    It's the tune..... I've learned that lesson the hard way... Once you flash your car, You should expect to see that check engine light.. That's one of the main things tuner's leave out.. The part where 8 months after you get tuned you are stuck with a check engine light for the rest of the time you have the car... This is the reason I don't go HAM on Mod's or tuning anymore.. THANK God I learned this lesson on another car back in the day.. I was foolish and didn't keep my stock cats or any of the stock parts to put the car back to stock so i could sell it.. Now i can't even trade that car in for a couple grand even though it should be worth at least what the Mod's cost me and it's not because I couldn't just leave the car alone...

      tuning should not give you a CEL... mine's never had that and I've been tuned since day 1. I'm about to have a supercharger installed too, you just gotta do your due diligence and research a bunch on the forums

      If you get tuned and you still have a CEL your tuner is shit. All of the tunes I’ve ever had have been able to get rid of the CEL that pops up due to exhaust issues.

      Tune over time will not make the light come on

    • @Red5oh
      @Red5oh  24 дня назад

      As others pointed it cannot be the tune itself. If it was the tune it would've popped up way sooner than wait 2 years and 20k miles. I still have stock cats and am not running LTH, had I been doing either I could see that being the issue. It seems like that stock cats have failed for some around the same mileage so I wonder if that's a ford quality issue

      @@Tanner_Teves So you tuner has to violate federal emissions laws by turning off your P0420/430 codes or they suck? They're supposed to pay millions in fines so you won't have to deal with an orange light. Got it.

      I’d get the s550 and save some money tbh! You can get a 21-22 for a pretty good deal and it’s essentially the same car

    This is why I avoid aftermarket modifications and keep the vehicle stock.

      Yeah that’s a good idea and gives peace of mind. Mind is relatively stock but yeah not sure why these things haven’t worked as intended

    i have a 21 gt pp1 and this why I'm scared to get tunes cause of the check engine light, shid im good with just my catback exhaust and my pedal commander

      I’ve actually had the tune for couple years so I doubt it’s tune related since I only have a cat back and no lth catless set up

    If you’re going to have a light might as well delete cats or go high flow. Don’t be afraid of modification, e85, headers etc. the car will hold value fine as long as its not 150k mi. My 21’ PP has been fine with those mods.

    • @Red5oh
      @Red5oh  24 дня назад

      Yeah if the dealer refused to fix it then I’ll consider doing that and just go catless headers with e85

    I would do new oxygen sensors ,spark plugs new air filter clean mass air sensor and use 93 octane if you have a 93 only tune ? And I would change transmission fluid and have it reflashed and see if engine light comes on or have them change cats on warranty/ .thats just me I have a 5.0 roush supercharged and love it . Had check engine light too it’s was driver side oxygen sensor wire harness but they replaced wire harness, cat and oxygen sensor under warranty mine is a 23 good luck 🍀

      @Red5oh  26 дней назад

      Thanks for the suggestion! That’s my first step I’m going to return the car to stock and see if light comes back then I’ll have the dealer change cats under warranty but if they say it’s not cats then I’ll go through other steps. I only really run 93 octane so I don’t gas is an issue

    Want to get your opinion on something. I have a 2022 GT and I daily drive it. I'm about to get the SVE SP2 wheels. I'm certain I'm doing 285 all around, but I'm stuck on tires. What is your opinion on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S vs. Pilot Sport All Seasons? I live in Alabama which can be either dry or wet, weather changes all the time.

    • @Red5oh
      @Red5oh  24 дня назад

      So I actually went through the same debate and most people said for street driving Pilot Sport All Season (PSAS) are 90% there. I was skeptical but glad I got these. The car has gone 12.4 at the drag strip with these tires, with PS4S, it would help maybe .2 to .3 and drop to 12.1/2. So if you dig race or go to drag strip sure it might be better but even then it's marginal.
      Traction on street with PSAS is amazing, I can confidently floor it and not have to worry about traction. PSAS have done amazing in rain as well. They also can be used when temps drop below 40 degrees which is a big pro as while PS4S might be slightly faster (12.4 vs 12.1/2) it's not worth the hassle of switching tires and have a set up different wheels.. So in my opinion they are the best tires out there that do it all!

      Less internal noises like timing chain and knock sensors when you level up to 91 - 93 octane. occasionally i burn 87 but also notice idle differences and cold starts between low vs premium fuel.
