      Big fan of it. Needs some tuning with smart targeting. I THINK they should make it as big as starfall. Or make it just around the totem and use projection talent. Has target cap anyway, why not? Now they need a new design for earth shield. Maybe add more charges with healing procs.

      I think the idea behind it is good, but the execution is kind of a miss. I think that a better interaction with healing rain for the new totem would be that it replaces healing rain entirely, it's a targeted cast (similar to unleash life) for an initial bit of healing, and that the totem gets dropped next to you and causes a healing rain to follow the target you cast it on. I.e. it doesn't constantly refresh, but slowly follows your target like an AOE that would just be coming from that player themselves. They would likely have to tweak CDs / durations from what the totem currently is, but I think that gets rid of "another button being added" while also alleviating the annoyance have having to hard cast healing rain every so often and it makes it more engaging with others in the party. I.e. you might have to be more careful with who you cast it on as you might want them to be in melee and make full use of acid rain as well and such.
      I like the idea they started with though, I just think it didn't quite hit the nail on the head in it's current iteration in my opinion.

      Did a raid test with totemic. Loved to play it but Raid Leaiders will not enjoy it as a lot of time it dont reach boss reducing acid raid damage.

      depends if it lands on the boomkin in keys, that would be bad.... prio amount of allies so it lands on tank + 1-2 melee and then I absolutely love it.

      The problem is not to press it again and again, but that it is a god damn cast. Man i can't play shaman the same day after i played my druid. Every time im freaking out about healing rain not being an instant.

      @@j3rando53 haha naaah, at least u have to put it down at the right position on the ground so it's kinda different every time :D for pugs it's so much more convenient to put it instantly on the ground with the ability to relocate it instantly again (like Efflorescence for druids).

      Yea but it robs character identity to have every class be able to do the exact same thing. Just name the spell "giant aoe insta heal". I like healing rain as is, I guess it's just user preference

    Great video! Ty! Another drawback that I found is that, like unleash life, if you are running master of the elements, the rain of the totem will increase 20%, consuming that boost that you could use in another spell.

    It would be so nice if they add the vespert totem effect to the surging totem. Like a vespert totem that cast healing rain and you can move it to relocate healing rain. I miss SL resto so much. Seeing vespert pop with damage and healing it was so amazing and it would give a competent damage to m+ shaman. I was hoping they did that in totemic from the beggining but again it is Blizzard and they hate shams

    It would be great if the toten allowed you to cast healing rain as an instant cast while its active, allowing also 2 spots for rain

    This is a great video Mads. Would love to see more vids like this for the other hero trees and healers. Not many videos out there where people take time to evaluate each talent. Especially on their own in isolation. They tend to overlay random visually noisy gameplay while talking about talents, but as a viewer who hasnt tried the tree, I don't know what I'm looking at, wheres the skill useage etc etc. More stuff like this please!

    I am so glad they bring back the enjoyable, most efficient mechanics the shaman had in years under the form of the lively totems talent. I had the same good experience as you had with this mechanic and i really missed it in dragonflight ! Super news, let s hope that they will not screw this up at the release.

    I would love to quick healing rain from my bar forever.
    About the rains positioning, dropping the totem in the right spot wouldn't solve it?
    I mean, group is coming from south to north and engages the pack. If you want to heal only the rangeds, drop it south, behind the rangeds. If you want to heal melees, drop it north, after the pack. This way the totem will only have the range to drop rains on the group you want to heal!
    Would it work?
    Another solution could be an "autocast button" similar to pets skills.
    If you enable it, it keeps changing the rain position. If you disable, the totem is the centre of the Rain for the entire duration.

    I would love it if they made healing rain spawn at the totem and gave you an ability to move it around, sort of like vesper totem.

    But does the HR placed on your allies (healer+2caster in m+) heavily reduce the acid rain sense?

    This IS the content we need. MOAR BETA! Also, RSham needs a talent tree rework since many of the talents overlap w/each other and RIP riptide build. On dummies I didn't get any noticeable gain from stormkeeper or master of elements over 1 minute. Many trap talents.

    I don't really see a problem with effect that speeds up cast time. I can use it to get a Pwave Healing Wave out faster.

    They should at least let us pick the location of the totem with the first healing rain, like healing rain now.
    But the acid rain part is gonna be a problem. If we get forced to stand in melee in certain combs...no thx.

    Silly me was hoping for a return of vesper totem... The tree is cool, but I wish shaman would get more damage to healing abilities.

    I think the biggest issue is that shamans dont have a raid buff still, like, they gave every other class a raid buff, just give shaman one already!

    I don't like the idea of hero talents being used to fix a bad gameplay mechanic for a class. Why not just fix the issue in the first place?

    Its shaman, so probably safe to assume its clunky, unfun and crap.
    Having 1-2 totems active at any one time is lame AF just btw… should be 4-6

    Question: if totem cast a healing raind does this override your healing rain? or vice-versa if totem cast healing raind and you cast your healing raind this will override the totem rain? or stacks?

      It replases your healing rain, so you won't be able to cast healing rain when you are specced to totem.

    Hm i dont like the healing rain totem, i would prefer having controll where to place it.
    I dont trust the randomnes.

    In my opinion, Blizzard should bring back Call of Elements. I REALLY dislike having to hit every totem separately and having like 30 keybinds, I much prefer Shaman in Cataclysm because I can just hit 1 button and automatically have 4 totems out. That is the main reason I can't play Shaman in retail, wayyyyy too keybind bloated.

      When in df are you placing multiple totems at a time though?
      Totems are more active cooldowns now than in cata. In cata they were more just passive buffs you always needed to have down. That was way more annoying to need them down all the time just to be effective.

      @@kermitthefragg I strictly PVP, so I'm not sure about how often you do it in a M+ or whatever. But in arena I'd usually try and have a healing stream totem, tremor totem (when fear or whatever is cast), grounding totem (for when they cast a big spell), you might have an earthgrab totem to help you kite. And I sometimes have all of those active at once, which is like 5 additional keybinds.
