Multi grafted jaboticaba is pushing finally
Multi-grafting a fruit tree involves the process of grafting multiple varieties (or even different species) of fruit onto a single tree to create a tree that produces multiple types of fruit. This technique allows for increased variety in your harvest, maximizes space, and can even help with cross-pollination.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to multi-graft a fruit tree:
1. Choose a Suitable Rootstock
Rootstock Selection: The rootstock is the base of the tree that determines root health, tree size, and disease resistance. Choose a rootstock compatible with the fruit varieties you want to graft.

Amazing work. Congrats. What do you feed them?
Nothing, I try to plant them in really really good soil
Wow 8 varieties on one rootstock is incredible and it looks like they might all take ! Amazing job 👍
Yes it looks like. If fife make it that would be amazing if all 8 make it that would be crazy. Thank you
Hi there, very interesting stuff. How far are the lights from your plants and what are your light schedules, especially when your grafting plinia?
So it depends how strong they are, for my younger plants I’m using leds which have an output of 5000lum and they are more or less 1m away and for the big plants have 12000lum and they are 1,8m away.
@@ThomasTropicalFruits Thanks for the info! I'm trying to graft jaboticaba indoors under led lights because its to cold outside. I think mine are also 12000 lumens any tips will be appreciated.
@brycethebest-yn8ch i grafted a month ago a tree with 8 different typs. 6 of them are now pushing. For me the Moste important thing is to graft on a tree when it’s starts to push new growth, but it Hase to be at the beginning of the bush so all the energy can go in the scion
Hi❤
👋
Sensible choices, I've also had some fruit for me in pots, mostly eugenias and guavas
I think as I sad this species are the best for cultivation in containers
Nice. Thomas you NEED TO RELOCATE to some place WARM😊😊😊
I will. It takes only some time
What seedlings you got there
Different typs of Pouterias, plinias, Annonas, Eugenia’s and Campomanesia
Hey Thomas would you be able to do a video about caring for cerrado plants? I have friends who have struggled with keeping them alive!
Phuuu i can, but it’s also very hard for me. I have some alive
@@ThomasTropicalFruits lol I can tell them not to feel so bad!
@dougs_urbanfarm yes you can 😅 it’s really really hard to hold them alive
You will have to give us a tour of your orchard Thomas. I would be very interested, even though they are temperate fruits.
I will in Spring
@@ThomasTropicalFruits Where do you buy your growing lights?
@danziger9996 i bought them in Amazon. Look for Mars LED. For me they are the best a little bit on the expensive side but for long term and plant health the best
@@ThomasTropicalFruits Can you also hang them in an unheated room behind your house or in a garden shed? Can it handle temperature and humidity fluctuations?
@danziger9996 yes they can. Normally they use this leds to grow the green stuff if you know what I mean 🤣😂
i have plinia red crystal giant , but my ask question is can it produce on tropical climate as temperature as 28 to 34 celsius ? it development excelent on m climate
Of course it can produce in tropical climate. As we know plinias (Jaboticaba) are from the tropical rainforests of Brazil. There are some species that like a little bite more cool or dry climat. But normally the like tropical climat. And if you plant is growing healthy it will flower for sure for you
@@ThomasTropicalFruits thanks you
La ce se foloseste cardamonul ?❤
It’s used as a expensive herb for sweet dishes. It makes a very good taste
@ThomasTropicalFruits Merci ! Salutari prietenesti !
🥰 vous vendez des boutures?
Are you in Europe?
@ThomasTropicalFruits si vous pouvez me l'envoyer en france oui si non en enveloppe a bulle vers la Guadeloupe c'est bien aussi ☺️
@ there are some really good online shops where you could buy seeds. One is from Germany and the other from the USA
@@ThomasTropicalFruits 🤔?
From Germany Exoteninsel.com and from the US Andersontropicals.com. Bought are selling very very high quality seeds
Jaboticaba's are the bomb!! Benyam and I planted about 12 in his and my land... they're doing amazing
Ich have like 60 different species in Austria and 3 in the DR. And I will Bing 10 more the next time I’m going there. Are you still there?
How
That's just random shit in one shit? Everything is wronk
Hahaha 😂😂😂 I have germinated way over 300 tropical fruit species in this way. But it’s seams you are the pro and now everything 👏🏻😂
But how? What about pH?
