    I literally just had one crawl in my ear 3hrs into my sleep last night. I’ve just got off a ear infection and thought the puss was building back up but as soon as I was feeling sharp pain, I knew something was in there. I took my finger to wiggle out my ear like was was stuck in there then next thing you know a big ass earwig fell out on to my arm. I immediately knew what it was. Being disgusted is and understatement. I sat up for the rest of the night. I also have pest control come spray the house every 3 months and there haven’t been any changes to the problem. Officially ready to take matters to my own hands.

Grabbed an empty med bottle and now it's sitting on the kitchen counter for my husband to see it. I've had several invade my personal space...why? Brown reclus spiders are our biggest problem...it's a southern thing.

    They are nocturnal and they’re drawn to light at night time for the heat source. Which is also why you might find them in your bed they go towards heat sources. if you have a lit up front porch at night time it will draw them in

    Midwest has some insane earwigs, i took a nap for maybe 3 or 4 hours and live in a room in a garage, they come in through the garage door area and in through the door to the room. I killed maybe 50 hanging out in an hour on my carpet. Sprayed some basil and lemongrass oil near the doors and windows, but damn they are thick in northern IL, essential oils are unfortunately expensive too. The garage isn't dirty or gross either... they just want out of the heat and into the cool room :( I have never dealt with this many before. I have a cat so I need to make sure nothing that will get her sick is an option.

      They got worse after mulch was applied against the house. Chris showed NIBAN in another video. I spooned it all around the outside walks of the house. I put down diatomaceous earth,as well, esp where the rain doesn't usually get close.
      This morning ing, I saw a baby earwig climbing up the curtain next to my front door. The carpet smells like mint from another product I used for ants.
      I might have to just burn the place down and start over.

    Ok,now i feel sick. I get them inside my storm door,the type with a screen/ window inside. Worse when it gets warmer and humid. Maybe the mulch near the door attracts. They have crawled out of books.
    They hang out with slugs. Niban here I come.
    Update:
    NIBAN WORKED! I sprinkled it LIBERALLY on the mulched bed nearest the front door and,despite humidity and rain,no more earwigs.
    The area around my door, inside and out, does still smell minty from the mint scented pest control stuff I got from Amazon. I could do without that,especially since I am unsure it treated earwigs. It did eradicate tiny ants inside.

    I live in a house that was made by a relative. we moved in here last summer right after their last year earwig issue. it gets very humid here and my bedroom is in the basement, has carpet, and a cracked window. on top of that I'm maximalist and cosplay so they got into EVERYTHING. currently in bed after killing at least 30 of them. our entire house has been struggling with them for weeks and im starting to feel like im going insane.

I live in an apartment n the landlord doesn't believe I've an issue? I've found inside and out. I need weather stripping cuz I watched them come thru my front door a cpl of nights. It's crazy they're all over? Good luck. You're not crazy. Zevo spray kills on contact. I spray around vents. Going to be hot again. I'm going to go n buy another bottle today. It's the only thing that kills on contact. I've been thru many bug sprays.

    • @urbanchameleon1541
      @urbanchameleon1541 3 месяца назад +2

      I tried Ortho Home Defense and it didn’t work. The earwigs walked right over it and didn’t die later. I read online that they don’t groom themselves like other insects, which is why it doesn’t work. The only method I’ve found so far is diatomaceous earth. It’s killing them for sure but I’ve got thousands outside. Nothing seems to be enough. I put out Terro gel baits for the ants and I saw an earwig go for it. I’m going to try the Terro Ant Bait granules. It says it works for earwigs but I don’t know if they’ll go for it. I think I need something that will attract them to knock out the population instead of killing a few at a time. The soy sauce/vegetable oil traps work too.
