I was talking bout Mark Hunt way back in 2002 when he was K-1. Definently one of my favorite fighters of all time. This guy is so skilled. It's good to see two BMFs.
Jorge.....I never fought in the UFC....it came around as I was towards the end of my fighting but I had many underground fights.....and was well rounded. I enjoy watching the "humble" fighters. Not weak mind you but not trash talking and personally attacking someones family, race, religion etc. Even the "stare down" was not important to me. I just did my talking....expressed myself in the fight itself. I admire you as I do all the fighters who do not buy into they hype and trash talking. As you, I believe we are men and should have some honor and respect for ourselves and each other. At the end of the day, of course we will go all out in whatever rules we have in whatever fight or competition we have, but that does not mean we have to be enemies. I also despised the trash talkers and enjoyed the times I was able to shut them up once our fight actually started. RESPECT......you get it....and it is always a pleasure to watch you fight. I know the timing was wrong for me....had I been born a generation later I would have competed in the UFC most likely. Honestly.....I did not do it for money....I did it for other reasons, BUT back then it was hard to really make much money at it anyways. I had a fanatical passion for it.....some early aged emotional issues that drove me also. I guess fighting really kept me from going down other much more destructive paths so it served its purpose in that sense.
