trf12567 if you have watched queen performing in montreal they litterelly play this song at a high speed and right after that they litterely start playing dragin attack which is also one of queens most exhaustig songs to play on the drums
It’s cool the way Roger’s starts this song hitting both cymbals with his stick and then muting them. 0:25 The effect is cool. Such a phenomenal drummer.
@@cristiona22 - The rhythm section has to be together or the band falls apart. They are the anchor for any band and must compliment each other. The lead guitar, piano and any other instruments hang their hats on the rhythm section.
Speaking as a bassist, it’s vital that yourself and drummer are on the same wavelength, the very excellent Guy Pratt describes being a live bassist as spending your time concentrating on the drummers right foot!
Roger was right when he said he had the best view in the house, look at that! All the boys having a good time,, the crowd going wild, who wouldn’t want to see that?
I admire Roger so much. The amount of skill you need to even play drums because they are very difficult to play and he is a fantastic drummer. The amount of passion he’s putting into playing, which we can clearly see here is incredible. I’ve always had a thing for drummers, they for some reason interested me more than other people in bands. I just find it fascinating, how you can make so much art out of a set of round objects, really.
He was also an incredible guitarist, drummer, singer, and writer. Check out if you haven’t already I Wanna Testify. It is only Roger vocals and everything.
4 people that was meant to be together.. A perfect band with Freddie as the King. Roger is awesome! What he does here, highlights what a fantastic musician he is! But anyone would give their all being on stage with the greatest singer of all time, Freddie Mercury!. Long Live the King!
@Jacob Molyneux phil rudd? hell no. hes good but nowhere near the top dude. hes underrated yea but hes not incredible. simple acdc beats. why? cuz acdc is simple. E, D, G and A chords and power chords and thats it. followed by solos. john bonham easily takes #1 spot
@Jacob Molyneux every acdc song sounds the same lmao i was a huge fan for a decade until i actually realized that they all sound the same. same amp settings and same guitars same amps same speakers same mics. only different shit is tempo and medley
I saw them 6 times and went to Live Aid. Queen (with Freddie) truly are the greatest band ever. I met them all at Stafford Bingley Hall, too!. Great memories x
Roger: You are a legend Freddie! Freddie: No we ALL are! No doubt that Freddie was an out of this world performer with an incredible aura and voice but truth is he would have been nothing without the rest of the band. They all deserve their share of the success as they were all as amazing. ♥
When I really try to think of each individual, and appreciate their pure talent and raw magnetism, I become overwhelmed by the odds of this group ever happening in the first place.
As much as I love Freddie I do get frustrated when people focus only on him . They come out with things like “Freddie was Queen “. Well even Freddie always said there were four of them - not just him. Just listen to the sound they got with the four of them - amazing.
I love at the first ‘now i’m here’ he’s singing to Roger. From the audience perspective whenever Freddie turns his back to them you just think his backs turned nut from Roger’s seat you can see that Freddie basically always is looking at Roger
Roger in the eighties was just unbelievable. Fantastic musical ability coupled with peak physical condition. See how he guards his cymbals with his life. These cam views give great insight into why the concerts were as good as they were.
Roger... amazing... and, then... there’s disco Deaky!! And, in mind’s eye - Freddie dancing in circles on the upper deck, and Brian running up and down the stairs while not missing a note!
Apart from the lead singer i always admire drummers in the band..i bet its exhausting to do this routines .but his rockin it..i love roger and freddie..
One of my favourite Queen songs and one of the few from the great '74 concerts still played. At the end there is a really nice drum break. For the most part Roger plays it fairly straight but every once In a while he will just pull out a piece of genius such as the press roll in Killer Queen. That fill is top drawer. Hard to believe he is 70 next year but still rockin'.
Dios mío, Roger... inmenso!!!!! Esos brazos espectaculares!!!!!!
Probably his best performance on Now I'm Here. What a blast ! The drum sound of 1986 Magic Tour was the best I have ever heard from Queen and they played as if it would be the last tour. And it became the last tour with Freddie.
The drummers I listen to now, are 10x more faster and technical, but it all started with Roger. THe was the first drummer that got me into drums. Love watching Roger and Queen. Reminds of my early teens and wanting to play on the school drum kit.
Yep, Roger looks good from any angle! I knew that he would. He's just too gorgeous for words and an extremely talented drummer, singer, and song-writer.
This is just sheer awesomeness!! Roger is working his arms off and Queen are a concert machine with their insane talent!! Please, let's get some time travel up soon so I can get to this concert!!!
Even though RT was far behind on the stage, but, He sat on the highset spot to conquer the every beat of songs! The drummer fulfills very important duties to make a perfect song on the concert.
I used to cover this with my old band. Roger Taylor has always been my drumming inspiration but trying to nail this song gave me another appreciation of just how tight Roger played.
Even sat here gives me an adrenaline rush..... watching this from this amazing angle is just simply Awesome 🤘......gives us a real insight to what it was like to watch John, Brian and the beautiful Freddie from Rogers position....🇬🇧🤘
Non mi stanco mai di guardare questo video...Roger è semplicemente fantastico, così potente ed armonioso allo stesso tempo...mi fa sempre pensare all'inutilita' dei moderni muscoli pompati....

