Solo COX Vs TOA? Which Should You Do?

- Hello everyone! Today I do a small dive into which Raid is better in terms of GP per hour and overall feel. It's been quite awhile since I have been to the Tombs as COX has a death grip on me right now... so I figured this should be pretty Interesting to check out.

It really just all depends on what raid you enjoy more and are better at.
Maxeff toa's (38min 540's assumed here) are about 20m/hr
Maxeff solo cox (17min 32k) is about 13.5m/hr
Cox has more potential to increase gp/hr above those rates by dps alts or scaling. (huge scales with dps alts can surpass 30m/hr )
But the most important thing about any raids grinding is enjoying yourself and not getting burned out. So don't overthink it and do whatever you find yourself enjoying the most.
In terms of enjoyment:
ToB > CM > HMT > CoX >>>>>>>>>> ToA

Great video! I think I totally agree. While cox has potential for some big money items, purples feel so uncommon there, while at Toa, I pull a purple light pretty often in comparison. I think something you could have gone over more is specifically the rate for the Tbow and Shadow at each raid. Normal Cox Tbow rate is around 1 in 1kish raids, but 300 invo Toa Shadow rate is only around 1 in 480ish raids. So, the fact that toa makes less money on average is made up for by that feeling of playing the lottery and possibly walking away with 1B+

no path invos increase purple chance? how so?

Sorry, I may have misspoke in the video, but adding path invos *does* increase purple odds. At least according to the osrs Tombs of Amascut Loot calculator. If we plug in a raid level 300, 1 team size, no path invocations, while walk the path is active, we get a 4.2476% chance of getting a purple drop. If we keep everything the same, but turn on pathseeker under the path invocations, the purple chance is now 4.3291%. 4.3993% with pathfinder turned on, and 4.4709% with pathmaster on. Hopefully that helps!
@@SignedNick ah yes that makes more sence, as I was always under the impression path invos directly increase enemy hit points, therefor more points. Thanks for all the calculations and correction 🤘

I love cox
if u wanna make GP at COX, u pot heavily scaled raids. Max eff 1+22 without out dps alts(feeding pet chance to main) is about 28mil/hr. Takes about 2hrs for 60-61% purp chance.
Potting CM/Solo, or 1+1 is more or less a waste of time if youre looking to make gp at cox.
Can you share any discords/videos with info on how to do these megascales?
Only problem I have with toa is the purples are worthless unless u get a shadow
Everybody knows 400 toa is the winner of all raids, and whoever says the opposite, dies on babas gap
I like 500s but I feel you dog. Toa gets a lot of undeserved hate

@@chukareci can solo 500+ extremely consistently solo and get over a 15% purple chance…. which is more than 50% more purple chance than a 400. Eventually the 400s starting feeling like 300s and a waste of time

i had to make this choice a few weeks ago and its chambers all day for me, the value of drops says enough.
what value? my 500+ invo raids that i can complete blindfolded are over 15% purple chance SOLO
@@moo_im_a_cow if u can do a 500 solo "blindfolded" surely you can google the reward chest for both raids and see that COX loot is worth way more than TOA loot currently which is what my comment was referring to.
@@moo_im_a_cow if you're still actually mid-late game gear progressing and havent already spent the large time investment necessary to learn each niche method necessary to get through 500+ comfortably consistently- COX is infinitely more logical to do, much more chill & average drop is 10x more expensive.

Chambers be ready to go on dry streaks unless doing cms
cms is worse then doing regs if purple hunting

solo cm cox is like 62-63k points. idk where in the world u got 55,6k points from. even if u tightrope skip u arent close to that
I would do cox except I cba scouting and learning solo Olm. If I could just preset the layout beforehand and didn't have to do 4:1 to solo Olm then I would do cox.
You can do the die with an inventory of supplies strat. With that you really don't even have to turn the head. Just deal with the special attacks
Just learn 4:0 mage and die with an inventory before dmging olm, main thing to know about olm is his head moves like a scale would if you added weight to one side and none to the other, if he’s ever looking at you try to make sure you get an auto off and then try to get his head to turn away and auto again
but dying means less purples

@@lv99roidmage25 really? I'm pretty experienced at doing solo toa and without hardcore run on you lose like 60% of your points from dying, is that not the case in cox?

I’d call ToA a lot more laid back, you can literally watch a movie while consistently ripping sub 40 500s with some practice, CoX feels a lot more engaging, each raid has it’s place for sure, at least for me

@@bernhnic2 majority of the community isn’t soloing tob lol. Tob is the most fun of the 3 hands down but toa right now is in a good spot since monkey room change. Nylos is a crap room still and it sucks in HMT. Maiden, xarp and Verz are def the most fun bosses of all 3 raids
TOA is better because I actually managed to make money there 😛

I have way more fun with ToA's movement mechanics overall.
CoX solo isn't very fun, but it's incredibly chill (sometimes boring and repetitive, tho) unless you're going for CM times
CoX in groups can be fun because there are more team mechanics and you can die and rejoin the fight as much as you want
