1 piano, 4 pianists, and 8 songs made for a fun unrehearsed performance after a church service in South Georgia. With key changes every verse and a list of songs in front of us, we had a great time trying to make seamless transitions! Pianists are Jonathan Montgomery, Natalie Raynes, Tracy Jones, and Doug Raynes.
At seventeen years old, I still attend a baptist church and sing these old songs. Thank God for Christians who still appreciate the good old fashioned hymns we've been blessed with.
We still sing them at my church and we use a hymnal, not words on a screen.
Loved reading that comment! I hate words on screen!
Emily Jeffords They are for we todds.
Me too

Mine has words on the screen, but only for the people who struggle to see from a distance. :)
As a PK and played for church since age 5, I cut my teeth on all these old hymns. Still play every Sunday at age 67! The songs are 1) Power in the Blood 2) Standing on the Promises 3) When we all get to Heaven 4) Are you Washed in the Blood 5) Since Jesus Came into my Heart 6) Oh I Want to see Him 7) My Sins are Gone and 8) When the Saints go Marching in. Nailed em!! I posted on my FB page and no one has even attempted to name them all.
MaryAnn Tatum I too am a Baptist PK and I remember everyone of these amazing hymns. Love them all...
I grew up in The Salvation Army. My mom played the piano there for many years. We also sang all these. Love the old songs!
Another PK here. I learned them a long time ago. I had to listen a couple of times, before I could name them all. :-)
Thanks for listing them.
I am a PK started playing the piano at 6. All these hymns are very familiar to me. I am now 64 and can still play them all. Yes, and I could name them too. Not hard to do when this is what we were raised on! Thanks for the reminders of days gone by.
When I get sad this is what I'll watch because it brightens my soul
Love people being excited about serving our Lord! More PLEASE!
WOW!!! You have some talented pianists in South Georgia!! :)
Amen!!!❤
This video never gets old! I went into my RUclips settings.... said I’ve viewed the full video 147 times! Love it Tracy, Pastor Doug, Jonathan and Natalie! Thanks for filming Emily!
As a pianist, I can say, WHAT GREAT FUN!! that had to be🎶 It was sure a lot of fun to watch and listen to! Thank you guys for your talents and praise to Him. 🙏🏻✝️🌈. ❤️ from VA
Y'all ROCK! That is great...all hymns I dearly love and grew up singing. I pine for the old days when hymns were sung in church. Please do some more of these.....they really lift my spirits.
Amen to your note. I long to find a church that sings hymns. The mean somethings they say something that stirs the soul. In troubled times like now more then ever we need the words instilled in our memories. Right now "IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL" THANK GOD FOR BILL AND GLORIA GAITHER AND HOMECOMING FRIENDS. WE NEED TO RETURN TO THE HYMNS SO THE YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE SOMETHING TO SING WHEN THEY ARE TROUBLED
Me too! Now one hymn at the beginning and that's it for a lot of churches nowadays. The newer music seems to mean more to the youth, though.
I have played this dozens of times. I love it. Thank you. It so lifts my spirits. I have watched you so many times and some day hope to meet you all but probably that will be in Heaven. Sue Garcia. Norwich, UK
As many have already said, "MORE PLEASE!!" This is fantastic and something you don't hear much in the churches today! PTL there's still people that know these great hymns, the one thing I miss in church today! Thanks for sharing your great God-given talents!
I started to learn these songs when I was a baby before a year! Mom and dad were starting a farm and two ladies who were leading a new little country church came a second time and invited us. Mom told us that was why my family went! Never stopped!
Wow! Praise God. Just the "joy of the Lord" I needed to start my day. Thank you.
Music I was brought up listening to 60 years ago thanks for the memories
Phew ... that’s amazing ..... the whole gospel hymns in under 5 min 😊
This is all the more amazing when it appears the younger man rarely uses his left thumb.
It's a beautiful song. And how you guys play it is gorgeous
I'm in love with Tracy...her hands play just like my mother...
I absolutely enjoy listening to all of you play as I work on my college homework and when I come home from working 2 jobs in the healthcare field. This helps me relax and get my self together with God for another day of working as a CNA in a Nursing home especially during this lock down time due to COVID 19. May God continue blessing you and again thank you for all you do.
Unrehearsed? AMAZING!
When you are good you are really a blessing. But you guys are good all the time
This makes me so happy! Please do more! Great job!
Every time I watch this it makes my heart happy and blesses my life.👏👏❤🙏
I had a few tears listening to this video, remembering my deceased father, and how he loved Southern Gospel quartets and music... A beautiful performance and so uniquely talented to do all of this...