With all the effort it takes to play the drums for a concert, rehearsal, and recording, drummers, and in particular Roger Taylor, should have biceps 💪 like tree trunks, but most don’t, go figure?. Roger Taylor was probably one of the best musicians around when I was growing up, maybe even the best in the world, but that’s just me.😁👍🇬🇧🏴
I remember Rog saying in an interview that this song was the most physical exhausting, and boy... it looks like it. Amazing.
Yes he said he would lay like a slug and the gig was the excercise.
trf12567 those sticks are just flying. Lots of of ace drumming in that.
Do you know in each interview he Said that?
trf12567 if you have watched queen performing in montreal they litterelly play this song at a high speed and right after that they litterely start playing dragin attack which is also one of queens most exhaustig songs to play on the drums
Doesn't help that Brian May starts the song about 50% too fast.
Roger is utterly amazing. The speed with which he attacks his drums is incredible!
Офигеть ❤
I know we're supposed to be focusing on Roger but i saw John in Disco deaky mode and now i'm shook-
I think John borrowed those shorts from Freddie.
To wear with his boogie shoes😂👍🏻
Go, Johnny, GO! Haha Freddie liked it haha
Its like they ran out of wardrobe money when it came time for the show
Nice legs, disco Deaky
It's not just the view of Roger, but the view he had. It was surreal.
It’s cool the way Roger’s starts this song hitting both cymbals with his stick and then muting them. 0:25 The effect is cool. Such a phenomenal drummer.
👍❤
Buddy Rich styled.
Watch I'm In Love With My Car from the Montreal '81 concert, where he does the same, just the way he does it, so effortlessly
You know you’re a fangirl when you watch Roger Taylor’s back for 6.17 minutes
And when your profile picture is him 😄
I’m watching his arms and head too lol
@@cristiona22 point could be "when you watch Roger from behind or any angle" 😂
Roger was and still is my fave.
Related😁?
it's so nice that John always turns to Roger lol
That’s adorable
I read that he stays near Roger to keep the beat even with his bass and Rogers drums.

He was also an incredible guitarist, drummer, singer, and writer. Check out if you haven’t already I Wanna Testify. It is only Roger vocals and everything.
Also to play the drums AND SING at the same time is incredibly hard!
Will E. Fisturgash mark king how does he do that?!
Same here. .😍 Roger and his drums !
Roger is amazing and powerful!!! Brian, Jonh, Freddie. Impossible to choose. The biggest quartet of musicians that ever existed.❤️❤️❤️
Dont forget Spike, here he plays the synth :)
such a great drummer, Roger
I miss John. Hope you're well lad. You gave us all years of fun!! Thank you.

Да здравствует КОРОЛЕВА !!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I could watch Roger playing the drumms all day 😍😍😍😍
I love how John is going for it. What a bass player!
Either they practice more than any band or they just know each other better than any band. They are amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Это называется талант от Бога, кем они были поцелованы в макушку, эти великолепные парни !!! Виват, КОРОЛЕВА !!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Deaky dancing!! Brian crushing it on 🎸💕
Roger thrashing it🔥
From any angle Roger is great.
Just brilliant👍 the way the band totally respect Roger the God of all drumming/percussion/vocals 😍
Yrs after I'm dead & gone, my luv for Queen shall linger on, & whisper in a youthful ear: "There's this band u have to hear...Queen!"
best drummer
beast drummer

Really? Wow!
You are the winner!!!!
I envy you so much
Tony Davis You lucky, lucky, old, old bugger!
Tony Davis you are beyond lucky. as a young teen I obviously never got to see them in concert and it sucks :(

Thank you. Because God knows I love Freddie but Roger, Brian, and John were equally talented.
Getting a little tired lately of hearing the name Freddie. No, it's Queen.
Man... you would face any crowd when you get *the best and tightest live rock drum and bass duo* of Taylor + Deacon to have your back.
At 1:57 you can see John Deacon being John Deacon
Holy crap I just realized Roger had the best seat in the house. Every concert.
Maren Denison he even said it in an interview about Freddie
