This was really great! I’ve never seen Roger tear into the drums like that, and his vocals really are spot on, he could easily sing lead for his own band if he wanted but he chose to rock with Queen!
VOTE IN THE POLL FOR A QUEEN SONG WE SHOULD REACT TO!!! 😁❤️
You such a handsome :) Nice reaction.💓💖
I'd appreciate it if you could respond to the song.
Twenty-four seconds of breathless, high note
Kim Kyung Hyun (김경현) - Don't cry: ruclips.net/video/ePyCsYEp95E/видео.html

Please pick up the early albums again - you've missed so much
Roger DID sing lead for his own band! He had a side project, The Cross, from '87 to '93.
@Steven Nodlehs
Don’t worry we’re going to explore all over I promise 😁
@The Applesauce Project
Whhhhaaaattt???!!!!?
My favorite phrase is :
“Told my girl I had to forget her
I’d rather buy me a new carburetor “
😂😂😂
@I’m Weak For Deaky
Lol!! Didn’t catch that one! 😁
Cars don't talk back, they're just four wheeled friends now. Gotta love it!
“Im not the leader, I’m the lead singer” - Freddie Mercury. I think we can see that here. 💚
"Actually, this time, I am the leader" 😆
I love Roger on the drums!! And his singing while playing???? A whole new level!! I love the shot of Freddie at the piano looking over his shoulder at Roger with a big smile on his face!! Reminds me of my own huge smile!! Great song and reaction!!
Lolli Nelson yes! It’s incredibly hard to sing and play the drums at the same time and Roger killed it and this is awesome
Roger locked himself in a cupboard to get this number released as the b-side of Bohemian Rhapsody until Mercury agreed
The cupboard story is hilarious 😂
Yup only Queen ....
Jasper van Dijk yes he did! It’s good tho
Well worth it too!
The reason being the b side of a single earned as many royalties as the A side so Roger earned the same money as Freddie earned for Bo Rap
Okay... somebody just climbed about 20 places in my top drummers list. 😳
As other people wrote down here it was on the B side of Bohemian Rhapsody (the myth said that Roger closed himself in a cupboard until Freddie agreed on realeasing it as a B side of BoRhap).
The song is not one of the best Queen songs, but the live version is special because it was Roger's moment to shine, and fan loved it during the concerts.
I would have never suggested you this as a Queen song (at least this early in your Queen journey) but I'm glad that you made this reaction because this song is so ridiculously fun and, well, finally poor Roger (always hidden behind the drums and supporting Freddie's vocals) could showcase what he's made of.
Once again proving that Roger was often more of a drama Queen than Freddie himself.
Please listen to the studio version. It's longer and with the revving car noises really makes the song come alive. You really need to listen to the entire "Night at the Opera" album. Truly great experience.
The studio version is nice, but I find the live version to be "dirtier", which feels more suitable to the song somehow to me, so I prefer live.
I think this version is much better, the studio one is too slow imo and kinda boring. Kinda the same with Radio Ga Ga and Hammer To Fall at Live Aid, both songs were played slightly faster so they could play all the songs within 20 minutes. And I think it’s better for it.
John Chambers 💯💯💯💯 it’s awesome. That’s why I gave this song 9.5 because I’ve heard so many different versions and it’s absolutely awesome and deserved to be on the B side of Bohemian Rhapsody
KD MEDIA I kind of agree with you now that you mention it because this has more power
Well,...at least the studio version is complete... .
Rodgers vocals are underrated in my opinion. Lots of people don’t realise the super high mind blowing notes are Rodger, well until the movie that was.
Chuck he was lead singer for the cross when the band members were doing their own things in 1983. They put out some pretty good music but man on fire is probably one of my favorites
Final crazy high notes in Bohemian Rhapsody opera solo ?
They were all Rodge's!
A Queen fact -- Brian May does not use a pick.. He uses a coin - a British Sixpence, which is no longer in circulation. He thinks plastic picks are at too damn flimsy!!
I didn't know that. It is a gem of information, thanks. ❤
Fleur DeLis I actually know about that and I think that’s one of his classical style’s and one reason why he just plays so damn good
I can’t blame him. Those things do look flimsy. I guess that’s one of the many reasons why he’s one of the best, if not the best, guitarist.
