I absolutely love the space. I think my fav is the use of colors. So many people are so scared of color, but when you see a well- done space using color, well, chef’s kiss! I also loved all of the easy diy’s. I’m taking notes, lol.

Well I can say I was so extremely doubtful at the beginning seeing the colors, but wow! What an amazing transformation! I love the room.
Love hearing that we won you over with the makeover lol. Sometimes it's hard to see where we're headed, but I always say trust the process! (Except for with the 76ers bc we're still terrible right now)

Love the final look!! I like the cool 3D dramatic effect of the crown molding squares but personally I would have liked something thinner..or gradient sizing with each inner square, thick to thin.
Yeah you totally could customize the size of the molding - I think a bunch of thin pieces would look awesome too! A few bigger ones made this more weekender friendly since we only have a few days
The bookcase and the hinged table are amazing doable DIY projects! Great transformation!

Okay I was just trying to convince my mom that blue and green are really a very nice combo (my living room happens to have a lot of green and blue lol) so I’ll have to share this with her to truly convince her haha!
Beautiful result! I love colour drenching. The one inconsistency is that the fake drawers on the coffee table should be only on 2 opposite sides, as it is impossible to have wide drawers on all four.
A very cozy room, I love the dark and moody color theme. I like the style of the sofa but not the color. Love the chairs and the built in bookcases are amazing. I have to get me some of those battery operated (rechargeable!) lamps, especially for my outsize gazebo, which doesn't have a power hook-up for lights in the evening and to run one from the house would be more than my retirement budget allows. To me, the only other things missing to make the room perfect is an electric fireplace and a wing chair with a pouf to rest my tired feet and legs.

Very fun and I love the colors and the shapes used throughout the room! I would have liked to see no floor lamps but instead a couple of fun light fixtures hanging from the ceiling and maybe curtains in a color matching the sofa to give the windows more of a pop, but it still looks FABULOUS!

Just a suggestion. Pl while teaching someone to cut wood, insist on a mask. Health n safety are equally important as much as doing a DIY

I like the room however, I would had added molding to the book shevles to make it classy like the walls.
Definitely would be a nice touch! Weekender... so much to do, so little time. The challenge makes it fun though!
Wasn't sure at the start with the colors but turned out ok. But...why leave the raw plywood edge on the darling coffee table?
Thanks for watching! Sometimes we just have to choose what we can squeeze into a Weekend - you def could add more trim etc. My motto is often done is better than perfect. Sometimes I think perfect is what holds people back from trying and doing :)

The drawers idea would be so smart if you had only put them on two sides, opposite each other. It's obvious it's fake because there would be no way all sides could have drawers!
Agree, but overall the look was better with 4 sides and if anyone questions that while they're visiting we'd have a heart to heart about the things that actually matter in life. lol This cute table is not one of them.
Would've loved to have seen the kids' reactions, but I understand not wanting to video the children.
