Rock royalty at its finest and four geniuses!! The only band ever to have all four members write number one top hits & got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and 2001 and all four members were inducted into the writers Hall of Fame in 2003. I was really surprised that John Deacon didn't show up for that because Freddie Mercury worked a lot with him to help his writing and vocals. John came in at 19 years old and he wasn't arrogant but just damn good on the bass so he became a permanent member. John retired in 1997 from music forever and I'm guessing it's because he knew the band was legendary and they had completed all of the works left by Freddie Mercury by 1995. The three remaining members wrote and performed " Only You The Good Die Young" in 1997 and they had that one last performance in Paris with Elton John in 1997 and that's when John decided to retire. John was so frustrated during the band's visit to France because they had to perform with an orchestrated dance show and they didn't have a lead singer until Elton John showed up unexpectedly. Before Elton showed up the band members had planned for Brian and Rodger to sing two of the numbers that Freddie Mercury would have otherwise performed. Brian and Rodger both said that John was extremely perturbed and upset the day is coming up to that performance and even after Elton showed up the day before the performance it didn't make John feel any better. I saw the video clip, and John looked angry, frustrated, and hurt because I think deep down he knew the band had done everything they could do as a group after Freddie Mercury died and that was it. John Deacon was even quoted as saying shortly after Fred's death, ' well, it's all over now because we've lost 1 of our members and we've gone as far as we can go". John was really super fragile & took Freddie Mercury death even harder than Brian and Roger despite the fact that Brian and Roger had known Freddy longer. I'm glad to see that Rodger and Brian are still rocking away 70 + years old and having a good old time with a young Adam Lambert and whoever is playing the bass looking back in retrospect I guess Freddie Mercury was right at their last tour in 1986 at Wembley in London by saying " the band would be together until they all f-ing died, Im sure"..
Freddie once said about Brian's guitar playing-He is so talented, he can make his guitar talk. " Now I'm Here " is one of his greatest songs, and is great in concert.~ FM~
This isn’t even close to the best version of '86, despite Brian and Roger is on fire, Freddie is weak here… The best versions have to be Newcastle/Liverpool/Hammersmith '79 (awesome vocals with INSANE improvs), and the best '86 version is Brussels
0:45 to 1:00 it is actually better that the studio version! the lighting highlights on Roger on the drums is amazing. Brian May is a fricking madman and John Deacon is so tight. this must have been a GREAT concert.
@JetLi As a 60 year old rocker Freddie fan from day one I'm talking about since late 60s the Larry Lurex era. I have not ever since heard nor seen a more magnificent performer, singer, frontman, or showman vocalist come nare a hair close to Freddie. Best that has ever walked the Earth and now gracing the heavens. This my friend is excellence. The Legend never dies. #❤♔4ever
They are actually amazing and their body of work is timeless. Freddie's voice is beyond beauty. Brian's guitar work is superb. Roger's drums are solid. John carries it with the bass. Still sounds fresh today.
Great bands used to cut their teeth and sharpen them live. Back in the day, albums were often inferior to the live product. Sadly now, it's the inverse
Freddie’s vocal strength is the one and only probably forever. Brian May is exact, no excuses needed. So many years they have picked my moods up. Queen, the best forever!!!
Queen is eternal, it is forever and forever, their music is timeless, it is the type of rock music that you are passionate about and love; The first time I heard them I thought those people sing beautifully and I don't know if a person really does it and those people were Queen, a rock band that is immortal and will change your life in one way or another, thank you Queen.
That last now im here at 4:39 gave me chills cause the echo from the mic just made me imagine that freddie said that as he walked through the gates of heaven
Wow! What a performance! The whole band was fantastic! And Freddie's vocals were phenomenal especially near the end! And after running around the whole stage, I don't know how he does it!
They took an old, secondary, song written as a support group and turned it into a live rock masterpiece... unbelievable... plus, the greatest voices in the history of music (not just rock, music) are not even comparable to Freddie. God, Gods
I love watching Freddie during live exhibitions: so full of energy, running up and down the stage, dancing, singing..what a performer! n. 1 Long live to the Queen
I love this.. No band was better Live.. May, Deacon and Taylor are incredibly talented,. Freddie is getting love now, and well deserved, as he was the best front man ever.. But listen to the driving force of the other 3.. My favorite band ever..
Freddie, Brian, Roger and John, 🎶🎤👑🎶🎸🎶🥁🎶🎸🎶were Absolutely Incredible!!! There will never be, Another Legends of Queen!!!! Blessings to Everyone 💓 May 28, 2022
Freddie Mercury- These are the vocals that won over the world!#Go Johnny Go! Coming home to Wembley-"No matter where we've played or toured, we're always a British band. Playing Wembley, is like playing your hometown-its always a little more exciting, nervous- Its Home to us"~Brian May ( the Governor).
I love watching these clips, wishing I had been there, and saddened by the thought this was the last tour they ever played together with the four members of the classic lineup - Freddie, John, Roger, and Brian.
This is just FREAKING awesome, sick, lit, fire what ever the hell they are saying these days. They are extrordinary!!!! True Legands in Dec. 2019 and beyond........miss you Freddie!!
1986 год... Фредди в прекрасной физической форме. Даже не верится, что через 5 лет его не станет. До чего же быстро человека сжигает болезнь. Как же жаль... сколько бы он мог еще создать прекрасного для себя и для нас всех.
What a showman this guy was. He made it look so easy which was his extraordinary talented showing through. I sometimes wonder weather he really new how good he was. RIP Freddie Mercury.

