Cool. Just nice to know a lotta good characters (retro simpsons too) are 1 and done, so you gotta dig for it (books are even more obscure, but you can get ideas about authors by region too).
It's a shame that the Koopa Kid disappeared after Mario Party 7 and Advance. They were a fundamental piece in the Mario Party saga and when I was able to play Mario Party 2, 3, 4 and 5 I accepted them very well. Yes, they may have been replaced by Bowser Jr, but it just doesn't feel the same anymore. Where this is most noticeable is not in the board remasters in Superstars, but in the remaster of The Final Battle! (MP4) in The Top 100. It's a shame not to see them there, and not even an honorable mention. Without a doubt, RIP Koopa Kid 1998 - 2005, you have been enemies that I will never forget and, Mario Party fans, speaking for everyone, we will never forget.
Everyone should check out Carlito, a RUclipsr who’s covered all the rosters of Mario Spinoff games to determine who stays and who gets phased out. Very fun watch.
At least some of these characters have escaped the Purgatory Nintendo Left them in. Spiky Eared Pichu is one of Pichu's costumes in Smash Ultimate, Captain Syrup is referenced by Gulivarr in Animal Crossing New Horizons (And Guliver can reference the Wind Fish from Link's Awakening), Tatanga is brought up in Palutena's Guidance for Daisy in Smash Ultimate (it's one of the funnier ones IMO), and Vaati was ROBBED for Hyrule Warriors. We could've had the coolest non-Ganon villain as a playable character, but we got fucking YUGA
Good video! Man, when I first played Star Fox Adventures, I remember being extremely disappointed when the General Scales "boss fight" turned into a cutscene. Apparently, Star Fox Adventures had a lot of cut content and an actual General Scales boss fight was one of them! 😭
The whole GAME was cut content given what happened to the original Dinosaur planet. THough Kev Bayliss did draw some concept art recently showing what Dinosaur Planet probably would've looked like if they made it today, including updated artwork of Krystal that looks absolutely gorgeous (Standing in front of a Pterodactyle in a fitting outfit, as in the original I think she just wore northern style exploration gear but he kept the tribal motif with her resembling a central American princess). He also confirmed she is an Arctic fox and her blue coloring was just a stylization of her being from a colder region. THere is this fan game that was recently made that kind of attempts to tell a more proper Star fox Adventures story, but sadly, long as Nintendo owns the Starfox IP, it's unlikely we'll see those devs cook unless they want another one. The creator of Fox even said in a tweet "I'd be happy to bring Krystal back if Nintendo would let us make another game." Sadly, I think Starfox Zero didn't do as well as they expected, and I'm not sure about them finally finishing Starfox 2.
Currently in Stage 1, Denial of Vaati not returning. Getting fumed that he isn’t in Hyrule Warriors is completely justified by the way. Miss ya Blue Bowser. I’ll never understand why you look like normal Bowser in All Stars. It’s in your f**king name

I'm seeing a lot of people lament Chunky Kong's absence, but what about DK Jr? Despite debuting in his own arcade game, he hasn't been seen outside of arguable cameos since Mario Tennis for N64! That's 25 years now!! Before you ask, current DK is established as Cranky's grandson in DKC1. DK 64 does call him his son but since that's a sequel to DKC3 (and Wrinkly dies between the two games) it's undeniably the same DK from the Country games. Jr is still missing...
Still holding out hope that Megan (the main character of Maximum Velocity and pilot of the Hot Violet) will make it into the next Smash game as an Echo Fighter of Falcon.
I miss Orre. Seeing anything involving Cipher, Shadow Pokemon, or the Ranger series would make my year. I haven’t been thrilled about Pokemon during the Switch era compared to DS when it was peak.
I like how despite never returning in another game, Scales, Miyu and Fay are liked by the Star Fox fanbase. Ps: The worst part about General Scales is that he was supposed to have a proper boss fight. Fox and Falco even have unused voice lines, as the latter was supposed to help the former during the fight. Pss: Algy, from Star Fox 2, is in the exact same boat as Miyu and Fay, the only difference is that he's the fourth Star Wolf member. Sounds familiar, right? Miyu and Fay got replaced by Katt Monroe and Bill Grey respectively. Psss: Dash Bowman, Andross' grandson from Star Fox Command, is physically based on Algy.
Orcos was a much better villain than Medusa in the og Kid Icarus, too bad he and the game where he appears were not originally released in Japan and are not part of the Kid Icarus canon.
Vaati seems like he could have become entrenched if things had gone a little further. Captain Syrup is just a victim of the abandonment of Wario Land, she doesn't really fit anywhere else. (Though I suppose in theory she could have been made a rival business owner in WarioWare or something...)
Some are reasonable. Vaati's long dead and buried, Panel de Pon was never released outside of Japan (technically), Scales was rendered obsolete and the Super team could look quite jarring to younger players. Some are just unreasonable, though. How could they ditch Bowser's brother?
Oh, the memories of the Super Team being rather difficult when I first played Super Mario Strikers and being demoted to maintenance and janitorial work had me laughing so hard when I first saw the Mario Strikers Charged credits.
Heavy mole stood out to me as a kid. Back then, it was clear to me that HM wasn't even fighting Kirby. They just wanted to destroy the environment, and that was it
The last time I've seen Captain Syrup after Wario Land: The Shake Dimension was later in a mod for Super Smash Bros Crusade as playable fighter. I really really hope she returns in a new Wario Land game just like Pauline did from Donkey Kong Arcade later in Super Mario's Odyssey.
vaati should have been part of brawl in addition to toon link. they put ezlo in as a sticker, so why no vaati even as a trophy? and when he is seen, it's only as a spirit, which has none of the same hype as a trophy.

