The WB had a huge library of TV shows and cartoons and also gave people that were heavily underrepresented in the media a platform for them. Kids WB was a huge library of anime and cartoons. When it became The CW, it had a variety of shows for a time. But then, in the 2010s, it became the Arrowverse network.
The CW used to be a great channel when they still had some shows from both The WB and UPN and great syndicated shows as well as a Saturday Morning cartoon block. Once Vortexx shut down, The CW started to go downhill and now that channel is on its last legs considering the new owner, Nexstar is trying to keep the channel afloat by adding sports and other types of programming.
One TV channel that could use an in-depth discussion about its history, is Ion, which was founded by Lowell "Bud" Paxson as inTV (Infomall Television) in 1995, changed its name to Pax in 1998, then i in 2005 before finally changing to Ion in 2007...
Sir, you forgot to talk about Sprout, ABC Family, Noggin, Playhouse Disney, Boomerang (from Cartoon Network era), Qubo, Fusion and Soapnet! So many iconic channels that got closed.
That would be a great video to talk about, channels that got unnecessarily closed and/or unnecessarily rebranded. For example The Hub Network was changed into Discovery Family and customers were shocked to hear that news in 2014-2015. Playhouse Disney to Disney Jr is a lot more impactful because there are so many memories, Playhouse Disney had so much aura back then. Now Disney Jr plays, airs, and greenlights shows that are just like PJ Masks and Paw Patrol. They've already greenlit a new Paw Patrol type show called RoboGogo just 13 hours ago. Does anyone care about Robogogo? I highly doubt it because Bluey brings way more views than those Disney Jr shows
@@TMJRedux1999 I might make a video on Discovery Kids and The Hub Network, talking about the rise and fall of those channels. There is already a Rise and Fall of Boomerang if you haven't checked it out already. My next video will be about the rise and fall of Nicktoons Network. I only mentioned channels that came off the top of my mind especially in TV history and I wanted to talk about them the most.
Even though The Box was way before my time, the closest stations to my area were the ones in Louisville and Indianapolis. I think I picked up the low power Louisville station on Digital by TV DX on antenna a few years ago that used to be affiliated with The Box and MTV2. There were also a station in Milwaukee that had The Box but my parents never used antenna in the 1990s so they never had The Box since they had cable.
My network TV can now be added as its set to shut down. Our my network TV affiliate became a METV affiliate but kept the 2 hr block that still screws up METV signal at varies times. 2025 read will be shutting down making METV a 24 hr station. Another that may be added soon, CBN, a relaunched effort of the original now freeform, is failing miserably.

@BricksVids now that the Arrowverse is gone after 12 long years, it won't be long before it tanks.
THIS TV, Spike TV, The Cool TV, Jetix and PAX TV all went down In Flames 4 of them made a mark on The Entertainment Industry In my opinion
@@Jamal-bl7yh yes indeed. Don't forget that the USA Network became the Law and Order network

I did mention Noggin in my video on the old Nickelodeon, but only briefly.

Ah... The Box was on channel 54 here in Denver Colorado. What a station!

They never had The Box on a low power station in my local area when the network existed.
There are a few defunct channels including girlzChannel, Sega Channel and TCC (The Children’s Channel).
