    Just starting my June patchwork piece! I started to crochet granny squares using your tutorial, which is great! Making a blanket for my daughter and son-in-laws anniversary in October. Figured I would take a granny square break lol. Have a good week! 😻🧶

    Hi this is the first time I have watched your channel and I love it so easy to follow, I might be jumping ahead of myself but I would like to make a bigger blanket in your pattern, so how would I carry on doing the pattern in a bigger project, where would I join my next square to carry on doing this, help me Jayda, I love this pattern. English Rose.xx

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  2 года назад

      Hi Rosemary, if you only want to upsize this particular square (and not have it work alongside any of the other in this Patchwork Calendar Blanket series) you have a couple of options:
      1. use a larger hook and thicker yarn OR 2 strands of yarn together
      2. This pattern is based on a factor of 3, and any changing of the pattern would have to be based on this multiple 😊

      HI Kelli, we are so happy to know you've found our tutorials helpful :) All of the cute scissors we use are embroidery scissors. I love them because they're small, have a sharp pointed end and are .... adorable! They've all come from fabric stores, and are usually sitting on display on the check out counter :)

    • @JaydaInStitches

      Hi Ailyn, Yes you can! Using a single strand of thread and it will be quite small or you can use several strands of thread held together :)

    Jayda i like to know if you can make a blanket with this block pattern if so how many blocks i need for a baby blanket? i love your channel

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  4 года назад

      Hi Donna, totally! You can make them with or without the border (if you're using all the same patchwork square pattern, AND the same colourway, then you don't necessarily need to include the unifying border) and sew or crochet them all together. Baby blankets vary in size, but each of these squares is nearly 12 inches, so knowing that you can decide how big you want the blanket and then figure out how many squares you need :) We did a video on the math of this a while back, you might find it helpful here: ruclips.net/video/_CpOr3HHUEI/видео.html When deciding how big to make your baby blanket, decide what it's purpose is: Crib, Car Seat, Play Mat, Snuggle Size, preemie, toddler, etc. :)

    Question do you still all the squares together when you’re done because I’m thinking about maybe making this

    • @thevampirelock
      @thevampirelock 4 года назад +1

      I believe when you finish all 12, they will be stitched together to make a blanket. Or you could make a whole afghan of just this pattern if you choose to.

    Love your videos! If we wanted to make this square a blanket how would you go about doing it? Tia.

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  4 года назад +1

      Hi Janice, there are a few things you can do: 1. make squares all in the same colour pattern, leave off the border and then arrange the squares in the pattern sequence that you want and whip stitch them all together. 2. If you draw out and colour in a much larger graph indicating where each of the squares would go and what direction they'll point, you can start with one square, leave off the border, and then start building the next square directly onto the first - no sewing! 3. you can use this square pattern and make them all a bunch of colours, but include the border on each square (keep it the same colour) and then whip stitch them all together, the border unifies the blanket and each of the squares is unique :)