I bought a Brian May signature effect box for my guitar and it came with a sixpence coin. That was years ago and I don't know if it's still available.
The name of the coin in question is called a Tanner, the slang name for a sixpence.
Listen to Tenement Funster with Roger doing lead vocal. Fantastic early Queen. I was so very lucky to see them on the NotW tour. Never ever forget that show. As ever, always love watching your first exposure, so infectious!
I agree. I saw Queen live in August of 1982 and it's something I have never forgotten. I saw many, many concerts back when real rock bands used to tour and it didn't cost your first born for a ticket. None were as memorable as Queen. As a bonus. It was the first real light show I had ever seen.
ain´t it funny? roger taylor is a better singer than most leads in rockbands. but well, there was freddy in his band ...
And dig it. There are so many rockin' Queen songs you have not touched yet. Try Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow 1974.
You got the "wtf?!" of the song correct. When Roger introduced the song to the band the rest of them were like, 'Are you joking?' Brian really was not sure about the song because of the lyrics. Roger made a whole load of money from this song because it was the B Side of Bohemian Rhapsody.
By the way, it's in 6/8 time.
Antony Mugford yea listening back I completely realized that, I misspoke meaning it’s still a normal timing
The live in Montreal concert as a whole is easily one of the best full band performances ever. They were so so tight and on top of their game
Roger is easily one of the most UNDERRATED drummer/vocalist of all time. People really don't understand how talented he is until they see him play LIVE....that's when he snatches your mind. 💎💎💎💎💎
Yay!!! “I’m in Love w/ My cAr”... 💕 this famous song that made it to the B-side of Bohemian Rhapsody by locking himself in the cupboard & didn’t get out till Freddie agreed😂 Roger’s husky voice they say sounded like Rod Stewart’s, what do you guys think? Thanks for reacting to this live version!! To appreciate more of Roger’s voice, PLEASE listen to IN THE LAP of the GODS (NOT revisited)😊 you will be amaaaaazed!!!!!
Only Queen can get away with a song like this one, LOL!
Roger's grit is amazing by the way, not only his high notes. I'm not gonna tell you the cupboard story because everybody else is, for sure!
It's funny to see Brian with his guitar in this one. He's like "I'm just chilling here, keep on" :P
Thank you, guys, I so enjoy your reviews even more than your reactions!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️LoveLoveLoveLoveLove. My favourite live performance of Roger’s. He nails the vocal, nails the drumming. Can’t even wrap my brain around the complexity of that. And so much frickin’ energy in the performance, I feel so happy when I watch it. My only frustration about the video is that Brian walks in front of the camera RIGHT during the best drum fill of the song! 😝. 2 last notes: 1) The song is actually in 6/8 time (so, essentially 3/4). And 2) the studio version IS also really really good, but this is one of the few songs I like better live, because there is more energy. So, just be prepared for that when you go to the studio version. 😊. Excellent excellent reaction, boys. Probably my favourite.
Thank you for the thoughtful comment! I’m glad our vid did the song justice! Cheers friend! 😁
I have an idea for a Queen Reaction, but this would involve 2 versions of one song: First one is "Now I'm here" - Live at the Rainbow 1974 and the second "Now I'm here" - Live at Wembley 12th of July 1986. Here you'd hear how the sound of Queen changed over the years and how they can make one song sound different but both great.
P.S. Keep up the great work.
I agree. I’ve also lobbied for the same side-by-side comparison of their sizzling rock-n-roll medleys from London 75 and Wembley 86. In the medley, a staple of their concerts, it’s like they revert to four friends jamming in the garage to the 50s rnr that inspired them to be musicians. Whether it’s baby queen in satin and sequins or the commanding professionals of Wembley 86, they raise the roof with their joyous medleys.
I like this idea.
This song was actually the B side to Bohemian Rhapsody's first release and on the album, it's about three minutes long. Roger made two solo albums before Freddie did (actually all the members did solo projects before Freddie). Roger also played guitar and sang lead for a band called The Cross. He still does solo work where he plays all the instruments, piano - drums- guitar plus vocals. If you want a huge dose of Roger Taylor, check out The Lot. It has all of his solo stuff plus albums from The Cross up until 2013, I think. Queen was so good as a whole, that a lot of people underestimate the individuals as musicians. All four of them were incredible at their craft. (as a side note Rufus Taylor, Roger's son, is making a name for himself as a drummer.)
