that monolgue with butcher and homelander was probably his inner darker thoughts manifesting as the one other being he hates homelander so basically a hallucination there's hints in this episode and next but what the monolgue that they had is basically everyone will die the day this two decide to fight and when everyone and everything is destroyed houghie the boys and vought and the public masses when the world is left in a fiery pit where shock and awe are at play and there's blood and bone everywhere this two will fight to death because they need to and have to until only one survives and inherits what's left of the wreckage of the world the only sad part is that everyone close to butcher and homelander will be in the blast radius when they snap because they really showed lots of moments bewteen this two where they are really trying to hold themselves together restraining themselves butcher in part is trying to do it for the promise that he made but that doesn't change the fact that he's really retraining himself like a rabid dog as well as homelander he can't live without the love of the public eye and if that is gone well just as butcher they just need an excuse just a moment to slip up and let loose on the world

And to top it off they built a full on an atomically correct realistic gigantic urethra set is sooooo funny!!! GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