The greatest showman that ever graced this planet. Even now all these years later he still sends shivers down my spine. Rest in peace Freddie.x
After 40/50 years he still sends shivers down spine...I completely agree...Freddy no one after you...
Also the greatest singer with the best voice and the best musician of all time
Sends shivers down your spine? Body's aching all the time?
Not all show. Freddie was a brilliant musician, pianist, singer, songwriter. Greatest Frontman our dear Freddie was/is 👑👑👑👑
And Elvis
Roger's drumming is simply outstanding here.....
333DaveH agreed!!!
Roger's drumming is simply outstanding from 1970 until 1991.
@@Dirtcowboy95 you're saying he's bad at drumming when he goes on tour nowadays?
Amazing & his voice excellent ♥️
Right on spot!
Queen. That one band that sounds even better live.
Grimreaper57 and AC/DC!
and LOUDER HAHAHAHAHAHhahahaahaha
Add The Who to that list too. At least as long as all of their instruments stayed intact.
Don't forget Thin Lizzy live
Grimreaper57 true, i really like in the laps of the gods live wembley
Roger's drumming!!!!!!!! And Freddie's insane vocals!!!
don't forget John's bass
♥️🎤🌹❤️
Freddie is the god of vocals!
@@joannagodfrey5111 Yes, definitely! Can't ever forget about John
@@onkelalma_gaming Absolutely!
No one could play like Queen. NO ONE!!
💯
4:53 It looks like the power of Freddie's voice is moving his sleeve lol. The movement lines up with his vibrato
Teddy Snyder hahahaha very curious eye! :)
Pumping vocals 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
He used his whole body when he sang -
But it is really so. The sleeve mooves becouse of his voice and breath
great power in his incredible voice and body haha what note he hits?
4:46 - 5:00 Freddie's vocals are INSANEEEE
A master class in playing live music. Real musicians. There will never be a better band than these guys 👍
You said it Willie!
Agree with you
Go Johnny Go ! 😀😀😀

Look at Fred's eyes...so beautiful!!
@Laura Mounier wholeheartedly agree!!🤩
Meadowlark music my grandmother always said Freddie had the most beautiful eyes too.
He was so beautiful and sexy !
Not only the Eyes 😍😍💓💓💋🎶😜🎗️🎤🌈💋💋💋💋
Rocks greatest singer ever, period.

André Verhage musicus/songwriter/rock and roller, ummm yes he is.

JetLi, shut up if you do research he has 4 or 2 idk extra teeth, that makes him have a higher vocal range. P.S. Shut up.

That was the coolest thing when Freddie and Brian started running around.
Brian going up and down the stairs without stopping his guitar playing!!!
ikr
that's why i love them!
especially bri 😂
Queen and metal gear? I like your style
Yeah! Rock it! Go Johnny Go!
@@kate_5668 He really laid down some nice riffs in this song- instead of holding back.
This proves his immense capability to improvise upon something which was already exceptional.
This version is just orgasmic

YEESSS
I wish you were here Freddie!! I still love you!!!!
It's been 24 hrs and this is all I've been singing and watching all day & night. One of their greatest performances EVER!!!!!
Vinnie Moran me too I’m on a queen binge!!
You can say that about a lot of thier performances that night.
Brian and Freddie- best version of this song over all the years..( live at Wembley, 86)

I love the way Freddie danced
Me too!! He looked like he absolutely loved where and what he was doing at that moment!! Nothing but love for Freddie and Queen..♡
Never seen anyone running around with a microphone stand.
Legend!
That's not a microphone stand, that's half of a microphone stand, the legendary queen prop😊😊
I read in one of the books about Freddie that he referred to it as his c*ck. ha
Elvis was doing it back in the 50s
Am I the only one because I have always believe they sound better live. It’s just so spectacular
Yes they do
yes they sound amazing live... just bought their live at Wembley CD... quiet expensive .. but worth it
