Kakariko Village is one of the few areas in gaming that you have to set aside some time to enjoy. Maybe even go to a nice park and just think about Kakariko Village and what it meant -- to the game OoT, to gaming as a whole, probably more. It's such a beautifully constructed part of the game. On one level, it's a seemingly peaceful village on the surface when you first arrive. With that serene yet somber music kicks in, basically sounds like the epitome of a quaint, small, village. On another level, it's roots and history are far more grotesque than can be talked about without sounding completely insane. What if one villager were to speak the truth to say, one of those carpenters on that construction job? About the underground torture chamber with that abomination that summons hands to grab its victims Beneath the Well? Or that there lies a another unspeakable, haunted, shadowy abomination with dismembered hands in a sealed away Temple/Tomb; empowered by an evil Gerudo man who betrayed the King of Hyrule seven years ago, and in turn, gained access to a third of the power that was bestowed upon the world by the Goddesses themselves? Tough pill to swallow for anybody that lives there
