Thanks for giving us permission to use our pens! 💛 I always worry about brush pens on watercolor paper, but if that’s the look I want, I should just go for it! I agree that the quality is more important than the paper used!
You really need to try Yop and Tom. These look as pretty as Archer and Olive yet have the smoothness of Rhodia paper. It’s a win win! A lot of pens surprised me on how much I’d love them. I bought all the fancy ones, Tombow, Karin etc and absolutely love staedtler triplus. I’m an absolute pen nut though. I love lots of them. Started my calligraphy pen journey with you and I’ve kind of gone through similar patterns of how I use my pens and what I consider as a ‘piece’ along with you. Thank you so much. 📝🖋️🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
I love your approach to creating and creativity, I studied Graphic Design and was very bad at calligraphy. I am giving myself a second chance because of your videos.🥰
Hi Sarah! Gratefully appreciate the encouragement and positivity in your videos! Brush pens are meant to be used and they will fray either way over time. In fact, brush pens tend to get dry more if they don't get used. Exploring our creativity is important for honing the skills. I admire the inspiration and lettering layouts. Honoured to have practice lettering with your worksheets which helped me get through challenging times in my life. You were a high school teacher before? Beautiful calligraphy 🎨
Yes, I would try to use up every marker, even the ones I tried and were disappointed in. Frayed ones were used up for backgrounds amap. Decent brush pens, yes. But it's hard to find smooth, white paper in a binded traditional size travel notebook that isn't overpriced. 😅
Have you tried the other colors of tombow fudes? I saw a pastel and neon color set on amazon for the first time, and it showed pictures of them writing on black paper!