Now listen to the studio version it is longer.
Yay...Wednesday with Andy and Alex and Queen!! Not one of my favs, but love Roger enough to really enjoy..lol Please consider Tie Your Mother Down, Save Me or Play the Game from Montreal '81. Also, two latter videos...The Miracle and I Want It All...they are so good. Enjoy you guys and like the rating system.
@Dana Kelley
Haha fair enough! And yes we’re going to see if we like rating, so far it’s been fun!!
Big like for Tie Your Mother Down !
I love all of your choices in music, especially Queen music!! I have a request for your queue. Queen , Get Down, Make Love. Every single person who grew up with Queen (that I know) remembers this song being played nonstop in our youth. I have yet to see any reactor play this song. The song was on th he racy side back in the 70s, it is down right dirty now. Our societal language changes are on display big time in this song. If you ever do get to it, please first react to the Montreal 1981. It will make your mouth drop, a little like Death On Two Legs. Thanks!!
Get Down Make Love!!! YEAH!
OMG, yes, and so true, Lolli, re the contrast between seventies values and today’s. In concert, Queen slid straight from I’m in Love With My Car into Get Down Make Love. The transition alone makes your hair stand on end. Together, they’re beyond sizzling.
@@hannyhawkins7804 Perfectly said! Beyond sizzling!!
Agree!!!
Roger wrote this song for one of their roadies, Johnathan Harris, who was always talking about how his Triumph TR4 was the love of his life.
And, as the B side to BoRhap, this song bought Roger his first Range Rover.
Nice one lads...always a pleasure when you post😊😉. X
@Belinda Melville
😁😁😁
Love you guys! Welcome to the magic of the 70's! Many of us women in the 70's were in love with Roger (and his car) more so than Freddie at the time. He can still rock it and I hope he plays this song on tour this summer!
I find the cupboard anecdote hilarious tho to be completely honest it comes from one unverified source and has never been actually confirmed. Drowse is imo Roger's best song for Queen, along with These are the days of our lives. His solo/The Cross recordings are just as underrated as his drumming. Some didn't age that well, others are still scarily relevant (he wrote a lot of political songs, was very vocal about his opinions and worldviews). A lot of people tend to dismiss him as replaceable member of the band, some still talk about him as nothing more than Queen's pretty boy but he's a talented, hardworking multi instrumentalist with a great voice and he deserves better than that.
Oh and this song was inspired by their roadie Jonathan Harris who apparently used to say his car was the love of his life.
Guess what ? Roger and the cupboard has been confirmed. One of the studio engineers or producers on A Night at the Opera - I forget which it was - said in a book about Queen that Roger locked himself in a tape cupboard until he had his victory with Im In Love With My Car.
@@cristiona22 can you give me the title please? There's a lot of Queen and Freddie books out there and maybe a total of 4 I trust with fact checking and proper sourcing. I'm not saying it didn't happen (Roger was a drama queen with a temper as a youngster and it makes for a hilarious story), I'm just saying it's spread online in the past couple of years like a well known fact and we all know how internet works 😉
@@cristiona22 I've rechecked and the only apparent source of that story is from revised 2017 Mojo not quoting Baker directly but stating Baker remembers this happening. I just think it's odd that it's not mentioned in Queen As It Began nor countless Queen, or Brian and Roger interviews over the 45 years of this happening (would Bri really pass up the opportunity to roast Rog on this? 😂) If it happened? Lol yes hilarious I love it. But we could all use precautions in stating things as facts, that's all.
dresden123456 The Dead Straight Guide to Queen chapter 7 page 213 paragraph 4.
@@cristiona22 cool thanks for the reference, we'll need to agree to disagree tho and leave it at that :)
The time signature is 6/8.
You have to try 'drowse' from a day at the races album, roger sings there, the music and lyrics are great.
Thats definitely my favourite Roger Taylor one so far. A drowsy, hallucinogenic, melancholic perspective on teenage life.
I agree, an underrated song, really good, brings a lazy, relaxing mood.
Drowse is beautiful, lyrically and musically. Shades of the Plastic Ono Band.