(Read this if you count Non-game characters part of the forgotten game character list or not) You forgot almost every character from Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Most of them appeared in one episode and never again, but don’t lose hope because some reappeared in later Kirby games
Bowser jr: I have an uncle?
Bowser: You HAD an uncle
Cool. Just nice to know a lotta good characters (retro simpsons too) are 1 and done, so you gotta dig for it (books are even more obscure, but you can get ideas about authors by region too).
Still waiting to find out what happened to Count Bleck (Blumiere) and Tippi
They always appear on Fanfictions and therefore they are not completely gone.
I miss Panel De Pon so much. It's a pipe dream to get the OG localized....
Speaking about what is truly gone and will never come back, in terms of Japanese media anyway, is the DIC, Cloverway, and Pioneer dubs of Sailor Moon.
3:02 Me: Sees Fay
Also Me: Dies of cuteness
Nintendo refuses to acknowledge them.
6:24 Kid Icarus mention. Approved. *slams stamp unto paper, approving the use of the like button* (Plz Nintendo, we need Pit and the gang to come back one way or another. I NEEEEED IIIIIT!)
Mirror B needs to make a comeback. He’s one of the best characters in Colosseum and XD in my opinion.
Man really wish Koopa Kid stayed. Loved playing as him in 5&6 wish he was playable in 7 my favorite of the GameCube Mario Parties.
I wouldn’t say all of these are totally forgotten. Spiky-Eared Pichu is in Smash Bros, Chunky Kong made a cameo in the Mario movie, and Heavy Mole has a keychain in Kirby Triple Deluxe.
Bowser Jr: Huh? Dad you never told me I had an uncle!
Bowser: We don’t Junior… not anymore
Some of these will definitely appear again. Some are tied to getting a new entry in the franchise, like that Warioland chick (though I do know that it's been like 16 years since the last entry in the franchise).
Can't believe that they told the Super team to put the fries in the bag
At least Easter Eggs will save the day
I think bowsers brother is reincarnated as Dry Bowser.

I always thought Jr was the current Donkey Kong's Father?
@richardadamson1438 That's the current understanding. Still what's Jr doing?
Nintendo reveals it's only fan theory, however it might returns the future after long absents.
Nintendo need to give these forgotten characters another chance to returned!
I miss Koopa Kid. 😢
Kid Icarus 2 was never released and forgotten about in Japan. As far as anyone's concerned, it's not canon in Japanese media
0:24 I really miss that character 🥺
You do know that Chunky Kong came back anyway in The Super Mario Bros Movie?
Oh
Did you know koopa kid was only exclusive to the Mario party series?
CURSE YOU BOWSER JR....
Koopa kid you will be missed
Orcos was a much better villain than Medusa in the og Kid Icarus, too bad he and the game where he appears were not originally released in Japan and are not part of the Kid Icarus canon.
Vaati seems like he could have become entrenched if things had gone a little further. Captain Syrup is just a victim of the abandonment of Wario Land, she doesn't really fit anywhere else. (Though I suppose in theory she could have been made a rival business owner in WarioWare or something...)
I think Mario Kart 9 is the perfect chance for Nintendo to rescue these characters from garbage
This also happens to Donkey Kong Jr. too.
I’ll tell you the reason why Bowser’s Brother never appeared after a single game: HE WAS F***ING RETCONNED SINCE 2014!!!
7:01 he reminds me of the carnival night zone miniboss from sonic 3k
I noticed some of the footage you showed like F-zero and Zelda games were pretty smooth like its frame rate was changed, how'd you do that?
Heavy mole stood out to me as a kid. Back then, it was clear to me that HM wasn't even fighting Kirby. They just wanted to destroy the environment, and that was it
5:54 Nintendo Unity calls him Koopa Kid, Bowser calls him Baby Bowser
He was called Koopa Kid in the GameCube era.
Miyu reminded me of Fara Phoenix (a fennec fox) from the Nintendo Power Star Fox comics. I think that was intended to be her.
True. But when it comes to backstory, Fara probably inspired Fay's.
Please Mirror B come back, they've released a pokemon for you : its called Quaquaval
You can add the entire cast of Punch Out (sans Little Mac of course) to this list if recent news is true.
What news?
Ditto Bunny5-0-1
Funny, I played Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters on the 3DS Virtual Console and couldn't remember who the final boss was.
I mean..Chunky got a cameo in the new Mario Bros Movie with a lot of the other Kongs. So that's certainly something.
vaati should have been part of brawl in addition to toon link. they put ezlo in as a sticker, so why no vaati even as a trophy? and when he is seen, it's only as a spirit, which has none of the same hype as a trophy.
Tatanga and Syrup deserve better
what happened to toadsworth?
Oh, I remember Panel de Pon.
Bruh i miss the wario land series along with captain syrup
Not having Mirror B's theme for his entry was a crime! I always loved fighting him for that bop!
1 MINUTE OF SILENCE
