A few days ago I had a thought come to me about where are we in the scope of time and what are the next Biblical events to take place, then I started hearing all these messages online relating to it, must be the Holy Spirit guiding. God wants us to be spreading the gospel, loving our neighbors, glorifying the creator, being filled with the spirit of truth and surrendering our will to God and being sanctified and sealed for the day of redemption.

Very practical and educational sermon! Just a response to Pastor Batchelor asking if anyone tested whether Chinese food fills you, I can say that I have and it's simply not true that it fills you for an hour before you're hungry again. I've been living in China and Hong Kong for more than a decade and half and eating Chinese food most of this time. If you cook a proper Chinese (vegan, sugar free meal), it can sustain you for half a day (which is much better than some typical western meals, like one finds in McDonalds).
It's funny I Tell all I talk to to watch and hear pastor Doug and watch amazing facts but they tend to laugh or scorn me about it this is so true but I do not stop. AMEN.
I THANK GOD FOR THIS GREAT MESSAGE, BUT THERE IS AN IMPORTANT CORRECTION TO MAKE In the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13, the lamp symbolizes the word. Like it says in Psalm 119:105 (KJV) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." the fuel symbolizes the faith. And the light produced by the lamp symbolizes the fruits. the foolish virgins are the ones who didn't put their faith completely in the word of God. Not only the light of their lamp is not of quality; it's a weak light, but it will die out. That's the condition of those who are not truly saved, the fake believers. They also often produce some fruits, but they are fruits of bad quality as it says in the parable of the sower. And their frits don't last just as the light of the lamp of the foolish virgins didn't last. Just as the oil of the foolish virgins wasn't enough to sustain them till the coming of the bridegroom, the weak faith of fake believers will not be enough to make them persevere till the end. Unlike what many religious people think, foolish virgin didn't lose their salvation. They were foolish from start. They never started their journey to meet the bridegroom the right way. They started it the wrong way. Someone who is really saved cannot start his journey the wrong way. Jesus said that the one who has, more will be given to him and he will have in abundance. That means that if you really have life and you bear the fruits of salvation, God is going to increase your faith so that you can bear more fruits. IT'S A GUARANTEE! (eternal security) That's what we see with the virgins. The foolish virgins had little light (fruits); that light couldn't light them enough to find more fuel in time and add it to their lamp. But the wise virgins had enough light which could light them enough to find fuel in time and to add it to their lamp. We also understand in the parable that just like fuel was individual in the parable, faith is also individual. You cannot rely on the faith of someone else to be saved. But someone who is filled witht he spirit can make someone else by baptized by the spirit. So the fuel has to symbolized something that can't be shared. Another argument that solidifies the fact that the lamp symbolizes the word is that both the foolish and wise virgins have received the same kind of lamp. Just as true and false believers receive the same word from God. But the difference is first with the faith and then with the fruits which is symbolized by the light of the lamp. Those of the wise group possess more of both than those of the foolish group. Some scholars have a slightly different interpretation of the parable in the sense that the fuel symbolizes the holy spirit. And at first it makes sense when we realize that the lamp get filled with oil just as we get filled with the spirit. But the problem is that the lamp as we've all agreed above is not our heart, but rather the word. The fuel in the lamp as a result doesn't symbolize the holy spirit in us, but rather faith in the word. And the lamp filled with fuel symbolizes one who has put his faith completely in the word. Because both the faith and the word are in our heart. The one who has more faith holds more to the word in his/her heart. Someone who is filled with the spirit can make someone else by baptized by the spirit. For instance through the laying of hands as the apostles used to do. So the fuel has to symbolized something that can't be shared. Just s the virgins couldn't share their fuel in the parable. That's why it makes sense that fuel symbolizes faith. More convincing even is when we realize that the ministry of the holy spirit in the lives of the disciples had not yet begun when Jesus was making this parable. Jesus hardly talked about the holy spirit in his explained parables. The three things Jesus constantly talked about during his ministry before the holy spirit was given were: The word, the faith and the fruits of the believer. And that's what we find in the parable of the sower. The word, the faith and the fruits. That's why it makes completely sense that Jesus would be dealing with the same 3 elements here in this parable of the ten virgins. So that's a small mistake from these scholars. The fact that oil has often been associated with the holy spirit in the scriptures doesn't mean that oil will always symbolize the holy spirit everywhere in the scriptures. We need to have a flexible perspective when studying scriptures because God's wisdom is not static.

10 Virgins refer to 10 lost Tribes , they are Virgins because they have not yet receive the Teachings of Jesus whereas the 2 Tribes(Judah & Benjamin) received the Good News from Jesus himself, 3 years ministry..The 10 Tribes are the Beast that rise from the Sea of Rev. 13 ,Beast with 10 Horns, Countries around South China Sea, or the Last 10 Kings..5 were Foolish, not absolute criteria for tottally lost , that is why there are 7 Churches of of Asia, totally lost were 3 Tribes plus 2 in the 7 Churches of Asia were foolish.
God have mercy on us. Probably some of us look like 'the fig tree in leaf from a distance Mark 11:13. We look like rich (Rev. 3:16-17), we say that we are rich (with oil reserves) and before going to sleep, we seem to have no information needs about/for the wedding. But the temptation to pretend that all is well and another snare to sleep while all lamps are burning, fail us to get help before hand. The Master of the wedding is giving some counsel to us to buy from Him the oil/the salve, it is in abundance. Come one, come all with no money. N.B. He is the salesman: selling oil to us. This is the time to buy oil, use for ourselves, share (sharing is still allowed) and store enough for the great day. The commotion of the great day will not allow sharing. Compare the great distress on the Titanic, the life saver boats were the oil much needed. Once the Master stops selling the oil, He will come to the wedding. That is the 'delay' He sells His own oil to be used for His wedding. The door is closed because the five girls will not find genuine wedding oil/wedding garment🥼. Helps us dear Lord, while we are in your presence (oil shop) to increase our attentiveness so that no oil spills, it all goes to the reserves and that we get enough to store for the dark season/disaster preparedness