Drowse is in my Top 10 Favorite Queen songs....not only that lazy slide guitar vibe, but the lyrics....they somehow "spoke" to me (and I'm one of those people who rarely pays attention to lyrics or gets deep meaning from them). But the whole drowsy Sunday vibe, and knowing you have all this potential but you just can't choose what to do first, or you're too lazy to choose.... when your choice of breakfast food is major decision..... Amazing!
I haven’t watched this yet but I can tell it’s going to be a banger
@Rafal Bator
It was!
I waited SO SO BADLY to see you comment on this :D THANK YOU!!! You made my day. This "little" song is a fire. Studio version is very good (a bit longer, nice choirs included), but in comparison to live one, it seems a little flat. Montreal '81 is the best live gig Queen ever made in my impression. Roger has such a unique vocal sound and so wide range. He still does, when they played in my home city in Poland and Roger shoot this track - LIVE singing and drumming the full song - I was in tears. Love you guys, thank you so much for doing this song :***
@Agnieszka Lesiak
Hey I’m glad you enjoyed the video!!! It was really great! 😁❤️
Not sure if someone has commented yet, but they kinda combined this song with Killer Queen when done live. The studio version is around 3 min....DEFINITELY need to listen to it. And apparently Freddie would get a kick out of Roger struggling playing & singing it. Lol. Hence his glance towards him.
Killer Queen, I’m in Love With My Car, Get Down Make Love were all elided together in concert for a truly tour-de-force medley.
This was a GREAT reaction because I LOVE this song and your reactions were hilarious. This is a shorter version of the song; they did a cute lil medley where they started with Killer Queen and then during the guitar solo in that they transition perfectly seamlessly into I'm In Love With My Car. Roger actually wrote it about one of Queen's roadies who they were all pretty sure was in love with his car! I prefer the live version but I know some prefer studio. I cracked up laughing at the blue balls comment because the shortness of it makes me feel that way too!
Haha haha it was just killer, a total tease, going to have to check out the studio sometime!
Roger always had a nice solo on tour. Good drummer. They were so good live. ☮️
I love this song!
But I think Roger has sung some even better ones, especially ‘Loser in the End’ and ‘Fight from the Inside’. Those are largely forgotten about which is a shame. ‘Fun it’ is damn good as well - worth a listen!
Fight from the Inside is a fantastic song. And I’ve always thought Modern Times RocknRoll deserves more love. They’ve always seemed to me like a matched pair.
I LOVE Fun It! DON'T SHUN IT! FUN IT!
Happy Wednesday to you both. Great post! If you want to give yourself a gift just watch the entire Live At Montreal concert. Probably the best live gig ever committed to film. Each of them are completely top of their game in it.
Annie Anonymous I was going to say that too!
I love playing this concert through its jaw dropping from start to finish. The quality of their live recordings that we have from Montreal, the Odeon, Budapest and Wembley really adds to their legacy.
@@molokoko786 Yes! And you never ever tire of watching Live At Montreal. Astounding quality from start to finish. So many live shows of theirs to watch, each a little bit different. We are very lucky to at least still have that.
Totally agree. Houston 77, Rainbow 74 and Hammersmith 77 are all scorchers. What a privelege it is to see them morphing from baby Queen all the way through to the consummate, stadium-commanding professionals of Wembley 86.
@phartley58 Me too. Give me a time machine and I'd go to Montreal for that night. You do literally sit there with your mouth hanging open at the Sheer Heart Attack performance. It's just wild and almost X rated!
Yessss, awesome reaction again guys, thank you. And to think they didn't want to put this song on a record. Please also check this song Live at Hammersmith Odeon in 1979, you can hear Rogers voice much clearer and the camera work is better, shots from behind the drum kit.
@Ruben Tullenaar
Thank you! And thanks for the tip! 😁
As always, great reaction.
@Don Scofield
Thank you!
I love you guys! Always great Queen reactions. I was really hoping you wouldn't drop Queen after "the hype".
@Danelle Covey
Not until we feel like we’ve heard enough and we’re not even close!! 😁❤️
AndyReacts Yay! There's so much greatness still!
my favourite Queen, Roger song : Tenement Funster
I love Roger’s voice
You guys have to do Impromptu from Wembley Stadium to appreciate Freddies full range...it's incredible
great reaction as always !! you guys should listen to “Bring Back That Leroy Brown” ! it’s brilliant :)
I absolutely love this version of the song. And I'm so happy you guys not only loved it, but actually commented on the musicality of it.
