@@patrickl671 looking at what he reportedly said to the guy he assaulted I feel like this role might be screwing him up, it's not the first time an actor has gotten too into a role and it's poorly affected them. Also he isn't actually going to prison, he has a suspended sentence, he will only serve the 12 months if he commits another crime within the next 2 years

Supersonic seems like a really good and honorable person. Troubled, human past, but recovery gave him humility and put him in the sort of mindset you'd want from more superheroes in this world. No way he survives the season.

The first 3 eps have been amazing! I almost died after watching the “Ant Man” scene in first episode. Homelander continues to be one of my favorite onscreen villains, so glad it’s back! Great reaction!

Only fair we get the Avengers in the show since the Seven are basically Justice League.
You know what’s messed up with that suicidal girl scene? It’s kind of a mirror to one of the best Superman moments in comics where he talks a girl down off a ledge. In this world, Homelander makes her jump.
Yes it is a brilliant way of showing how Homelander is the anti-superman. Superman lovingly talked town the girl while Homelander pushes this girl off the roof just because he is angry.

It took me 28 minutes to realize the significance of the "Dredd" baseball cap during the Karl Urban scenes. lol
"If you know, you know" - that scene was so disgusting yet funny. Only The Boys could get away with it.
The parallels between Homelander forcing that girl to kill herself and Superman talking down a girl from killing herself came to mind immediately during that scene.

Absolutely blistering first three episodes. I think it's incredible how they keep upping the stakes with Homelander.
Looks like the biggest shock reveal didn't make the reaction cut. That Teddy Stillwell, Madelyn Stillwell baby is a supe and able to teleport. Meaning that when Butcher tried to blow them up it was probably him teleporting himself to that front yard blocks away rather than Homelander saving him.
i didn’t catch that when i first watch it he probably didn’t either it’s a quick line but it is an interesting reveal

The actor playing Ryan is terrific. I usually can’t stand child actors but he is great. The scene of him playing connect 4 with Kimiko and talking about how scared he is of his powers is so good.

Did anyone else feel weirdly bad for the octopus? I mean, if we're implying that they really are sentient, that was a cruel fate (though I won't dare say it was the cruelest fate of a character on the show, I know better than that).
Anthony Starr continues to have the perfect face for, "I'm gonna peel your skin off and wear it as pants".
That part about the CIA traficking, dealing drugs and targeting minorities is actually true.

In episode 2 when Hughie goes to visit the orphanage the boy who is glitching and teleporting is Madeline Stillwell's son Teddy. He was a supe all along

Surely Victoria Neuman is a match for Homelander and possibly part of the reason Stan Edgar forged a relationship with her. She has killed at least two other Supes. Homelander maybe too powerful but who knows.
she wouldnt even cause him pain. he's 'the homelander' and is in essence, infinitely powerful apart from his son who is a littler more infinitely powerful. The concept of this character (and superman) is that strength durability etc are all unending for these characters. But sometimes they can be killed by special weapons like kryptonite and maybe this weapon they're searching for.
@@simonsmasher1771 In the comics, maybe, but this is the tv series, same rules don't apply. They are setting it up that Homelander will be merked by someone, either Soldier Boy, who has different powers in the show, a V24-ed Butcher or maybe Ryan, who made short work of Stormfront. Neuman is a possibility, or at least Edgar thinks so. In the comics Black Noir, a Homelander clone, killed him, so he is not unbeatable. Stan Lee said, any character is beatable, it depends on the writer. These are characters, anything can happen, all depends on what direction they want to take the show.

This is a good substitute for Better Call Saul during its hiatus, especially for fans of Giancarlo Esposito playing imposing businessmen who show little outward emotion.

Same. Though I do think that she IS actually dead, but vought has a plan or does plan to try and revive her. They can create literal superheroes, there's even one supe with regenerative powers like wolverine getting paid by people who take out their frustration on them or gets paid to test experimental medication all while healing like it never happened. On top of the fact of stormfront's importance to the company as being the wife of Fredrick Vought himself, I'm sure the company would try everything in their power to keep her alive.

