    Course careers is probably a better course especially for the price point. 450 with a guaranteed job at the end and you’ll master the front end of the sales process. You could go to WGU and get a whole IT degree with multiple industry standard certifications for the price of Careerist in one semester too if you really put in work.

      I've heard a lot of great things about WGU too. If you're looking to get your foot in the door with an SDR or BDR role, I would definitely recommend Course Careers as a strong option. However, keep in mind that there are other options available for becoming a Sales Engineer that aren't Careerist.

      @@goatf0rm to be concise completing a cert like aws solutions architect (usually post sales or hybrid pre and post sales consultant), learning how to demo and networking can get you an entry level sales engineer job if they like you and you fit into the culture because you’ll learn everything on the job anyways.
      The 3500 degree is enough to check the boxes at most start up to midsize companies, careerist bootcamp is iffy but I know hubspot (which is basically a tier 2 company under FAANG) has hired some people I’ve spoken with that have only a careerist background. The sales process isn’t that difficult to learn on your own though. Careerist is sketchy due to all the fake reviews with fake LinkedIn accounts and the faking of experience… Its not the most comprehensive program, but there aren’t many, the only other I’ve heard of was presales collective (4 week 2500 program) it seemed pretty legit but not widely spoken about .. But studying the technology you’re interested in and getting a cert just to prove you have the capacity to learn and coupling that in with a presales book or 2, with one encompassing spin sells in it would probably give a person a more comprehensive load in way less time. Networking (is mandatory) with actual people in companies you want to work in with the presales engineers, AE, ofc hiring managers, to learn how to tailor your resume, practice mock interviews etc. I only mentioned course careers because I’ve networked with a girl whom in 2 weeks finished it and became a pre sales consult in the same month. And she was just trying to become an SDR with a 60k base… But it was due to that company actually having partnerships that she was introduced to someone who saw her scores and listened to her calls and reached out himself to make the contact for SE. Never did it myself but I saw the curriculum seemed standard. But in the end none of it is needed, just different routes. I don’t like careerist business practices and the way it’s marketed through bigger influencers whom a lot (such as Cyrus) made most of their money “in tech” by being an affiliate of the program not the actual role they wanted. And for the price it’s BS they need to get partners so they can charge the business more and the job seeker less. Maybe offer a real internship with a partner company who can then hire you. At that point they can vet the job seekers as there would be a larger influx and stop committing fraudulent activity with the reviews and provide real statistics of outcomes with the data to prove it .

      Yes. The most important part of the journey is the job search, application, networking grind. They have a system that assists with this but you can't rely on it as the only way to get a position.

      The careerist internship was with Careerist. They said it was different in the past (outside companies)and it may be different now, but that was my experience.
