Well, that was the most polite "wendigo" i've ever heard.... for someone living alone in the underground for all that time, the guy seemed rather unusually sociable.
Imagine a hunger for human flesh. And a fresh human comes along. Instead of attacking you have the will to not only resist the tempation to feed but to also instruct the human to block you from ever feeding again. The monster here was the protag
What a way to die. Starvation is a long and painful death. Too bad the protagonist didn't have a weapon though killing has its own issues. Kudos to the narrator and author.
I like it! It reminds me of the gothic horror classic "Death Line" AKA "Raw Meat" from 1972 which was in turn inspired by the legend of the Scottish cannibal Sawney Bean(e) from the 16th century.
Most creative process these days have such original and creative ideas like this, but have really weak endings then make them into just stories, and not horror.
@@CPorter Weak ending? I thought this story concluded on a high note, tying everything up and resolving the story. If anything, the "horror continues" is the generic ending. Rarely does a horror story have a good and strong conclusions that leaves no room for, "but what if...?"
@@hunterg.1300 where have you been for the last five or six years? Nearly every Creepypasta these days has a "good ending" where everything is resolved these days. To the point where it's not even horror anymore and just a Thriller.
Just when you think there's a story without a Windigo, skinwalker or generic gangly humanoid BAM! Windigo! Not even in WWII England can you escape Windigos.
It's vague... I think it was a way for the cannibal grandfather to rationalize what he was doing. The cannibal grandson stated that could just be madness. If you know the legend of Wendigos they aren't exactly remorseful creatures. This seems like a story of generational trauma that lead to a type of generational psychosis and the Wendigo folklore was the rationalization for it. They couldn't stop because they were so far down the rabbit hole that it was just too late to be rehabilitated. A Wendigo wouldn't have asked the MC seal him in and let him die. Most folklore states the Wendigo possess the person who resorts to cannibalism in times of desperation. He wouldn't have been remorseful and would have been much more vicious. He was also eating a corpse that was long dead by it's describtion. Not a fresh kill. A good adaptation of a Wendigo was the 2+hr narration by Lighthouse Horror, if you're interested. It's one if the best stories involving Wendigos and the closet to being faithful to the folklore.
Starvation is awful, I got robbed walking home from the supermarket all my cash and card's, police told me that they had a 50 50 chance of making an arrest, after 8 days with 1 small bowl of porridge each day i has to start Stealing to eat i had never stole anything before, it is amazing what you can learn when you are so hungry you cant sleep aftee 1month of hell i was17 pounds lighter and weak but I got over it i just felt like telling anyone out there thats interested
So you “fix” one crime with a slew of others? Were there no churches? No charities? No food banks? No ebt? No one you could ask for help? I find that impossible to believe, hunger is a powerful motivator but you did not have to turn to crime, you chose to because you were too lazy to do anything else.

"Nah, just Canadians."

Why the hell are there so many greatly written creepypastas these days with good plots and original ideas, that have weak as hell endings?
