Upon further investigation, I believe that the kiddie ride featured at 4:52 was not called Looper. Looper is the name of a different type of flat ride, and I don't think this was the name of that specific ride. The kids' bumper boats may have been called "Lil' Sneak". The Showtime Theater is known to have existed in 1994. In a video of Waldameer from 1961, there appears to have been a small car ride at the park. It also seems to show a kiddie ride much the same as the ones still there today, but its cars are fire trucks. My wording of the Bumper Boats removal makes it sound like Ravine Flyer 3 opened in 1999. It did not. It opened in 2000. Spider will be defunct after the end of the 2024 season. Paratrooper will also temporarily be gone.
Excellent first video!! Loved hearing your input on the defunct attraction and some of them such as the Snake Pit I didn't know myself. Good use of pictures and clean audio as well. Would love to see more!!
Great video i really appreciate you taking the time. It is fantastic for someone to be so passionate about a local amusement park that has been around so long. It was very impressive showing and describing of the older attractions, rides and park offerings. It is not easy to find the information and especially photos. I found a picture of the figure 8 last year on an unused post card and was surprised i was able to.
Thank you so much for this comprehensive video! Waldameer is my home-park, and I’ve always been super interested in the history of the park, but the in-depth information is very scattered- so I truly appreciate this video a lot! I believe my late step-grandfather worked the “Looper” when he was in high school. He told me Paul Nelson (the later owner) would ride on it a lot (he was a few years younger)- He also told me about the monkeys escaping their little habitat area all the time, hahaha
i love small little facts about theme parks, epically waldameer! (waldameer is something i researched alot) now i have more random facts to tell everyone i know! thank you! :D

Looper I believe was either a eyerly or a chance flat model, I could be wrong but there’s one at knoebels.
RIP the spider. That thing always freaked me out
@@KreativeKerri I'll miss it personally, as it looked so pretty at night when it was lit up.
@@KreativeKerri I always felt like I was sliding out of the seat.
NOOOO I LOVED THE SPIDER :(

Man, I really miss Mill Run. Wish they would have kept this.
Good job.

i remember my dad talking about the bump
This is pretty cool. I grew up in the late 70's and 80's at Waldameer Park.

Idk if it was justba small group of us, but we called the bump the kangaroo. I loved it, but its so bad for your spine.
Sounds about right, considering a ride of the same model operates at nearby Kennywood under the name Kangaroo! It's such a great ride.
What about Black Hole/Midnight Plunge? It was a waterslide.
@@shiju333 Midnight Plunge still exists, it's just been renamed as Liquid Lightning!
@@purple_shad0wz I thought so while watching videos of Waldameer! Thanks for the confirmed.
I can not say how much I am thankful for this video you are great youtuber
Thank you for the info about Waldameer I did not know. Also thank you for not putting in bullshit stock photos that are so common either other videos
