Antony Starr is one of my favourite actors. He did another crazy amazing, not to mention gorey and action packed show called Banshee. Another binge worthy show you guys should definitely check out!
Remember what A-Train said last season. What happened to Robyn was an accident. He didn't actually mean to hurt her. But they specifically targeted and blackmailed Popclaw. No accident there.
Also, yeah, her 'popping' powers are sight based. She has to be able to see who or what she's popping. That's why the guy covered her eyes.

This episode was just recently nominated for a Visual Effects Society Award in the category Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal episode. Yep, the first awards nomination involving a giant fake penis. They are filming Season 4 right now. So it'll probably come out late summer. We will more than likely get Season 1 of the spin off show, Gen V before that
