I'm in tropical Barbados in the West Indies. I normally germinate my seeds in a quality germination mix with added pertile or sand mixed with perlite. I think both the climate & soil has great influence on the success of the germination of seeds & the eventual healthy growth of the plant. Love you Channel though. My question to you is with such a wide range of seeds available how do you make a selection I checked out the seed companies you recommended and honesty I'm at a loss to know which to select all of them look great the only ones which might not grow well here in the tropics are the ones which naturally grow at higher altitudes where it's colder.
Im in a lot of different Facebook groups where a lot people are posting about how they grow, how the taste is, from where they are… but for me the moste important thing is, they have at least taste good.
@@ThomasTropicalFruits you're lucky to have access to tasting these exotic fruits here in Barbados we don't have such a wide selection of exotic fruits to taste. Also people's individual taste may differ from your own so it's a gamble making your seed purchase sometimes but I guess that's all part of the fun.
@@geriannroth449 i never tasted the moste of my collected fruit plants. If you want plants for a future buissnes i think this random collected rare fruits its a gambel. if i would collect for a buissnes i would go with durian, mangosteen, rambutan, pulasan, marang, maprang, salak this are rare very good fruits with a market value
I got flowers from Jaboticabas, Pitangatuba the Eugenia Selloi, Ceder bay Cherry the Eugenia reinwardtiana, Eugenia Uniflora, Annona Cherimoya and Annona Temoylata and Annona Atemoya African Pride, and I got fruits from Jaboticaba and Eugenia uniflora the Surinam cherry

Hello, Thanks for your video, your seedlings box is half full of moss ? No other substrate ?
Yes half full and only moss
i like to grow my plants in air pots that sit on a wire rack for good air flow
I like to grow the more dry loving plants in airpots. For me the others are suffering because they dry out very fast
Hey, what plants have bloomed so far? I'm very curious about that. 🙂

Wow thats sounds great. I wonder how it will look in 3 years in your plants room/jungle. When did you start your plant hobby?
I started 2020. 95% are grown from seeds. I think in some years I have to move to a tropical country 😅😂
