@@DemiGod.. hilleberg are solid. I think honestly any tent that is half decent holds up to punishment, but harsh conditions just shouldn’t be camped in. Far too many times people are testing substandard equipment, where actually it should be expedition tents used and not lightweight gear. You won’t find Sir Ranulph Fiennes chasing lightweight. Get solid equipment that suits the conditions you expose yourself too. No weekend camper rent is up to expedition quality

I have the Akto too and it’s a great tent. I always keep the end vents open and there’s no issue with extra cold coming in. Definitely get the footprint it makes the living space a much nicer place to be and keeps everything clean. In the summer I’ve slept with the inner rolled back making it huge inside which helps with condensation too. As for Hilleberg having haters out on the hills I’m not so sure that’s true I personally think that’s only a thing because some RUclipsrs have said it is and it’s snowballed. I personally haven’t encountered anyone saying anything. I listen to many people camping on RUclips and wondering whether their tent will hold up to the conditions and always think to myself why bother worrying, just buy a tent that you know will handle anything you can throw at it. Of course the price of a Hilleberg is sooooo expensive but if you can afford one then go for it. I hope you enjoy her!
