You can get to that latch by just pulling down the plastic finder and reach your hand up to that latch without removing anything. I had the same issue. The plastic will give enough to get your hand and arm up to the latch.
True, but what if you have hands that are so big that it makes it hard to pick you nose? 😆🤣🤣🤣

Getting that Volvo back together after running new cables and wires all through the dash looks like no fun

I wouldnt be able to put the dash back together id even have extra screws after its done. Where do those go? uh oh haha

My driver’s side cable broke and I was able to use a long screwdriver behind the edge of the hood near the driver’s side door. Then I just zip-tied that latch in the open position and only using the right side to lock until I have time to do it right. Do you have a video of the steps to open the dash to reach the cables? It looks pretty daunting. 😒

Seems those volvos are nothing but trouble. Pleased I'm driving a scania. Trouble free trucking for nearly 7 years 🇬🇧🚛
A lot of it is yearly service stuff, but they do have certain issues
Being on salary the boss will dump as much work on you as possible thats the bad part of being paid like that. It is never in the workers favor.

Just wondering- aren’t these 8XX numbered tractors fairly new? If so, why isn’t Volvo doing the repairs under warranty? I understand not all of what you are doing is Volvo’s fault, but some of it sure seems to be.
He has taken trucks in for warranty work and it just doesn’t get fixed right, plus then losing loads and drivers sitting. Found it easier to fix when drivers are home
Big hands, better hugs. The wives tales about it being an indication to your "prowess" is just that.. a tale. Your thumb does a better job at measuring it.. 2 thumbs long is about right. lol!!!!! Not that us women needed to know.. lmfao!!!
