@MilesAwayOfficial of course mate, it was really well played. Helps that it's one my all time favourite games also! Must have put nearly 300 hours into it since it released, that soundtrack is burned into my soul at this point.
@@chrisdavies9143 late reply but had to stop by and say I am the same. I've probably heard that soundtrack 1000 times too, it just hits so well for background focus music.
Holy shit...those pads are insane sounding. I've been looking for a stereo tremolo. The next step Walrus needs to go is having all of these features plus a variable LFO with different rhythmic patterns. Great video!
This made me smile. I've been thinking of making a digital harmonic pan; it was curious to me that nothing on the market seems to do it (I guess one of the big box modulation pedals (mobius, synesthesia, md-500....) could be coerced into doing it.) Regarding MIDI, I think disaster area designs probably sells something to make this work.
Awesome demo, review and sounds. Again. And that random blend pan at the end is RAD, imho. I remember you musing about acquiring a Prophet 5/10 not so long ago. Which - from personal experience - I fully support. And THIS, mate, is one of THE pedals to play that beast through to make it stereo. Maybe with that random blend pan you created so nicely!? And the Matriarch (that I see on its throne in the background) as well - because the Monumental is true stereo so the stereo width of that synth's beautiful analog delay will be untouched… Keep on groovin' - and keep 'em coming!
Thanks for the great comment man! I totally agree, this would be incredible on the P10 for stereo pads! Need to try it on the Matriarch, I honestly didn't even think of that so thx! I am still hoping to get a P10 eventually (glad to hear your vote of confidence!) but some other stuff has to go to make $ and room, and that's proving to be a really hard choice cause I love everything I have!
@@MilesAwayOfficial Always great to love what you have. Seconded! I just ordered the Monumental Tremolo to make the most out of my Matriarch & P10 - thanks for your helpful demo, mate! On another note: somehow, there always seems to be a little bit of pitch mod involved with tremolo (or at least, an impression of PM) - listening to your Rhodes w/tremolo reminded me of that, again. What do you think?
@@martincarbow5491 glad you got one! Enjoy! And yea I don’t know why that is but I totally hear what sounds like a bit of pitch mod. If I were to guess it’s probably caused by the Rhodes not being perfectly in tune going into the trem, then into the reverb. Amplifies the tuning discrepancies maybe?
Man, I have to stop watching your Walrus pedal reviews. Now I want this one too! I’d love to hear it paired with the Meraki and Sloer all together. That would be amazing. Although, with some patching, you can get some of the same/similar effects from the Matriarch with its dual filters and VCAs, and an attenuverter to invert the signal to one side.
Glad you like them! Yea I really am happy to show off their stuff, they've been really listening to the synth community as well as guitarists which is great to see, and their recent pedals sound SO good. This one is no exception! Very cool shout about the Matriarch, that's a great point, you definitely could get something similar, although I think it would be standard Trem not Harmonic trem right?
@@MilesAwayOfficial You could get a harmonic trem sort of thing using the dual filters. Send the LFO thru an attenuator, then to a mult, then send one direct to filter 1 cutoff and the other through another attenuator set to full invert to filter 2 cutoff. Instant stereo harmonic tremolo, sort of.
@@MilesAwayOfficial Can confirm (I bought both a couple days after seeing this). I have my Korg Volca Keys -> Monumental -> Meraki and the sounds they make together are SICK.
Everything in moderation, its got a pan amount knob to make it less extreme! The demos here kind of overdo it to clearly show whats happening, in the mix, I wouldn't have every single sound hard panned!
Sometimes smaller footprint is better for live players, but I agree the Sloer form is awesome! Monumental has full stereo I/o on the side which is fantastic though
@@henryhill92 I see pros and cons, I am utilitarian so it is nice when everything is the same size, BUT form factor, UI and aesthetic is such a big reason musicians collect pedals over just one multi fx like an HX stomp, so its kind of fun when different pedals have different shapes and sizes
I've been looking at this pedal for a while now - very nice. Good demo.
The sound without the pedal is a wavetable pad, you could make something similar in the free synth vital but it won’t sound exactly the same
Oh man that intro demo won me over immediately 🔥
Thanks man!!
2:37 loving the Persona 5 vibes. Nailed it mate, great video and a great demo of a product which is now on my wish list.
Thank you so much and stoked you got the Persona reference :) fave game

I think the Sunflower Deluxe Tremolo does it…
@@martincarbow5491 I think you're right! Their video explicitly has demos that!
Glad you enjoyed!

Thanks, great demo! The fact that I haven't personally read a shit review as yet, tells me practically every thing I need to know
sold ❤
Glad you liked it!!
thanks for this
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
I’m new to synths. How do I get the pad sounds at 8:35?
That's a really cool gadget 😮
Agreed eh!
Interesting one!
Cheers for watching!

Would it be a bad idea to plug this into a Meraki? What about a Meraki into this?
That sounds like a great idea! This before Meraki sounds awesome

I love tremolo but hate the panning, it’s way too much on headphones.

Thanks for the demo. And you’re so close. It’s TREM-olo. Not trem-O-lo. 😊
I'm canadian, it is kind of our thing to spell pronounce everything wrong haha
If only it were in the form factor of the SLOER!

Yeah, its frustrating for desktop use when companies don't keep their form-factor consistent.
