What I am finding "wild" in this day when it comes to Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray is how it's difficult to date movies by looking at them. The quality of the image is outstanding.
@@delcrowe9712 yeah, I knew his dad was a mega famous boxer....even accidently killed a guy in the ring. Just curious....the story line here. What would be the sheriff's motivation for being so hostile. The kids didn't look like beat-nics, civil rights workers or trouble makers. I haven't seen this film in years. Or....was the film just trying to convey the dangerous under-current of these small towns. What do you think?
@@inkey2 , in the movie, some criminals break into the sheriff's house and kill and rape his wife. He mistakes an innocent trio of young people passing through as the culprits. He seeks his revenge on them.
Since his Dad was once Heavy Weight Champion of the world and actually killed a man in the ring, I wouldn't mess around with Max Baer Jr. I always thought he was imposing as Jethro in spite of his goofy demeanor. It just goes to show how great actors are.
It would have been hilarious if when Max looked at the guys license he would have said "Your name is Julie Andrews huh? Well I used to know another fella named Julie Andrews."
I heard Tarantino mentioned it in his book which is why I'm here. Out of all Tarantinos alleged inspirations this film and Crazy Larry Dirty Mary are the biggest in my eyes.
Just watch the movie Nightmare in Badham County for what could have happened if the sheriff were truly malevolent and merciless towards vagrants, drifters, hobos, hippies, yippies, druggies, bums, winos, punk rockers and just plain harmless outsiders passing through. Or, at least what he perceived to be those types of people.
As always, another youtube idiot runs off at the mouth. Most states require that you show ID to law enforcement under any reasonable suspicion of unlawful activity.
Fair? Wants i.D. they had broken down and wants to know if they have money? I'd be arrested cause I can't keep my mouth shut when I feel like I'm bullied. Back in those days they'd probably give me a beating especially down south.

Max Baer directed, produced and paid for this entire movie. Really good movie.
It stopped his 3 year run of unemployment and got his ass out of hock, too.
Richard Compton directed the movie.
I never realized just how physically huge Max Bayer Jr was.
His father was a professional champion heavyweight boxer. He inherited his size.

Sad story about his father.
OMG! he is so fine!
looks like it was shot yesterday, well done on the upload
The Sound Track is Great!
One of my favorite films.
Looks like a 2014 movie or newer, great quality.
It seems crazy to see “Jethro” as a law enforcement officer after seeing the buffoon that he portrayed on the Beverly Hillbillies
He really wanted to be a double naught spy
It wasn't believable. Not sure if it was because he's type cast as Jethro, or maybe he's not a good actor
Max Baer Jr. (Jethro) produced this movie.

I just recently saw this on “tubi TV” and I can vouch this is a badass fucking movie. Very Peckinpah/Tarantino.
I heard Tarantino mentioned it in his book which is why I'm here. Out of all Tarantinos alleged inspirations this film and Crazy Larry Dirty Mary are the biggest in my eyes.
I miss these earlier eras when a film took it’s time & had some room to breath vs the constant thrill ride model today.
Seems ole Max Baer Jr. was underrated.
Very underrated...
Max Baer, Jr., oozing menace.
I just watched this Movie! Cult Classic!
This happened to me. Car broke down at a gas station. A cop showed up and asked me questions and for I.D. He didn't say anything about $10 though.
at some point in USA history they outlawed vagrancy laws
@GENERAL DISARRAY'S BOSS 83 No, you're very confused. You meant to say "fuck BLM and ANTIFA"

Max Baer was financially stable after this movie.. GOOD FOR HIM..🇺🇲
so............luke shot pete ? why ?
Poisoned by his crazy father!
Luke thought they killed his mother. At the end it's clarified he was insane.
Max Baer and uncle Jed both 6' 4"
Good ol Jethro. He got this picture made and made a ton of money on it. Not so dumb after all.
Looks like Max Baer
It is
It's Jethro
Max Baer Jr
"Max Baer,Jr. was trying to
shake free of his Jethro image."-😆🌐🌍🌎🌏🌐..
You don't have to show and ID unless you are under arrest or being served a ticket.
I don't think "Jetrho " would have liked that...he wouldn't have liked that at all ...
As always, another youtube idiot runs off at the mouth. Most states require that you show ID to law enforcement under any reasonable suspicion of unlawful activity.
Not back in them days
Usually, you have to do whatever the cop orders you to do. He has the gun. His gun overrules the law in such situations.
I saw this movie at theater when it came out. I had no business watching it. It has stuck with me all these
Perfect stereotype of a southern sheriff.
I did not like this clip. It's hard to separate the character of Jethro from Max Bair Jr. That's just the way it is. And, I hate seeing Jethro mean!
I thought he was very fair with them.
Fair? Wants i.D. they had broken down and wants to know if they have money? I'd be arrested cause I can't keep my mouth shut when I feel like I'm bullied. Back in those days they'd probably give me a beating especially down south.
Double naught spy...
With the two-way mirror and the shoe-knife!
That sheriff is funny
Jethro !!!!
Civil forfeiture even back then.
