@Hugh G. Fallacy well I didn't say it would be a smart deal, I just said it would be the best deal for Clowny. I wouldn't pay him too 10 money at his position.
He's really good at driving a QB's helmet into the turf when said QB is already going down from being tackled. Other than that, didn't he have only 3 sacks last season? And he wants $20m/yr?

@Marie Madison respectively check his stats on NFL.com, ESPN.com, etc... his career high for a season is 9 sacks. He only have 32bcareer sacks since entering the NFL in 2014.
It's funny because last year when he was traded to Seattle, he said in a press conference that God wanted him there. Now he's looking for crazy money for solid production. Not only that, he picks up a lot of offsides penalties.
The "real" reason is because he takes plays off. Also that was one of the concerns when he was drafted. Also saying the Seahawks can't win when they have Russell Wilson is just a slap in the face. Wilson has winning records and the o-Line is ranked 28th and Dline was ranked 32nd. Come on bro...
@@robertocapuano8690 Yeah! Those two with the young Landry and Simmons in the middle. It's going to be like the glory days of Kearse, Carter and Haynesworth. Solid defense and running game. That's Titans football!

I have an idea for the seahawks. jamal adams is talented as both a cover man and a blitzer so why dont they do an option play with two safeties. he will be pressing a te or a wr anywhere within the numbers. he can make a decision to blitz or stay in coverage. if he blitzes, the other safety will cover his area as well as his own. Quandre diggs is fast so he can cover a larger area. in the mean while, offenses have to worry about whether jamal adams will blitz or not, while jamal can blitz or cover based on what his instinctive read is. i call it... The Seahawks have a couple of really good options at pass-rushing an OLB from DE. Shaquem Griffin has cornerback speed flying off the edge and Taylor is a monster.
His best option is to sign another 1 year deal with Seattle. He knows their schemes and it gives him the best chance of him having a career year to cash in next year. Especially with all the COVID interruptions. Having no pre-season to get a chance to put to practice with new team mates against another team along with everything else that goes with it.
He played for my Texans and when on the field he was a beast...did I mention when on the field? Hardly any fans were sad to see him go. Really good player, but not a DeAndre Hopkins type player who's trade had the whole city up in arms.
Hot take: No one signs Clowney until a few week before the season, when the Bears sign him for cheap (kinda like Cam) for a “prove it” deal. The the bears pass rush, consisting of Jadeveon Clowney Robert Quinn Akheim Hicks and Khalil Mack, dominate the NFC North and lead the bears to a 60+ sack season and an 11-5 record.
He'll get signed on a 1 year deal around $10mil. Hoping my Cowboys. Hoping he's motivated, has a career year, and signs a big contract elsewhere in 2021, and Dallas gets a 3rd round comp pick.
I think the longer Clowney waits the more it hurts him. The closer we get to the season, the closer teams are to having completed their roster and using their cap space. Teams feel that they shouldn't have to pay 20 million for a few sacks from a guy who is likely to get hurt and miss time yet again. He hasn't shown any consistency. Although I will admit he is a very talented athlete and can be VERY disruptive at times. This coming from a die hard seahawks fan.

Clowney had his best year when Vrabel was D coordinator on the Texans. That is why Titans want him. Vrabel knows how to use him correctly and get the most out of him. However Jrob is simply not going to overpay for him.
The production is not there for the kind of money he is asking. He had shown glimpses of the kind of game wrecker he could be, but he is inconsistent at best.
My Las Vegas Raiders should drop the hammer and sign Clowney. We need to make up for trading Mack to the Bears. I say 4 years 80 million for Clowney. We need to improve our defense if we are ever going to have a shot beating the Chiefs.
This is a guy that defensive coordinators plan their game around. He is the defensive player that will always get the most attention. That has hampered his sack total. He gets all the attention on every snap. He needs a very good guy on the other side to alleviate that. Then you will see his sack numbers become more true to the player he is.
