Just like that MJ's return became secondary after that horrible day on 9/11

I remember the morning of 9/11/01, I was in first grade and that very morning (before the attacks started) my mom told me that MJ was returning to basketball. I was extremely excited since I was just getting into basketball and wanted a chance to see the GOAT play. Later that morning, that excitement was drained out of me and filled with fear as I had no clue what was going to happen throughout the course of that day when the attacks started.

I just realized Jordan's first game back was against the 76ers and his last game ever was also against the 76ers

This kind of respect is what all respectable/honorable firemen, police officers, paramedics, doctors, nurses, soldiers, teachers, etc deserve on a regular basis. ❤️🇺🇸✝️

SuperAceMan55 HD - Iverson was hurt and didn't even dress which was a big disappointment to DC fans. He played at G'town and was always a fan favorite when he came to DC. This happened a lot during his career. But this was a fantastic night regardless. This gave me chills announcing these heroes.

Kevin Heilbronner but speaking of Georgetown, but still, at least both fellow Georgetown alumni both “Dikembe Mutombo”, and “Jahidi White” also did play that night, and that year in 2001.

What? What's wrong with caring about China? China is the most visited country in the world. Many Americans, Ukrainians, and British people are living in China. China helped the US a lot during World War 2, the Covid epidemic, and the 9/11 event

Why the hell was the NBA starting in early September?? Hasnt it always started in late October/Early November? And is this actually on 9/11 and they still played a game??

    • @kevinheilbronner1437

Paul, the game was in mid to late-October, the Wizards’ home opener. They paid tribute to 9/11 first-responders. This was about 5-6 weeks after 9/11. This took a long time to organize as well.