Still watching it in September 2020!!
WHAT FUN. Sounds like the family I grew up in. ALBERTI (of the Raymond and Lily Salisbury family, Windsor, New York.) Started playing at age 2 years 10 months and sister Beth and I stood on the altar and sang duets in harmony at 2 and 3. Music is such a wonderful trip and holds families together. I taught piano for 50 years...church musician 14 years...played 200 shows with the NYC Rockettes...played for two presidents and other successes and hopefuls, including Gerald Ford, Bush, Gephardt, Ashcroft, etc. And yes! I knew every one of those songs. Again - WHAT FUN.
1. There’s power in the blood
2. Standing on the promises
3. When we all get to heaven!!(one of my favorites)
4. Are you washed in the blood
5. Possibly I’ll fly away I can’t tell..
6. Oh I want to see him!
7. My sins are gone
8. When the saints go marching in
I’m learning to play piano and hoping to be a church pianist one day! Y’all are so talented like come on down and visit our church sometime! Lol love these old hymns! Keep it up.
WAIT FIVE IS SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART!! I rewatched and realized lol
Talented. Enjoyed hearing y'all. Produce some more please. God Bless.
This is just like the Revival Services we went to when I was a kid!! LOVE IT!!
Such ease of playing!! Marvelous indeed.....i'd like to see two grands 🎹side by side🎹with this same outcome!!🎼👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
That was so enjoyable, thank you for sharing !!
This is just wonderful. Exactly what I need on this dreary day in Southern MN! Thanks!
I could have listened to more of this. It was fun, creative and definitely something I would love to have been part of. I knew every song. Thanks for sharing. It was a blast listening to the talented players.
Enjoyed... my church still enjoys our congressional hymns
Ivebeen so depressed lately, this was just what i needed to bring a smile to my face....thank you!!!!
So proud of these Christian brothers and sisters. I am personally acquainted with several of the pianists ...and what makes the music such a tremendous blessing is knowing the dedicated, consecrated lives they live for our Lord and Savior! The Lord was honored with the old hymns of the faith. Thank you all!--Pastor Steven Griffith
That gives a whole new idea to the concept of a duet!
Pray for my friend who fell to have a speedy recovery
My! My! My! I love this...it's my first time seeing this...I'm perplexed. God bless you.
Natalie, I know that you and your dad play professionally, but the other man and woman--WOW! They are so GOOD! Do they play professionally, too? They certainly should! Thanks again, for sharing all these talents
Epic, awesome, amazing....these over-used words don't BEGIN to describe how truly wonderful this is! These are the hymns I grew up with, and have played on the piano and/or organ many times. I play "Evangelistic Style" piano and love it...love to hear others play that style...but this REALLY takes the cake.
Hahahaha Halleluyah! It is so FUNtastic! Don't think any church would be there without music. Some times the bass player rather got lost. Hahahahah. Thank you and GOD bless you!
I would love to meet Natalie! I love her piano playing. She reminds me of my piano teacher. My parents love her too.
Could listen to this all day. WONDERFUL !
How fun! All the old time favorite hymns and choruses! = )
So beautiful! Thank you for keeping these precious songs alive! I grew up on them and they still bring joy to my soul. I wish my dear mama could have heard this!! God bless. 🙏❤️
The fun part was apparent and contagious - it's still fun, even removed in distance and time from the event. (New Brunswick, Canada) But more than fun, it's a blessing to see and hear. Kinda scary to think how good it would be if you were to rehearse - but I don't know how you could improve it. Love it. Thank you. Lord bless you. (Or "y'all", if you prefer.)
😁 Yep, this is the South! We say "y'all".
I have watched both this one and the reunion and y'all have blessed me tremendously. I have to say, and this may sound a little strange, I am particularly blessed and encouraged when Jonathan makes a mistake. I was so hard on myself years ago that I just quit trying to play. There was just something about his playing that encouraged me to try again to the point that I have a new digital piano being delivered tomorrow. I am really going to stay with it this time even if it's just to learn how to play some hymns. I'd be content with that.
I just saw this on a Friend's Page and you are all Very Talented Pianists. Praise God for you Wonderful Talents!
This was so fun! You guys did a great job! Took me back 30 years!
Exciting,Good clean fun!!
Brethern in unity full of the oil of Joy!!Psalms133
Such warm and fond memories; as if peering longingly through a tunnel to a distant time past before the war, knowing that world no longer exists and you can never go back.
Wonnerful, wonnerful!
This is seriously awesome! Praise God that it is indeed possible to praise Him and have fun! 😁
This is still just jaw-dropping to me. Too bad I can only "like" it once. Such FUN! Well done, all.
