What a great interview! Heather makes everything great, but Wilkos is unexpectedly awesome. My brother always told me to marry a Midwesterner (he did,the went to University of Chicago med school and was an ER doctor in Chicago) rather than the California loser I was married to for 8 months and my bro has been with his Michigan girl for 20 years!
I grew up outside Chicago and have lived in Southern California for 35 years....never married but pine over a man I grew up with in Rockford. But I am not going back. I am addicted to the ocean and everything cali. He is so involved (my hero) in the community we grew up in to think of dragging him here. Your brother was right! There is something about midwest rearing. ❤
I love when you interview like industry equals, you always evoke great conversations and slices into people's real lives in such an interesting way ty for the scoopy as always (also more wine recs! love to hear what a woman of taste enjoys, notes for when i'm living a boujier life lmao)

My dad once told me that there’s no such thing as a friendship between a guy & a girl, 1 of them always wants to hook up with the other…I thought he was crazy bc I had a best guy friend from childhood who was my perfect example of my dad being wrong cause I was totally 100% convinced saw me as a sister as I def saw him as a brother….he really did A LOT for me now that I think about it, he helped me move then built all my furniture, went shopping with me to help me get everything from the store to the car etc he was always there for me as a shoulder, just always there to help (plus he lived across the street as we grew up & into adulthood) he helped me rebuild my house after house parties before my parents got home, rebuilt a fence, spackled walls & shit lol he was protective & voiced his opinion when he didnt approve of the guys I was with…then one day he brought up the concept of hooking up with me & I was SHOCKED!!! Almost immediately after that I met my husband & got pregnant & our friendship grew apart, I haven’t spoken to him in a year since his mom passed, & it had been years before then…but yeah, my dad was right!!
Sorry but your Dad is WRONG,.i have several Guy friends who are married,they are definitely my “chosen brothers “ none of us are interested in any else,GROSS
I laughed so hard when Steve said he got salty about spending $100 at the cigar bar! I'm happy to hear he has remained down to earth through all his success.
Awww…no…Heathers shows have been great…the subscriber numbers prove that. It’s not that she is “improving on her guests” it is just shat she is evolving…..diversifying….like we all do in our professional lives…. That just shows her level of commitment to her career in podcasting which she is BRILLIANT at….but I agree that the evolution is wonderful & refreshing!!
