Ling Ling your black notes on the piano are the sharps or flats, whatever you prefer to call them. The flat symbol looks like a “b” and the sharp symbol looks like this #. If you have a flat symbol on a note, it means go down a half step, which would be the next key to the left of the one you’re playing, like G for example, you would go down to the black key which is Gb. The same concept applies for sharps, but you would go up a half step (up a key to the right). You can have flats and sharps on any of the notes A-G. I’ve been playing music at school and other places for about 6 years now, so my explanation helps!
