To be honest, when I first heard it, I was a little disappointed that the original part's vocal had weakened. After gold and silver I go to Lucent. When Lucent became invisible to prepare for a big tail slam attack and I was panicked. Because I don't know what he will do next. And Lucent showed up with 1:23 and I was speechless. It was the best timing and the best experience I've ever had while playing Monster hunter. This theme is gorgeous.
Never have felt more chills when facing off against Lucent! I love the Metal Raths now, and the theme just makes it even better. Listening to this at night… It’s perfecto.
Man, solo-ing the various title update monsters in this arena really makes me feel like I'm actually good at the game lol. The fact that there's no reprieve from combat aside from fainting really puts your positioning and monster knowledge to the test. Or maybe I'm actually terrible and only just starting to get good, who knows lol
I can't believe I actually like the metal raths in a monhun game for once. And lucent is no slouch either. I never played the original game this map was in and even then the sense of peril and mystery and nostalgia I felt was great. I think this is the only map that actually makes me feel like I am the legendary hunter my character's supposed to be.
@@Rathadude except in iceborne you also have to contend with the annoying tenderizing mechanic because their hitzones are just very bad unless you do that and probably spend your temporal mantle on it, the areas you fight them in (except guiding lands) are annoying for a plethora of reasons, rathalos just forces you to spend your whole supply of flash pods as per usual in iceborne but the increased maneuver ability in sunbreak and the counters means you no longer have to twiddle thumbs and wait for it to come down (not inherently a bad thing on iceborne but a factor nonetheless). And there are new moves in SB specially when they're fully charged up, and they're showy and dangerous. Personally I dislike how you don't have to break the heads first before they become weak points in Sunbreak but to each their own. Silverlos in Iceborne was very balanced though in terms of ground to air time and his attacks allowed you to punish him without flash bombs once you really got his fight down.
Its much better than og, both have their own differences but I think I prefer this one. It has an amazing build up to the vocals and the monsters in this arena are much more fun to fight compared to old world. I'm hoping we fight brown/white espinas here in next title update maybe
Imo the vocals were maybe a little weak compared to the original. It also is missing some of the old *punch* to the percussion, which the old theme had. Most themes sure are all supposed to be updated and better, but they all end up lacking something, like the part that is equivalent to 0:57 in the FU tower theme, this bit along most of the song is less intense because there is less focus on the strings, but that is just what i would call the entirety of Rise and sunbreak's BGMs with some exceptions, just less intense and with less focus and emphasis on the instruments that really made the old tracks great, but this is the direction we are heading to, because most people don't seem to care that the older versions composed with way less budget and tools sound more intense and engaging than the newer ones. The new added bits are also somewhat weak and dont really add anything to the original theme, if anything you can clearly hear the part where they went ¨Yeah we need a longer loop because the old is a bit too short for modern games standards¨ As it clashes with the old part of the song pretty heavily.
@@waffentragerauf333 this is a respectable and argument. But ultimately it comes down to preferances and music taste.