Roger is a phenomenal drummer (my top 3 faves) and has an amazing voice. I love when people find out how great a singer he is. And how much of a beast he was playing live
Now I have to watch more of your vids. Great job :)
I loved this whole convo in the movie. You would never know he’s the high-note hitter with that raspy voice.
Superb. Should've listened to the very next song called Get Down Make Love. It shows each member of the band doing what they do best.
Yeah, these two together are even greater than the sum of their considerable parts. Together in concert, they’re sizzling.
That is my favorite line: "cars don't talk back, they're just four wheeled friends now." even as a girl I think it's so funny 😂 I remember Roger saying in an interview that this was about someone else he knew who was really obsessed with their car. But I could be wrong. Listen to the studio version! the harmonies are fantastic. There is a live version where Freddie sings the chorus along with him (I forget which one)
I'm in Love with my Car Live Houston 1977
brian was laughing about this song in a 'making of' documentary, he said "roger was always into fast things, cars etc etc" wink wink 😉 having a dig at his women!! 🤣🤣 👑✊🇬🇧
You should react to 'Drowse'! It's one of Roger's best songs and it's very beautiful!
Check out ''no one but you'' for Brian and Roger Vocals, it's the Song they wrote for Freddie after he past, it's really sad.
Rogers pet song project lol ! He only does the first verse in this though - there is another clip where he sings the second verse as well. He had his own band along side Queen called The Cross where he sang lead and played guitar. One of his solo tracks I like is Man on Fire - he’s a bad actor in the film clip but it’s a good song. I saw an interview with Roger where he said he’s never thought of himself as only a drummer but as a drummer/singer as he’s been both right back to his early days in The Reaction in Cornwall . I love his vocals and drumming - he’s my favourite member of Queen.
You have to react to two amazing queen songs performed live in wembley (they are linked)
Seven seas of rhye + in the lap of the gods
Hey we actually just recorded a vid for Seven seas!!
I did that one too but it has a lot of lag
They always did this as part of a medley of early hits, and cut it short to run it into Get Down Make Love. The studio version is longer.
Kind of a sequel to this was Ride the wild wind from innuendo, Freddie on Vocals but written by Roger about riding his motorbike.
Great drumming, great guitar solo....never performed live but there’s a lyric video, plus an unofficial instrumental version on RUclips...which is awesome & shows how epic the music is
Hahah iTs A MeTaPhoR ALeX !!! 😂
you probably already know the story but Roger locked himself in a frickin cupboard because he wanted I’m in love with my car to be on the B side of Bohemian Rhapsody but everyone hated it and thought he’s just joking so he locked himself in that thing until Freddie finally agreed😂😂😂 ahh lol
oh and just in case you guys are wondering: Freddie wrote a song about bicycling 🙂🚴🏻♂️a little later in Queen history called „Bicycle Race“ if you react to it definitely watch the official video😉😏.. just sayin.. trust me😅
see ya 🙌🏻 great vid as always!!
@Mrs Fahrenheit
Lol!!! That’s hilarious! Hope you’re doing well friend!!
Hello there Mrs Fahrenheit! 💕 I know I’d see you here!!😄
Wing And you, Wing.👋
Hanny Hawkins oh, hi there, Hanny!!😁and you too! Lol
AndyReacts 😂yeah for real these dudes are too extra like wtf
and yes☺️thanks! I hope you too
PS Listening to Roger’s songs, keep in mind, he generally plays all the instruments as well as doing lead vocals, through the 70s Queen and solo work. tho not maybe on Innuendo.
See the official video for Everything is Broken to see him at the keyboards, rhythm and lead guitar and of course drums.
Roger hits the drumkit and notes spotton he is an amazing musician
Roger is my favorite rock drummer of all time and I’ve seen him sing this live 3 times. I definitely recommend the studio version - his voice is really incredible on that and you can really hear the awesome guitar runs by Brian throughout the song. Please check it out. Also check out his solo song Man on Fire. There is actually a real music video for it with Roger wandering around some warehouse, lol.
The famous B-Side of Bohemian Rhapsody back in the days when it was first released as a vinyl single.