@axam5642 look the media is spagnum moos. Spagnum moos is has anti fungi properties and a ph of 5,5. nearly all tropical fruit trees need a ph from 5,5-6. only species that are from the costal areas need a higher and that is because of the salt.
Lush & happy😊
Very good info and also inspiring 👏
Thank you 🙏 🌱
That's better.😉
Looks very healthy Thomas. Jackfruit can be very tricky to keep alive indoors, whats your preferred soil mix for them ?
The same mix as I use for the most of my other trees. Peatmoos, perlite, wormcasting and lava rock
@@ThomasTropicalFruits ah the lava rock was what I was missing 👍
If you are interested in my germination video. Please go ahead ⬇️ ruclips.net/video/Voy3vjvHRtE/видео.htmlsi=DeGVPKExdDD0xHKO
What soil you using
Normal potting soil with lava rock
Its delicious even tho the king of fruits smell bad
The first two time I didn’t like ether the smell but now I like it an I love the fruit
This variety plant not available my india
I think there is a collector in India how has a lot of different plants 🌱
Your plant collection video absolutely good iam happy thank you
Great video! What kind of lights are you using? I just moved from California to Minnesota and am going to need to move some of my tropical inside under lights
Im using full spectrum LED from Mars
Nice video Thomas! Amazing with the flowering jackfruit 😍 I am pretty sure the cerrado section need taller pots and ofcourse the 3 months drought. My klotzschiana and campininhas (is it from cerrado?) and p. Nanas are doing great in tall pots and are following their natural growth habit in almost no organic material
Thank you 🙏 Yea I thought about that. The pots are still the starter pots. I will transplant them this week
It's an amazing collection Thomas, I do find the tiny seedlings really struggle indoors for a long time
Yes but for me it’s easyer to germinate them and have them the first months inside because spring time is really unpredictable in Austria. And they would die if they would be outside with a night temp at 0 degrees. So it’s easyer to have them in a more or less controlled environment.
Wow that's alot of babysitting ahead of you😊
Im doing it since four years. 😅 to grow tropical fruits in cold climat you have to baby them the hole time 😂😂
@@ThomasTropicalFruits awww cadears
Epic!!!
Yea, I will make a update video on all my plants.
So fun!!! I want an indoor greenhouse!!
That’s no problem. The only thing I would look for is to collect fruits which can fruit in a pot
what is the most tropical one u have over there ? is that space heated in same way?
The Moste tropical are Mangosteen and durian
I’m going to have to start doing this. Losing a fair few from rot sewing into soil
For me it works best
sir how to germinate ilma seeds please help
I give them for three months in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator to start them. And then I’m planting them
Yeah
Nice but not easy to find seeds in Europe
Exoteninsel.com has the best quality
Hi 👋🏻 how are you wani mango seedlings doing ? any new update coming up ?
Hey they died at the end of the sommer, we had a lot of rain and colder nights (15 degree) and I think that was too much for them
@@ThomasTropicalFruits oh sorry to hear that, it always hurts when some especially tropical plants die, it happened to us with caimito, lúcuma or banango are you gonna try to grow them again ?
@tresatlantes where do you live?
@@ThomasTropicalFruits Tenerife - Canary Islands
Ooo cooooool, I think Caimito and lucuma is very tropical. But mango should grow
Excellent
Very interesting video! I was wondering what soil you use when you transplant the seeds? Thanks :)
I transplant them in peat moss mixed with perlite and some Lavamulch
@@ThomasTropicalFruits Thank you so much for your quick response :)
@krazygweilofrancais9003 🌱🪴
@krazygweilofrancais9003 i will make a new updated video how I germinate my fruit seeds
@@ThomasTropicalFruits Nice, it's super interesting, thanks :)
Have you tried electroculture?
No never? Can you explain it to me?

Good 🎶
Wish you luck
How do they taste?
Like a Annona squamiflora maybe not that sweet
Your collection is great
Hii Thomas....Do you have zyzygium jiewhoei?????
I could buy two seeds. They are on the way to Austria
@@ThomasTropicalFruits seriously???? That plant come from my country.... Indonesia......
