If the panel could be replicated as a 3D printed part in PLA, I'd buy one and assemble the step down and wiring to go this route. Thanks for your share and input.
Nice…I’m looking into getting this A/C / cooler thing, still doing more reviews. I have several battery platforms to do this with including Ryobi so this is very helpful!
A better idea with a lot less work. Just wire the adapter to a DC barrel connector and no need to mess with the original housing. However. It also works on 18-20v so you don't even need the step down. A 20v dewalt battery just works with zero modification. You also have some lost energy from the step down.

So far I have run it 2 hours with no signs of it overheating. It gets a little warm, but nothing too bad.

Not sure yet, but so far I ran it 2 hours strait and it only used up 2 bars on a 4AH Ryobi battery.