Listen to the album version it's just as amazing.
Heheee yes! I love this song it's so cheesy! Amazing lyrics, but because they're funny 😂 It definitely makes you smile! The live short is good but it runs on from Killer Queen so you get the best effect watching them both. I heard it was about a particular guy they knew who really loved his car...?
Love your videos guys. Again, I'm recommending Tie Your Mother Down from A Day at the Races. Pleeeeaassssssse!
I play this version over and over again. Of course it is pumping 😊❤️👑
Love it! Always happy to see Roger get the recognition and respect he deserves ❤️ and totally agree that he could be the lead vocalist of another band!
As for the song, I watched an interview with Roger where he says it’s an unusual composition because he wrote it in 6/8 time (waltz time).. listen again carefully and you can definitely hear it!
I highly recommend “Fight from the Inside”, it’s my favorite Roger track! The guitar and his vocals are amazing on it!
Amazing anyone could beat the drums that hard and sing that good. Love You Roger❤️
lmao you should watch roger’s drum solo from this concert, it’s FANTASTIC. also, fred’s amused glance over his shoulder kills me because i’ve always thought it was like a ‘check out this adorable idiot’ look 😂
Well, I think everything I had to say was already said in the other comments. So I will repeat some things: listen to the studio version and the whole album of A night at the opera. :)
You Two! Keep it up!! Rogers voice is sooo good (Try Tenement Funster)
@Mike Johansson
Thanks!!!
As much as I love this song, there are 3 more (with Roger singing lead) that I love even more..."Fight From the Inside" (such a great heavy groove), "Tenement Funster" and "Loser in the End" (about mothers, of all things!). He sounds terrific on all three. Hope you eventually check them out!
And I love the fact that you guys appreciate both Roger's singing & drumming. He's truly special!
Isn’t Drowse beautiful? I totally agree re Tenement Funster, and I’d add Modern Times RocknRoll, from Queen 1 - waaaay ahead of its time.
Roger sang lead on at least one song on all of Queen’s 70s albums. Brian also sang lead on quite a few early albums. In their concerts these song were usually performed by their peerless front-man Freddie. Queen regarded their studio and live versions as quite different art forms.
Listen to No One But you(Only The Good Die Young), best post Freddy Queen song and 100% will make you cry!
Do 39 live
Roger usually holds back a bit. I think of him like Ringo. A VERY VERY good drummer but he knew what he needed to do and drummed what made the songs perfect. This song was his baby and he was able to show his actually ability. Roger Taylor is an amazing drummer.
Now, the mythos goes, that like you when the other Queen guys heard Roger’s pitch for the song they were like “no way”. So what did Roger Taylor do? Lock himself in a cupboard until they agreed to record it of course, it’s Roger freaking Taylor we’re talking about. Not sure if it’s 100% true, but I can totally imagine it happening during their heated recording sessions!
slightly off pieste but Phil Collins was also the lead vocalist and drummer with Genesis after Peter Gabriel left for a solo career, now that's a completely new box of goodies to open
@Ian Loasby
Sounds fun! There are sooo many groups to explore! Much more than I anticipated when I started the channel, thanks! 😁
AndyReacts Genesis asked Roger to join as their drummer and found Collins after Roger turned them down.
AndyReacts How much of the Beatles’ work do you know??
@@hannyhawkins7804 not to.much, have the last two.albums knocking about abbey rd and let it be
Back in that time era guys, and girls, were in love with their muscle cars. Many songs were written about cars in the 70’s, because there were sooo many sweet rides!
This song (live performance) - absolute 10/10, no doubt
Hey Andy. Nice job in spreading good music to the masses. I have a Queen sugestion for you. « A Winters Tale », one of the last songs recorded by the band before Freddie died. Dedicated to the town of Montreaux in Suisse, where Queen had a studio, and an exile place for Freddie, who long for peace and tranquility before he died.
The lyrics were inspired by one of the band's roadies, Johnathan Harris, whose Triumph TR4 was evidently the "love of his life".[3] The song is dedicated to him, with the liner notes mentioning, "Dedicated to Johnathan Harris, boy racer to the end".
