I just get my mx6 I was very excited about this radio when I saw it my Dumbo RC radio was giving some problems so I decided to get a new radio however when I first take it from the package I was a little disappointed I was hoping for a better quality radio 1 the plastic could be of a better quality 2 a light for the screen would be nice too I think for a company that give us one of the best high-end radio on the market I was looking for much better quality radio.
This looks like a decent step up or refresh from MX-V (we have 2)... I think Sanwa has kinda messed up though with not making higher end radios compatible with the entry level recievers. We would be much more inclined to upgrade to a higher end Sanwa if we could keep the current recievers for our non-race models, or if there was a cheap reciever option for vehicles that don't need the super fast response... I'm currently looking to get my son a new radio, and wish there was currently a radio between the $100 and $400 options... lack of that has me considering other brands...like the 4PM or even Spektrum... the MT-5 has some plusses AND minises... but I'm not sure if I want to shell out $400 and then $100 per Rx.
Totally agree with you, I had an older MT-4S that worked with the MX-V receiver, then they updated the radio and it no longer was supported. MT-5 not being able to even do FH-4T is totally ridiculous IMO, else I would buy one. I have 7-8 FH-4T receivers that won't even work with it!?!?!
Once again nice video Razer RC, since it only supports it's own cheap receiver this is why I never bought the MX-V , to me I would never go below an MT-S , yes it's more expensive but you get more.Even an old MT-4 not the MT-4S is way better than this since it support all these receivers signal FH2/FH3/FH4T .
Even though I own an M12S , I still love my MT-4S , I paired with my Tekno MT-410 and it's amazing . The trigger and wheel is really good compared to any other Spektrum radios that I have tried at the track (DX4R PRO or any DX3 ) Maybe the newer ones are better but I invested way too much in Sanwa/Airtronics to change any time soon. Maybe one day I will see you make a video for an M17
It's still an awesome remote for the price , I still use mine to control my Tekno MT410 and I love it. Great adjustments (like trigger angles, tension for both trigger and wheel) the fact that it use the same packs that my M12s is using is also a big plus. It's also light compared to my M12S. Overall if you can still find one and the price is good I would still buy it. I love the MT4S so much that I have brand new one never been used in my shed for backup or a future plan for my nephews, and one last thing it's SUPER reliable. So far I am truly impressed with my Sanwa remotes. not one single glitch or bug and I have use them inside a big Arena with antenna less receivers.
@@RazorRC i got the mt4s lomited edition piano black for 195 dollar ex display! I wonder if the mt4s limited edition suoport fhss 2 for the older receiver
It doesn't appear to be backwards compatible with my other FHSS receivers... so what's the point? :( I wanted this as a 2nd transmitter for my kids when they want to run my cars. I.e. - so I can run one of my cars and the kid can run my other car at the same time so we can race against each other.
Looks like they corrected that display issue. I see a lot of the more recent ones here on RUclips lined up straight. Maybe Sanwa took a look at this review lol.
Yes Razor, did u ever feel disconnected whilst using this, would it be better than the spektrum stx2, 🤔 thanks for the show defo a great watch and listen🎩
@@RazorRC wow I never heard your reply come in I was trying to set it up as I got him😁 but he's all bound up and works but his fail safe is not nor does he blink blue as per manual🤯🤯 could u help me pls, I'm binding like the manual says to a kraton v4 6s, all stock, do u have any input 🎩🎩 Thank you Razor
I tell u what tho Razor, for the short hard starts I've had I definitely feel more in tune, this is a blast, absolutely better than the rtr arrma kraton, OMD I'm tell you ng u loose the rtrs wheel and upgrade b4 even 1st drive, you'll like your car even more🎩🎩🎩™️
So in your opinion, is the DX5c still the way to go? I was really hoping this Sanwa would impress but it just doesn't sound like the right choice. I wanted the 3pv but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. I bought a DX5C for my Tekno and it had issues from the beginning so I was able to return it. Just built an RC8T3.1 so I'm pretty much waiting on your answer to complete this build. Thanks in advance.
I’ve watched your transmitter review videos. It’s been a while. If you had to make a quick choice today between this one or the Futaba 3pv which would you grab?
Question? If I may. Old school stuff here. I have a futaba tx6as transmitter with a FP-R127DF dual conversion receiver. Tx works perfectly. I also have a sanwa vanguard 6 channel FM not pcm tx with a 92765/72 band FM not pcm receiver. Can the sanwa be used with the futaba receiver?
STEVO D 313 , what's the best radio system and receiver for around 40 pounds or in dollars, don't want to spend alot, have you got any links. Cheers brother 👍😁👍
Hello, when you discuss the speed of the radio you mentioned that it is not particularly quick compared to Futaba for example. Is there a measure of how quick it reacts? Can you compare the Sanwa to something cheaper like the FS-GT3C from Flysky. Does the FS lag behind?
What are those feautures that is missing or is only on higher end systems? What do they do? I bought an MX-V last year, I am just a "basher" so to say, I just wanted a new radio for my old RC cars. With old I mean that I had Sanwa Dash Saber stick radios on a couple and old type Sanwa servos with the different wiring.. So naturally, that MX-V is super full of features for me. So except faster speed, wich I do understand, but what other feautures do you need and actually use on those high end systems? Do many use them, do they run faster? Or are they just adjusting end points and that`s it? Value for money it seems hard to beat the entry level ones, but to be fair, if coolnes factor is one of the pro-arguments, that`s good enough reason for me.. Hehe.. :D I have lots`o stuff that I do not need, but have anyway.. But, what are those features I am missing? I also have an Kyosho Syncro that I got with my FO-XX, to me, even that one seems pretty nice. I have of course never used an high end one though, so I cannot compare to too much.
OK, thanks. Here the 3PV with non-telemetry receiver costs 159$ The MX-6 is 106$ The Futaba 3PRK is the cheapest Futaba at 98$, And if you want telemetry in the 3PV, according to the instructions, you need another receiver R304SB (+60-75$), and it says you can use only Futaba Digital & BLS servos, that is probably not true though. The 3PV with telemtry here would end up at 230$+/- And Sanwa MT-S is 230$. So atleast here the Futaba is much more expensive than Sanwa. In this one store atleast. I have grown up with Sanwa so I prefer that "just because" and they make good or maybe the best joystick/arcade parts. I guess some of the extra features could be nice for a few special occasions or type of cars though. And the cool factor is always an bonus.

just P. X much better than the STX2, but not as good as the Futaba and Spektrum

If I put this in my slash 4x4 could I keep the stability function?

Waterproof??¿?
The fh-3 has a better communication system then the fhss-2 does so they say lol
hi, this radio has fail safe???
No it does not! I have had run-aways!
If you buy the set with the RX-391W receiver it has a fail safe for the throttle.
What’s range on it ?
