Have been waiting for reviews of A Family Affair, because although the movie had a nice feel, it left me wanting for some more insight into the characters. I wish the movie had given more room to Nicole kidman's character as a writer. She looks like she's in a Nancy Meyers movie but I wish the character had been written with that astuteness too. However, I won't dismiss the movie as bollywoodish, for one, the beautiful relationship among the three women in the movie is a far cry from how bollywood portrays its women. I think it is the three women in the movie who make it so enchanting and any scene with Kathy Bates effuses so much warmth. Also, I think Zac Efron went through surgery after an accident, as they say in the movie.
