so if i didnt buy a new belt tentioner. and if the one i have on there is good. can i still use it with out buying a new belt tentioner. cause i bought me a new serpertine belt for my 2000 ford ranger xlt 4x4 3.0L. so yeah please let me know what you think? thanks

i have a 2000 ranger xlt and it looks very similar to whats under my hood. i don't need to change the tensioner just temporarily move it off the AC motor so i can drive it to our family mechanic to fix the AC motor. would this video be relevant to my situation? HELP!!

I have 203 ford ranger 3.0 engine I hear a cherp it goes a-way when the engine heats up I know for shure I need a serpenten belt my power stearing whines a little but not too bad but I really don't think that pulley is it should I try only the belt first . I can use a crow bar pull back and just slid the belt on right . the pulley wont lock up and break my new belt it will just make noise right? shoul I try that?.

I own a 2002 Ford Ranger (EDGE) went to a local jiffy lube for oil service, they suggested I change out my serpentine belt, u recommended in this Visio the tensioner and idle poly do u recommend I change all that out too? Also what brand should I purchase???

Hey bro, at 1:55 you have the wrench at the wrong place to release the tensioner. It has to go down into the 3/8" square hole, not on the nut.

+J Logan Hi, thanks for your reply. Now that I see your new part, I believe we have different tensioner models. Mine has the 3/8" square hole, which releases the tension so you can remove the belt, but yours doesn't have that.