Never seen anything like this,remarcable!
Wow. great work guys. You reminded me of those hymns we used to sing in church. As a pianist, I can only say bravo.
Back again to be blessed ✝️ listening to this is my daily burst of blessings 💕✝️
Excellent video! More please! I grew up singing these wonderful 'old hymns' in our little country church ... More videos please .... as each song started being played, my brain 'think - sang' along ... :-)
This was awesome! The music was beautiful and it looked like so much fun to play.
Absolutely awesome! Toe tappin' and hand raisin' for sure!
Thank you SO much for this video! It's a great blessing!
Ps reading comments I kinda chuckle I'm not young but still just 40 and I grew up in a very old fashioned church, we still sings old hymns with just the assistance of a piano and organ, reminds you kinda of little house on the prairie with a congregation under 50 and a minister who's been there over 60 years and is in his late 90s and still sharp as nails...only problem for me I have trouble adjusting to modern churches now since this has been what I've been use to since a kid. And I have to because very soon I am gonna have to find a new family in the church and I know no church operates or hasn't in I'm sure decades like Lowellville Christian church...I do enjoy some modern Christian music but the old hymns are like part of my soul.
This was great, a lot of coordination there. Thank you for sharing.
Marvellous
We love the Raynes family! Also love this video.
This is AWESOME! More please!
I've come back to this video several times!! absoultely love it!!!
Great to watch, again and again.🎉
I'm a PK too, as I see in several comments. I cannot read music but play by ear and these were some great old-time songs. I have played the piano/organ with these tunes many, many times. This was VERY upbeat. THANK YOU, more...
What does "PK" stand for?
This is outstanding, God has really blessed all of you with such a Great talent.. MORE PLEASE!!!
How fun!! I really enjoyed listening and watching you all play this! :)
Finally some video worth watching, Praise the Lord! That's better than great.
Just found this April 26, 2022. Thank you all very much for sharing your awesome talent in praising our Lord Jesus Christ with all these beautiful old hymns that we sing in my church up here in Woburn, Massachusetts. Prayers for all of you and your families. Love in Christ, Janet
A friend shared this on my FB PM when I posted a RUclips on Instrumental Hymns on my wall, commenting that as a Baby Boomer, I miss hearing and singing hymns in church. I SSSSOOOOO loved this! My first time to see/hear a "revolving piano duet." Incredible talent and passion for music and for the Lord. More of these, please!
'Will challenge my pianist friends to try doing this here in the Philippines. I would if I could, but am quite rusty on the piano from years of lack of practice. Plus the fact that one of our typhoons sunk my antique piano. But now I'm inspired to start playing again, even if it's just on a keyboard (which I hate and don't know how to use...haha.)
Again, thanks and more power!
As a child would say, Do that Again! Love hearing fast paced gospel music on the piano! I'll probably listen to this a hundred times!!
Me, too! Hi from Peterborough, ON, Canada!
Oh what fun this is to watch! Great job by all!
That is EPIC! That's one of the coolest sounding pieces I've ever heard. Well done!
This is awesome. I just subscribed. I hope there's more to come.
A year later and I’m still listening💕I just am so blessed🥰wonderful memories ✝️♥️
I'm not tired of watching your video. I like it the most. 😄👍👍👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
I play the piano in church but I enjoy it the most in nursing home I wish I could have been there with these people I could have jumped right in and play
You guys did wonderful, just amazing.
Wonderful. Wish I could play like that. Thank you for this .
I've been playing in the same church for 48+ years. This is amazing, exciting, and very uplifting too.
I love it! We sing these still. :)
This is absolutely insane - thank you for sharing this! I'm smiling like an absolute idiot watching this!
Y’all and the Ruppe Sisters are the absolute best! So glad I found your channel, I’ve been watching in amazement all night. God is good!!
Loved it great job
Thank you for giving us so much joy through music blessings
You guys are sooo talented!! Keep up the good work and keep bringing joy to people with music.
My grandfather used to play these hymns and more as medleys all the time. He has been gone 13 years now. I thought no one played like that anymore, so it was such a treat to hear you young people playing them really well! Oh, I wish we could still sing these songs in church!
So cool!!
Reminds me of being at the AR state music competitions our church used to be invited too as a child.
Loved it! Thank you so much! God bless you for amazing talents!
Love, Love LOVE IT! I hear it just about every day! Wish you would do quite a few more of these! Please? THANKS!
Great piano playing!!
Enjoying this so much. I know most if not all the words to those dear old hymns. Thank you for sharing the blessings!
That was so good. I’m so jealous.
