Came here to say this. He is probably the most consistently funny character in any form of media I have ever seen. "It don't matter. None of this matters" is like a thesis statement for his character and the entire show.
I have found that there's a quote from Carl for almost every situation. But the man summed everything up nicely with just "It don't matter. None of this matters."
I remember the day Adult Swim aired. Cartoon Network had all facets of animation covered, from adult animation, to anime, to classic cartoons. What an era.
I was a senior in High School when the movie came out, and no joke, my girlfriend of 3 years dumped me for going to see it. She had seen the show before and straight up told me that after graduation she didnt want to date a child anymore. Still..... It was worth it.
I remember when the movie was about to come out, Adult Swim made this big deal saying they were going to air it on tv. And they did, but like 2-3 seconds after it started the sound cuts out and the show shrunk down into the bottom right corner of the screen and was so small you couldn't really make out what was going on. They showed the normal AS lineup as scheduled but they did indeed show the whole film, albeit too small to see and with no sound.
They were so snarky with the line in that bumper after they shrunk it before continuing with the movie i sat there and watched all of the Egypt segment up until they went to Lincoln’s before i gave up and watched something else the movie was well worth getting its just one extra long episode

Me and my friend were only ones that watched adultswim. He went to my old school and at the new school there was only one kid there that watched once it started hitting its peak later on. Only knew he watched it cause he was only kid in school to acknowledge my ATHF tshirt I wore one day haha. Venture bro’s was me and my buddies favorite show, even if we waited sooo long for new episodes it was worth it. We even made our gamer tags henchman_21 and henchman_24 haha good times!

I remember at one point they used to have like these different scenes like one of them for a while was like the animation of like a factory in the background and it just looked cool during transitions between shows

Watching adult swim as a child was like a fever dream. I remember getting anxiety my parents would see the 30 second warning they used to broadcast when they were switching from cartoon network to adult swim.

It happens with every character though. There was an adult swim bumper that said the reason this happens is because Shake cloned every item so many times that they've become super unstable and explode every time they fall.
ATHF has some of the best dialogue of any animated series ever. Its like classic Simpsons, you can constantly rewatch clips from it and enjoy it over and over....so is written in the holy Bibble.
I will never ever get tired of these sort of vids. Hearing James talk about his favorite stuff and his sources of inspiration and amusement is greatly entertaining/
Funny trivia: the website they mention on Interfection actually existed back in the day, it would open a bunch of popups just like in the episode. It scared the shit out of me.

This show was an important part of my childhood. I remember being 5 and sick so my parents let me stay up and watch aqua teen and sea lab with them while eating sugar rice. I called it the “McDonalds show”
But South Park had not reached its prime yet. You must remember that South Park took some time to actually find its greatness. Still this show is so unique that it can exist in a world where South Park is still the best animated show ever made just because of its unique style

This show and Sealab were the goddamn best thing ever when they came out. And this was in a world where South Park already existed.

Early Adult Swim is fantastic, very few of the shows were bad.
@@YeTheGOATNoCap sealab 2020 and archer the tv show take place in the same universe and cross over during an episode of archer.
But South Park had not reached its prime yet. You must remember that South Park took some time to actually find its greatness. Still this show is so unique that it can exist in a world where South Park is still the best animated show ever made just because of its unique style