Roger is amazing! (they all are) I attended the 2005 concert in Rotterdam and the drum solo was astonishing. He went center stage with only two things to hit, and they kept on adding on drum parts. For 10 minutes we just watched him doing his magic. I've seen them several times but this time I was 3 meters away from him and I must say: his sneakers are usually dope...
YES, FINALLY I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR! The live version of this song is AMAZING, even better than the studio version in my opinion, but you should listen to it too.
Sometimes I go check this live out because it energizes me and, I admit, I LOVE watching Roger play this song…. Actually I love watching Roger play any song ahahaha
Also I LOVED how you first reacted right after the song stopped, I had almost the same reaction myself the first time I watched it xD
@Eloisa Ingrassia
Yes it was incredible!!! So glad I got around to it! 😁😁
You should look at some more drummer/singers like Helium Head by Sir Lord Baltimore or the live tv version of The Work Is Done by Birth Control
You need to react to the next song on the set: Get Down, Make Love. That live version is the best one
It's so nice to here you talking about Roger, I'm the biggest queen fan ever but to here him sing that song live it's amazing, and I'm lucky enough to have a few times, he is one of the best drummer ever, and the best ever band live ever
Wonderful reactions, as always!! Roger has a great voice, I love him and Freddie singing 'Under Pressure' together Live in Montreal '81. For me, 'I'm in Love with my Car' will always be "just a bit weird, Roger", lol.
everybody in queen was amazing ....complete band
Great reaction to a great song!!! And this song is in 6/8! Please react to Queen -Staying Power( Live at Milton Keynes Bowl, 1982)
@Andy & Alex
Roger had previously had many offers from other bands to be their lead singer, which for a drummer in those days was highly unusual. Every single member of Queen were fantastic vocalists in his own right - hence their harmony on vocals in so many great songs of theirs !❤
You can never go wrong with the live versions!
Roger’s voice is so sexy.... love it! Drumming ain’t so bad either 🤣
Roger had his own band The Cross, I love his album "Mad Bad and Dangerous to know" , the track "Liar" not the same as the Queen version is excellent, “On top of the world ma“ is another stand out. Roger has done a number of solo albums as well, "Foreign Sand" is lovely, he re released it with Yoshike as well. Roger like Brian has done a lot of work which would take a long time to get through. Another song which is not Queen but are on it apart from John is called "The man from Manhattan", they are with a singer called Eddie Howell, its as Queen as you can get though.
He started another band (The Cross) so he COULD be a lead vocalist. Also his solo work is solid stuff. Listen to his “I Am The Drummer (In a Rock n Roll Band)” for a good laugh - and he wrote THAT only five years ago.
Guys - another great reaction - thank you. If you like Roger's drumming, check out the Queen Live Killers version of Brighton rock....drum solo - but not quite like you'll expect.........oh, and there's a little bit of Brian on guitar too (No spoliers, people :-) )
The studio version is longer. I love Roger's voice!
Andy, please react You Take My Breath Away... The studio version... Please, please please... 🙏
It's about the phenomenon of "boy racers". There is a lot of underlying humour in Queen that people miss.
Queen were VERY funny and snarky in a lot of their songs and, indeed, Freddie’s stage antics.
I love seaside rendevue
I am always here for your Queen reaction 😁 Queen Forever..
A true shame that I can only like this video once
@rebelpunx88
Aw thank you so much! 😁😁😁❤️
fantastic drum performance thanks andy
"Cars don't talk back; they just do what you tell them". LOL. Classic Roger. I love this song.
I've been watching your reactions for quite some time now ... I made my computer angry and guess it decided I could kick rocks and it self retired. Anyway the music you've been reacting to, from the 1900's when music was great and still stands the test of time. I saw Pink Floyd and Rush had most of PF's albums and a couple of Rush, Queen and Zeppelin. I know you get a boatload of requests and suggestions so I'm throwing my 2 cents in. Anything by Stevie Ray Vaughan (I saw him not long before he died) same with Jeff Healey, Molly Hatchet (Whiskey Man, Flirtin' With Disaster + many more) REO Speedwagon (157 Riverside Avenue/Gary's Flying Turkey Trot). Y'all haven't made a dent in great music from back in the day. Or you can keep doing it the way you have been. I enjoy watching your facial expressions and your appreciation for older music.
@Jimi Adams
Thank you!! And yes I’m gonna have to check them out, just so many bands haha, cheers! 😁
