    One thing that surprised me, is I picked up some vintage Thai music and I was shocked to find I liked it. The 50's, 60's really seemed to be an interesting time in Thailand with some of the lounge type music, smokey bar scenes et cetera. I find it really interesting. Also, 10 baht for a clean toiled with AC is the best deal ever. There is nothing better than a clean bathroom.

    • @LifewithSerg
      @LifewithSerg  9 месяцев назад +1

    Patthavikorn Market by Public Transport
    Although the Patthavikorn Market is not in a walkable distance from an MRT line, it is easy to access the market by public transport. From Bangkok, take the yellow MRT line and exit Bang Kapi station. From there walk 300 meters to bus station "Before Happy Land Junction". Take bus 95 to reach Patthavikorn Market market and get off the bus at bus station "Opposite Patthawikorn Market". The bus ride will takes about 25 minutes, depending on the traffic. To go back to Bang Kapi at the yellow MRT line, take the same bus 95 at bus station "Patthawikorn Market".

    From what I understand, charities in the west receive used clothing and then resell it to buyers to be purchased by the kilo, and somehow it winds up in Bangkok, Africa and wherever else? Now this is fun, Japan has a very hip used clothing industry, and you will find Japanese buyers at Pattawikon buying the coolest stuff to ship back to Japan. If that clothing could talk… Fun video, I love Pattawikon.

      It’s a long way on a motorbike taxi from the center of the city. I personally don’t like to take motorbike taxis for more than 10 minutes. I have my own motorbike, but I prefer to take a comfortable taxi when I go to places like this, especially if I’m making videos. There’s lots of little hidden areas to this market that not everyone explores. Also if you come on a weekday, there’s much less vendors than on a weekend.
