Sheriff John Higgins quits and goes into prospecting after he thinks he has killed his best friend in shooting it out with robbers. - Кино
Another excellent John Wayne classic with a great cast including Buffalo Bill Jr., Frank Ball, and the best stuntman ever, Yak. Also great folk dancing and a cow milking contest scene with favorite western character actress Fern Emmett and silent screen vaudeville comic Jack Duffy, he looked like Pappy Yokum from Li'l Abner.
Yeah looking back in the past at these western movies its great moment.
Awesome movie I love the Old Western John Wayne movies him and Gabby Hayes good team and thank you for sharing 👍👍
Love John Wayne cowboy movies!!!!!

Came here for that lmao
@@cru3ltmo me too haha!
John Wayne, the one and only. In an interview that I watched, he said that he loved making movies, but he absolutely hated horses. Over the years I've noticed, if you look real good you can see that some of the riding & shooten stuff, not all, is done by a stunt man look alike. He liked Cadillac motor cars. The greatest cowboy star of all time.
I think Yakima Canutt did alot of the stunt man work involving horses etc. In the early John Wayne movies. He was extremely talented. Check out his bio on IMDB.
Enjoyed watching and George Hayes the Sheriff is the famous Gabby Hayes to be. If you haven't watched, please watch Big Trail, which I believe to be Wayne's first starring role. I think it's a great historic movie made in 1930.
You are correct, The Big Trail was John's first starring role, and his 22nd movie appearance. Many of his older movies, especially the silent ones, I was never able to spot John because he was just a random football player, or military man. It was the Westerns where John was recognized for his great talent and he got his early (and majority) of starring roles. The Duke is synonymous with Westerns and helped to establish the way fight scenes were choreographed. In his old movies he also displays dozens of unique ways to mount a horse; everything from jumping from a building onto horseback, to running up and jumping from behind, the side, etc. He was a huge man for his time and extremely athletic.
John got his nickname "Duke" because as a kid he was always with his dog, named Duke. That nickname stayed with him throughout his life.
I look forward to having conversations with him, Elvis and Jesus when I get to Heaven!
Nice movie ! Thanks for uploading it.
Loco female? A line that still lives today!
I love watching these old movies. Yo can watch them on the STARZ Network.
Very good. Much better than many other westerns from this time. The highlight of the movie - the two factions face off starting about 40:00.
Them hats is fer waterin' the horses.
Those are what you call ten gallon hats!!!!!!!
John Wayne (alone): "I'll round them up"
That was a great short film.
Geez, there is a bucket just by the creek for the overheating car engine. Ain´t that neat?
I like the part wayne thought he lost the ring and its in his pocket. LOL
Gabby Hayes was still relatively handsome at this stage. Its so hard to believe how much we change. I think he took his teeth out like Walter Brennan , but he sure didnt win any oscars.
I was just thinking that George Hayes was handsome man.
Excellent
i love those fistfights
K.O'D 😆

They are bigger on screen than in real life

Is one of the bad guys Tyrone Power? Just saw Nightmare Alley last night.
is aunt martha the bad witch in Wiz of OZ? sure does look like her.
Aunt Martha Hubbard was played by Fern Emmett. Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you!
Did they really wear those large hats back then ?
I still do🤠👈
I read somewhere that more more cowboys wore derbys than the more expensive stetsons.
Though not as common as the more classic ones,,, some folks did wear them in those days.
Quietist dog gone Indian attack ever at the end.
50:56...
"Women are sure queer critters ."
If John Wayne could take a peek into today, he'd turn over in his grave