Homelander has reached the point Vought tried to avoid. "They can tank my numbers. They can reveal that I'm a despicable, murderous monster. But they can't actually *stop* me . . . ".
I think out of the first three season 3 episodes. The second is my favorite. Mainly cuz of Starr’s performance
It occurred to me why Stan Edgar is so calm with the whole Homelander situation. He knows he is unstable and can snap at any moment. However, he thinks that Neumann can just pop his head off (which is one of the many reasons he wants to keep her powers a secret) whenever he snaps. However, she will either be killed before that or her powers won't work on him and Homelander goes berserk on the world. I bet, Homelander will snap in the last episode of this season and that will be the cliffhanger.
I don't think he believes that. I think if he truly thought she was capable of that he would have orchestrated something to have her attempt it when Homelander started to step out of line. Also, due to events in the next episode, it seems he really does believe he is just the smartest man in the room.
@@fredwin Yeah, I agree. The latest episode showed that she isn't supposed to be his secret weapon against Homelander. Taking into account how scared she is of Homelader, it seems like she isn't even sure if her powers can kill Homelander.
@@SecondWindd We have to assume he still has a card to play though, right? It really doesn't fit his character to antagonize Honelander so bad. If Nadia didn't make a deal with Homelander to not kill Edgar, I also have to believe Homelander must think Edgar has something up his sleeve, because why not kill him at that point?
@@fredwin Well, I had a theory that Edgar was Frederick Vought in Season 2, lol. I thought he had powers and the ability to shapeshift which would explain why he was promoting Stormfront even though he was black. That theory fell apart fast, haha.
His character so far is actually true to the comics. In the comics, Edgar doesn't have powers and has zero fear or respect for Homelander. Homelander doesn't want to kill him now because he wants to break Edgar or get satisfaction from Edgar fearing him. The second, Homelander senses fear in Edgar, Edgar is a dead man (assuming he doesn't have any powers that he may have kept a secret). I have a feeling that he knew what happened to Soldier Boy (because he was there when Soldier Boy was taken) and he may be cooperating with the Russians on turning Soldier Boy into a weapon. I also have a theory that he was somehow responsible for Black Noir's burns because Black Noir didn't want to wear the mask. Solder Boy's power seems to be the ability to remove the superpowers of Supes, so he could stop Homelander and Edgar may be in on the whole thing. But hey, I could be wrong about that as well, haha. Guess, we will have to wait and see.
@@SecondWindd Nah, it's definitely very convenient they were all in Nicaragua and we don't see what happened and how he got out. Could be he took them there to get some "combat" experience, aka, have them taken out by the Russians.

In the comics Stormfront was a man who got Queen Maeve pregnant. Mallory was also a dude. Little Nina was about 2 feet tall and addicted to dildoing herself. Sometimes I get confused when they swap out comic characters with new tv versions, makes me forget what I'm watching. I hope the Russian Love Sausage is still the gasoline drinking dude from the comics, I liked him.
i still feel bad for the deep, yeah he kinda brought it on himself for what he did but hes constantly been used since even now that hes managed to get out of the cult and finally thought he could be something it seems even his wife was never actually on his side and homelander is just using him to punish starlight as well as torture him at the same time, i kinda hope he goes against homelander as well

Never understood why they changed Greg Mallory (an English male) to Grace Mallory (a yank female). I got a little confused over why they changed Hughie from Scottish to American but they completely changed the character of Mallory.

I'm an idiot who just put this together but the look Butcher has when he gets off the phone (I think) is because Hughie is the voice of his brother and whilst his brother in his dream was telling him not to, Hughie just said they were going to have to do it "his" way, which in Butcher's mind superseded the voice of his brother from his dream.
