@@thedaily30Yes, they would take it down, but Nintendo actually could make a SM64 remake! They have made a Super Mario RPG remake, Paper Mario TTYD remake and a Mario vs. Donkey Kong remake, so it's a little more likely that we could get it.
Not me, and I say that as a self-criticism. I distinctly remember thinking they abandoned a good art style for technology that wasn't ready yet in the transition from 2D pixel art to low-poly 3D. I appreciate the aesthetic more now as an adult than I did as a kid. I was not impressed at the time. I saw the renders used in advertising and compared it to the actual game graphics and basically thought "they jumped on this trend too soon just to compete with Sony, because this looks like crap". I also thought taking Mario out of the side scrolling format was a betrayal of what made Mario great in the first place. I didn't even want an N64. I was a stupid child. I have since played Super Mario 64 more times than I can count, just as a go-to stimming game. It's an all-time classic.

I love the courtyard in the back having access to leave it and circle back to the front of the castle. A simple but effective change for making the castle more explorable.
I fully agree. This is imo the best castle I've ever seen in any project. I actually wanted to model it exactly like this and perhaps to extend the fields further than this one. It would be so cool if you could take this concept and merge it with what we saw in Princess Peach's Raceway from Mario Kart 64. I only watching the 1:14 footage. What made Mario 64 magical was the idea not the graphics. There was a vibe on the 90’s. Today that crap is gone. The need for attention and perfection is not that vibe. The purpose of a video game is fantasy. No way in hell about graphics. If I want graphics I’ll watch the exorcist.
