Splod ™ That’s the beauty of music. You can’t underrate or overrate anything since it’s all subjective! Your opinion is equal to mine and everybody else’s. :)
Brian "Well..its..sorta..a story..about a boy who's.. Alive. And um..hes breathing. Uh.. Yaknow he sort of like- well musically it started as um..' Micheal "I wrote it and yea"
adoseofrandom genius’s both of them. There’s nothing else like them now. They are Lennon MaCartney Wilson of today. They’ve borrowed but there is nothing in anything they do that pins them to anything particular.
Michael’s descriptions of the songs remind me of someone in a diner telling the waitress he wants a burger prepared a certain way that might render the cook a little confused, and a chocolate milk shake.
At first I couldn’t fully grasp this album but I’ve thus listened to its entirety like 50 times and have to say it’s a beautifully written album from beginning to end
The record is actually very good and consistent, the messages shine through pretty well for me especially after this, If You Give Enough really does show us to continue to shine our light on others no matter what, forget the conditioning we've all received and learn to live and treat people in your own way, be the positive influence you wish to see in the world while we're here for this short time.
greg thomas Haha yeah I guess. I just really like how the depressing and sometimes threatening lyrics is contrasted by this calm and relaxed music. It really reminds me of how adults can be so oblivious to kids and how they sometimes see bad things happen to them and decide to pretend everything is fine. Then the kids are just left in this confusing and distressing position of trying to figure out how to function like a normal person.
Love the Album. It's like when I was young and used to get a new album and keep listening to it for a couple of weeks. And then it would be a favourite over the years.
I had so many questions about the creative process of this album that have just been solved woth this video. I was interested in the way the created the atmosphere of the album through a bunch of songs that may not have any relation but they still feel like one solid unity of short episodes telling a story. It's amazing that the Twigs took different songs made in different moments of their young lives. Just beautiful.
literally one of the greatest albums of all time and changed my life in so many ways, "if you give enough" specifically is one of those very rare special examples of music that gives me hope for a better world
Took me a couple listens to fall completely in love with Go To School- watching this video back a few months later is so cool 😊 these guys are the greatest
Yes it's like an amalgam of The Who's Tommy & Quadrophenia along with something new. It is quite sad, but it's ultimately uplifting. Glad that they did this. You don't really hear rock operas nowadays.
Yeah I don't get the whole musical story path they're taking, I really wish they would hearken back to 'What We Know', their best work, and my favorite sound of theirs.
They’re never going to play like in that particular album, I mean they won’t even play it live. The have said that they’re a lot more excited about exploring their roots and classic rock like their dads and Todd’s, etc, they said it’s a good album but What we know made them feel like they were ripping off tame impala and newer bands, so yeah I enjoy that album but sadly I don’t think they’ll ever go back to that particular sound... and given the fact that Rundgren it’s now around them just make it look as something almost impossible. But anyway, I’m enjoying what they’re doing
This is to me one of the greatest albums ever made. Not exaggerating. The music and the concept story carries vast brilliance.
It's a good album, but don't overrate it please.

how is this so accurate
The Lemon Twigs are gifted beyond belief; their music speaks so much to me. Makes me think whether wisdom takes different forms...
the difference between Brian explaining his songs vs Michael is so funny… bc Brian got shit to say then there’s Michael saying a sentence or two
This album is a masterpiece. These guys are absolutely incredible.
This album was so amazing, i cant stop thinking about the story. we NEED an actual musical play on this. it'd be so wonderful..

Very well said.
The bully is my favourite song on the album. Just brilliant and so fun
You like the bossa nova, huh?

David Hodson Exactly what’s happened with me for this one.
I find their music to be just genius!..So many levels..worlds..dimensions...

I just found this record last night, but I’m already in love with it. I’m so glad this band exists. Maybe there is hope for my generation, after all.
BRIAN IS SUCH A DREAMBOAT
The maturity and vision of the D'Addario brothers' music is mind boggling. It's like they were fully-formed musicians from birth. ♥♥
How are they so talented? Is it the lemons?
Alma W. It’s their dad, he taught them how to play and how to write music
its the lemons
Nah.... It's the twigs
Took me a couple listens to fall completely in love with Go To School- watching this video back a few months later is so cool 😊 these guys are the greatest
Thank you guys. It really helps me love the songs I already love even more
Brilliant little men
Brian seems like he's always about to cry.
Genius. ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
Can’t wait to see them this year 🙌🏼
Love these kids. I think they have a great future.
Unashamedly saying I love you guys.
Love them so much❤️❤️ seeing them in DC
this guys are so underrated... fuck!
New drinking game: Every time Brian says "sort of", someone has to drink.
Spoiler alert: we all end up drunk as hell.
Having to interview them separately because they always interrupt each other
Support this guys.
the lesson is so fucking good
so charming. thank god you're out there TLT
Insane!!
Yeah they are so wonderfully weird, definitely rock stars in training...
The album is brilliant, but very sad, cant listen without making a pause haha. Reminds me of the whos Tommy
I was thinking the same thing

@@MariaMoments Omg I LOVE your profile pic
love it
This was helpful. Now get that animated/cgi/stopmotion/claymation production done.
when will the musical come out???
Check out their Dad , Ronnie D . I bought his music before his sons lol . They are all great musicians !!!
Amazing band n awesome album!
IM SO FUCKIN PROUD OF THEM
So good
Try to count the number of times Brian says "sort of."
They are so different! 😂
I'm 24 and they make me feel so untalented
It's in the test
The concept of this album is based on Curious George??? Lol
fuckkkkkkk want to listen to the new album but a Brodie broke😢
Really excited about this duo, they remind me a bit of Phoenix.
wtf lmao they have nothing in common with Phoenix
Yeah I don't get the whole musical story path they're taking, I really wish they would hearken back to 'What We Know', their best work, and my favorite sound of theirs.
It's a concept album. The wall was the same way
So was black parade and American idiot

Why that album is not in Spotify? I enjoyed more than the new record lol
@@Tommy-TwigFan they more or less disown it. But fuck it's a good one
What this album is missing is the teenage suicide that occurs in the last couple of years of high school
well , a 100 people get murdered, so, there's that
is this album an allegory for trans people ?
I certainly feel like home of a heart fits the bill
No
