That turned out great. So nice that it's not all grey and white. Love the colors, you used mostly what they already had. This kind of makeover is very helpful.
Monica, you knocked it out of the park on this one. The bold colors are amazing and seamlessly blend the three separate spaces in a difficult to transition layout. Well done you.
What I love about this is that a lot of us don't have the budget to remove walls and/change an entire layout. I really miss shows that are just about styling styling. Just moving furniture around and adding accents and colors that can literally transform a room without having to do any major renovations. This turned out really beautiful.
I love color, especially jewel tones and rainbow things and this was right up my alley. It was awesome you could use their existing pieces and have them go with the new things. Those sofas are SO gorgeous and they look really comfortable. I love the creative wallpaper / paint piece thingy and the drawings that Shana partially painted. Everything just came out so awesome! Monica, you just seem to be an endless font of cool, creative ideas. I love this series! :)
Absolutely nailed it. Love love love it. These three spaces flow so seamlessly into one big open living space. Was not sure about the colour choices at reveal diy time but they turned out just fantastic.
I am envious, they have such a huge master bedroom. I wasn't sure about the color choices, but it all worked in the end. The only thing I would add would be a table lamp or floor lamp between the two chairs in the TV nook. I'm a big reader and I would want some light.
Clicked on this video because the color on the wall looked a lot like the one I just put in my own living room, turns out it’s literally the exact same color 😂😂😂. I love it!
Loved the color and inspiration brought to this space. There are so many homes with this layout and it is surprising how challenging it can be. Sectioning paint and wallpaper makes such a significant difference. I love your shows.
Love the finished look. Great new pieces of furniture look like they really belong. I bet the low couch backs aren't very comfy for lazy lounging, but they are pretty. Don't love the painted panels. I am not sure how I would change them, but maybe fewer colours (just the ones in the furniture and wallpaper?) with all around frames, or maybe some dark lines within (shapes taken from the wallpaper or floral pictures) to make them more interesting and less like a line-up of colour swatches. Overall, very homey with the pillows and plants, and inspiring with the creative, quick, easy projects :)
What a great house and Monica made it the best. It would be fun if Monica’s friend Jess came as a surprise to help on one project. Back to the old days.
My favorite. I do love Lowe's. They extended me credit and delivered for free my Dremel tool set and flex shaft! Plus they are so design forward and more fun than those tacky "other guys". Plus, that house was divine!
I am more of a neutral color lover when it comes to decorating a house, but this looks amazing. The colors put while also blending beautifully together.
Another great video, love the pops of colour and that wallpaper it's just stunning 😍 @monicamangin about the past series... watched them all 😁 and more than once 🙈 but I can always watch them again in between the new episodes 😅
You had me a little worried there, those colors are everything I don’t want…….. I know I’m not the mid century modern person lol but, but the rooms turn out really really good!!! Love everything about it and even that you had them do their own artwork! That living room with all those windows absolutely gorgeous you don’t say that too often nowadays. Can’t wait till the next one!
Love love it, teal is my favorite color , these rooms are gorgeous !! I hope you scotch guarded all of the cloth furniture with their 3 littles a huge mess will be made ...
Slam dunk on this one Monica. I love MCM and you managed the vibe while keeping it modern. The only thing I didn't care for was the panels. It reminded me of a '50's TV test pattern. Maybe less panels with space in between, but that's just me.
Those turquoise walls need blond wood furniture, a red sectional, beige room size rugs with slubs of turqoise, red and gold, two swivel chairs, and printed draperies. That's the livingroom I grew up in.
@13:00, there is something just a little off about that and I think it's the wallpaper. It's lovely, but the blue background needed to be the same shade as the accent wall colour.
Always interesting to see how mid-century modern is interpreted in the present day. Growing up back then, I never saw anything that even remotely resembled a mid-century modern living room as it is represented now. Sure, some people had some of that furniture in their finished, panelled basements - but real mid-century was not mid-century modern as presently interpretted. For living rooms, usually some more modern pieces were coordinated with older pieces. Maybe I just didn't have any friends whose parents were hip or groovy, though. It is important to distinguish between mid-century modern pieces, the "iconic" (cliche) mid-century modern pieces, and entire mid-century modern rooms (which I never once saw). Even the "iconic" pieces of the period were not common in middle-class homes in the part of the country where I grew up.
I have been waiting for the weekender finally ... I thought it will.be once a week 😁 .. monica ur design so great n colorful .. but it make u look a bit pale ..
Love you. Monica.
The bold colors initially made me quite nervous, but you slammed it like a home run. Beautiful.
LOL! They looked a little brighter on camera!
Really it's too good 😊 I also nervous the beginning but final results awesome 👍👍 Sonia from India. I really big fan of you.
That turned out great.
So nice that it's not all grey and white.
Love the colors, you used mostly what they already had.
This kind of makeover is very helpful.
Glad you liked it!!
This is one of my favorites from this season. Really loved that this felt so doable.
I agree! It was awesome to see how much things can change without a major reno!!
Loved seeing Monica and her energy. The mid century vibe is so appealing.
So grateful for homeowners who embraced those saturated colors! It really works and suits the home and homeowners so well!
The kids will be so happy living in such a colorfully cheerful home. Good job!!!

That looks beautiful! So full of life and cozy...
I wouldn't choose this style for my house, but I will steal some ideas from this makeover 😁

Her idea and my idea of budget DIY are completely different!
