- Whelp, this is a plot twist we weren't expecting. Davi’s in-laws were supposed to see her stand up for the first time on Friday. Little did she know, that was going to be the least of her worries.
This night turned out to be her worst comedy experience EVER, not because of the venue, but because of how she was treated by the headliner!
Things get interesting as Heather McDonald calls in to give her rebuttal and shares her side of the story.

Heather calls herself a professional is a laugh as long as she has been in the business she should have known to just apologize and not the "play by play" it just didn't do her any favors and now years later its come back to haunt her it doesn't matter if she is right or wrong.
Haven't been a fan of Heathers EVER. She's very impressed with herself and the celebs she wants to hang with. She may want to listen to these people and do some soul searching.

It's now 2023 and I still don't know who Davi or Dobi or Bert is. But I will say watching this that Davi/Dobi was really rude. It doesn't matter how mad she was that her or cedrik(?) Sold all the tickets (doubt that)and Heather didn't sell very many, don't believe that. Point was Heather had text from September and you didn't have proof that far back and this place dropped the ball and didn't pass along the text about the requirements for the time she would have. SHE WAS NOT THE HEADLINER. Davi should have stayed in her lane , stuck to the 10 minutes, kept it clean and got off the stage. If she wanted more time then headline your own show

Ugh. I was uncomfortable listeninh to Heather apologize, build Davi up and explain what happened while Davi & Bert acted petty.
I'm inclined to believe Heather. She offered up emails to prove her case and expressed heartfelt regret about what happened. Davi & Bert seemed more interested in taking shots at her and dying mad.

I’m a long time follower of Heather and her Juicy Scoop! And she 💯 supports women and uplifts other comics. I think there is some other sort of issue going on here and shame on the venue for such poor communication. City Winery F up in my opinion.
They had to do what they had to do because Heather did not sell enough tickets. So they had to pull in other talent. They were probably embarrassed to tell her that, but they should have.
Usually it is normal to give someone a chance. Horrible people and just a miscommunication. Heather shouldn’t have wasted her time.

Very unprofessionally handled by the venue. Dhavi might be a big star in Atlanta but she acts and speaks very immaturely. Heather McDonald was respectful and tried to correct it by calling in, she didn't have to do that.

I listen to the Bert show so I know Davi can be very snippy & often sounds as though there is rage under the surface but she generally is funny. Bert often makes jabs when he disagrees but never heard Davi this rude on the show

I've witnessed many a disagreement but cannot remember one this ridiculous. This Davi person would be wise to learn a bit of grace. Regardless of whether she's right or wrong, it's clumsy and short sighted to disrespect someone who is apologizing. Having so little compassion for another person who is trying to save face just makes you look like a bully, Davi. Now that you've lost your pulpit I hope you see things differently from back in 2019 when your platform provided you a giggling panel of folks who were paid to be on your side.

Heather said from the beginning that she knew Davi was coming since 9/9 but they keep saying she said she didn’t know. After hearing everything, it seems like the venue dropped the ball on clear communication. However, that doesn’t mean you trash another talent in public. Work on your act and better yourself. This was just awkward to witness.

Melissa Westbrook I’ve listened to Heather’s podcast and have been to her shows. I have spoken to her personally on the phone. She is the most gracious and professional person you’ll ever meet. She only does shows with her friends. This was a misunderstanding and Davi needs to get her head out of her ass.

Heather was pissed bc she got called out for being a primadonna. Newer stand ups do often get treated like shit, or get the shit slots and shift for comedy clubs. But comedy can very much be like high-school... comics and venues remember shady shit, and will turn the tables at the first chance.

Wow, Heather obviously is a diva if she talks to people so abhorrently when first meeting them. No one has the right to treat people the way she did and for those fans who support this sort of behaviour should be ashamed. Bottom line this Heather person obviously needs the fans which is why she called into the show to apologise after she has received so much negativity since Davi explained what happened during the radio show and posted her experience.

Team Davi on this. In the moment you realize things are not the way you expect a real adult rolls with the punches. She could have just let her show run long and not cut the other guy, why should that have been a big deal at all. She also might have had a reason to be mad at the venue who knows, but she did not have to yell at people. The fast way to get people to do the opposite of what you want is yelling.

My inner monologue as I’m listening to this: “OH MY GAWD, bitch just apologize!”
We get it, big miscommunication, people massively fucked up, but that doesn’t excuse how she spoke to Davi the first time they met. She could have saved this whole situation by simply owning her own actions first before diving into the blame game for who’s fault it was that she acted so poorly. She also wanted to speak to Davi 10 minutes before the second set when she’d just ruined Davi’s set the day before. (Also right before Davi went on stage) I don’t blame Davi for purposely dodging her the next day. Why give someone an opportunity to ruin your night for the second day in a row. If Heather really felt that bad about it, why did she not fix the situation with an apology immediately after the show? She had about 24 hours to rectify her behavior before it ever got this far.

Heather should still apologize personally to Davi for her behavior that day. Sounds like 2 different teams were emailing Davi and Heather and thus both of them getting validation via email from the company but the validation is miss communication. Someone hire up that's a project manager/event coordinator fucked this up. Both have justifiable aggressions but it should be directed at city winery.

If Heather's assistant can't get email confirmation on details vital to her bit, why does she have an assistant? I'm sorry but if this detail was that important (it isn't) that it warrants yelling at her opener 8 minutes before the show, that absolutely needed written confirmation from the venue. You can't yell demands at the venue in an email, not get confirmation, and then be surprised if all the details aren't perfect. If she got confirmation she'd be offering proof that says "Ok we will forward to Davi X_Y_Z". It's awful suspicious the 3-4 things that Heather "didn't know about because they weren't communicated before", meanwhile Davi knew exactly every detail of the show and was on the same page as the venue.
How this should have been handled was Heather saying "aw shit they never told you?.... ok, it's only 10 minutes to go, that's ok do your bit as is", and then ream out the assistant/venue if you must. Why are you giving shit to someone who just showed you proof they did exactly what they were told? Totally unprofessional.
Also, by the way everyone is writing it's clear most of these negative comments are heather's fans. For everyone saying this is petty, not like you heard about it on this channel, so Heather is also posting this on social media. To act all high and mighty like you're above this only to do the same thing is pretty hipocrytical. Heather started the shit-flinging with totally unprofessional behaviour backstage, Davi is sharing a story about her life that's important to her, that's what this show IS.

Seems to me that Heather is barking up the wrong tree it's not on Davi that Heather's team messed up and didn't communicate. She's beating a dead horse suck it up and move on, orrrr manage your own shishh.
It doesn't matter if Davi isn't as known as her (Heather) or if Davi was supposed to know about the change (in timing, appearance, content) or if she didn't know if they did, in fact, inform Davi.
What matters THE most is the so called seasoned comic chewing her out! What matters is that the abrupt changes COULD HV derailed Davi's normally excellent set. What matters is that you (Heather) kept passing the blame and NEVER taking accountability. What matters is that you (Heather) NEVERRRR genuinely and maturely APOLOGIZED to Davi, smfh!

Davi is a funny and witty DJ on a morning radio show. She is not a professional comedian . Heather works her ass off doing 100 shows a year.
Davi's been doing stand up comedy for 12 years. She consistently sells out shows around the country when she tours. She's written stand-up for other acts and writes scripts for film. So...guess it depends what your definition of "professional comedian" is, because to us, she's both a funny & witty DJ on a morning radio show AND a professional comedian. 😊
