An interesting port of Half-Life where there is no chapter select for the main game, there is an auto aim feature, there is a quick save and quick load but you have to make sure you do it often otherwise you might die and have to do a big portion of the game again and don't confuse it with saving to a memory card because once you turn off the console the quicksave is gone.
This is the only version of Half-Life that comes with decay, a coop based campaign that takes place at the same time as the main game that can either be played with 2 players in splitscreen mode or solo by switching characters every so often to keep progressing, the character that you don't control will just stand there but if any enemies show up they will automatically attack so they aren't completely useless but they tend to waste good ammo like grenades and magnum rounds on weaker enemies

Nostalgia and childhood. These were the days, man. Late 90s were such a grand time for video games. I was a little kid, when all of this was brand new. 😇

I must admit that the first half life game maybe retro in today's standards but it's interesting to say the least at least to me anyway I found half life #2 but it's not a ps2 version of the game so I couldn't take it out for a test drive to find out myself how it came out😥☀️

This original PS2 version of Decay is much better than the PC version. The PC version sucks.

@@AgusTTBluei’ve played through it a few times, and i’ve noticed that some of the maps are a little broken in regards to scripted sequences and pathfinding. NPCs can freeze and soft-lock the game if you so much as bump into them. it’s most notable in ‘Domestic Violence,’ where the Barney will just stand in place if you block his path even momentarily
to be fair though, the mod team did have to remake all of the maps from scratch-none of the more robust decompilation programs or Worldcraft source files we have now existed back then.

@@xyzlojones264 Yeah I had already noticed that some maps were altered in the mod. Luckily they made a new version "v1.02" with some improvements and the maps are now more faithful to PS2.

they always have a slow start but once things get started it is a great series
