We loved capturing the super cool 360 footage with our new camera! Check it out here. www.insta360.com/sal/x3?insrc=INR6I72 Thanks so much for watching!
The Panama canal has to be an exhausting, expensive, stressful experience, but it also seems really exciting at the same time. Belated congratulations!
Congratulations and welcome to the Pacific Ocean! Hope to see ya'll at the Islands some day! Thanks for the video. So until next time, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii!
WoW! What an amazing passage! Each and every time I see RUclipsrs going through this Canal, I think of my Ancestor that planned it and built it till he could not finance the last 20% ! So sad in a way, but such a fantastic Idea! (Ferdinand de Lesseps) he also did the Suez Canal!
Congratulations! I was wondering how you’re doing ! Love to see you guys ! Panama Canal when I was a boy learned about the water filling and multiple doors! Watching real passing through by friends is so cool ! You’re like walking on the red carpet 😊 Overcoming the big one. What is the next step? Anyway please enjoy and have relax journeys on the other side😊
😂 Thanks Hiro!! It’s such a cool thing to see up close and personal. Next step is to continue preparing the boat to sail across the Pacific. Getting closer to Japan! 😊
A new step, a new chapter for new adventures! Thanks for the video, certainly the best on the Panama Canal I've ever seen. It showed its proportions, the amount of people involved in the process, gave a very good idea of the whole process! In the end, the money paid is well spend. Congratulations and enjoy the new journey of your lives!
I have fond memories of this passage.the first time was in 1975 and I was a 1st trip deck boy fresh out of Gravesend sea training college. We done a night time crossing and I was woken up at about 3am with a bunch of carrots and told it was my duty to feed the mules. I then proceeded to walk around the decks looking for little donkeys much to the amusement of everyone on board. A lesson learned is a lesson earned. I went through again nearly 20 yrs later as bosun on a Ben line cargo ship this time during daylight, but unfortunately we didn’t carry junior rating’s so I couldn’t carry on the timeless tradition. 0:12
@@HarborsUnknown I can’t complain, that same trip I started as a polly-wog and ended up a shell-back,and that tradition is still practiced today when someone crosses the line. I was lucky a virtual circumnavigation on my first trip a bit longish I signed on for 3 months and got home 14 months later, but the experiences, sights etc e.g. the vastness of the ocean crammed full with life, whales dolphins and birds hundreds of miles from land. I envy you as you’re seeing now what I saw and wondered at the beauty of this world
Fascinating journey. Can't wait to see your subscription turn to 10k !!!! The only downside of being a subscriber is that I can't subscribe...😂 Yall have worked really hard and deserve many more.
Thank you for watching! We used an agent and all that was included in the fee of approximately $2000. We think it has been well worth it to use the agent.😊
Great transiting!!! Congrats !!! 🍾🥂 Quick question: do they allow you to overnight one or two nights in the lake area before transiting the rest of the locks to the Pacific? Or do you have to complete the full transit? Is there any point to staying within the lake area? Anyway, French Polynesia here you come....Then Australia!!! Yay! 🎊🎉🍾
Thank you!! The canal agent sets times and schedules for transit. We were assigned a slot for same day passage. Other vessels spend an overnight in the lake at the assigned moorings. I do not believe you can choose the slot and you must complete the assigned transit slot with the agent on board. Thanks for watching ❤️❤️

What’s the chances of a stray bumper eh? 🤭

@@HarborsUnknown Thanks for the prompt reply! Fair 💨 and following 🌊 for you both!
Did it cost anything to get through the lock what kind of fee it costs to get to pacific ocean
Yes, the fee is based on the length of the vessel. It was about $2k when we crossed.
Oh wow thanks foe the reply Been binge watching your vlogs
