    Gloria, your videos were such a lifesaver today! I was invited to a formal dinner this evening, and thanks to your expertise, I was fully prepared and handled all the utensils and glasseware with ease. I definitely would have embarassed myself without your help. Thank you!

    Hello Gloria, I Love your videos and all your tips on manners. It seems in this so called modern society, manners is the last thing to be brought to dinner, weddings or any social event. I've had people look at me when I help my date with her coat on and off and pushing the chair under her and ordering for her. I'm happy to see your videos and to be honest you are a breath of fresh air.

    Gloria, my Dear. I have just found your channel and am looking forward to learn a lot from you. I don't come from the kind of family that would send me to finishing school because of their liberal views but feel I have missed a great opportunity and am too old now. Thank you for sharing your courses on here. Also you look beautiful.

      Greetings Marie-Joelle, Thanks for taking the time to share your story!
      I too wanted to go to a Finishing School and my Father said No. He thought girls did not need an education....
      So, in my early 30s, I paid to go to a Finishing School myself. The experience was life-changing! Not only did I learn, I changed careers and started teaching others. My career as a Executive Presence, Image, Business Etiquette, Manners, Communication and Leadership coach is all about a Finishing School.
      I am celebrating 38 years in this exciting business!
      It is never too late. One of my clients was 64 years of age when she started her Finishing School. You have more credibility and life experience when you are of a mature age!
      Here are the Certification Training Opportunities:

      @@ExpertGloriaStarr That is awesome, I didn't know you could even go to finishing school so late. Wow, 38 years that is something.

    This was lovely, and informative - thank you.
    My Mother always insisted that you never drink, when a toast is made to you ... I've never heard anyone else say this, so thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention.
    I wonder, why do you call champagne a 'glass'?
    My Mother insisted it was never a 'glass', always a 'flute'.
    Your thoughts?

    Thank you very much Gloria, you really play an important roll in our crumbling society . It's sad how we went from men tipping their hats when we saw a woman to people wearing pajama pants in public.

    Hello Gloria, your welcome. Please, please start with Hollywood, it needs a total makeover in class, manners, fashion and how to act in public. It's sad to see Hollywood slide like it has over the years. Can you please make a video on class, please explain what it is so people will understand what it is and what it does for people that have it.

      Hello Armon, I have been teaching and training globally for 30+ years! Clients select me, rather than me selecting them. Hollywood people seldom reach out for this type of training however, I did work with Destiny's Child.
      Most of my work is with Executives. Here is a link to a video on Class ruclips.net/video/v7Kwpkjta90/видео.html

    This was very educational. Thank you for posting. However, I was wondering what would one do if there were guests who do not drink alcohol? Would it be considered rude to refuse an alcoholic beverage? Or, would there be some other etiquette involved with this matter?

    • @ExpertGloriaStarr
      @ExpertGloriaStarr  6 лет назад +3

      The guest can decline alcohol (no explanation needed) and ask the host for another beverage. Lady Gloria Starr www.gloriastarr.com

      The amount of alcohol in the glass depends on the type of beverage. Champagne can be filled to approximately 3/4th of the glass, wine to approximately 1/2 full.

    May I ask where you purchased the second champagne glass? Is it a Waterford?

    • @ExpertGloriaStarr
      @ExpertGloriaStarr  7 лет назад +1

      Every week I go out to the Home Goods, Tuesday Morning and TJ Maxx stores to see what new treasures I can purchase. The second glass does appear to be Waterford however, it is not. I paid about $6.00 for that champagne glass.
