    This is interesting. I have 3 aunts that are from Thailand and they always thought me to make Thai tea. If you want fast Thai tea then a moca pot or something like that will work best but the best was is boiling it in a pot turn off the stove and letting it sit over night then you strain it in a sock/cloth strainer and it’s sooooo much better like that.
    Then you just save it in the fridge and when your ready to make it bam the tea is ready just mix it up with boba ice your choice of milk mine is half & half add sugar and enjoy.

    This is great! I just came back from Thailand after enjoying delicious Thai tea every day for two months. Saw both the pour-over and the Espresso machine way there and was concluding that the Moka pot might work, too. And here it is, the perfect comparison, so I didn't have to do the same! Thank you, internet, thank you :D

    Huge fan of Thai tea, so this is perfect for me! Never realized how much ice the Thai like, I feel like you don't actually get too much actual tea even in a large cup, I always get no/little ice whenever I order a drink

      @@rizasri Ahh yeah that makes sense. I live in Australia, and I can’t stand hot drinks. The boba places here put the tea and ice in a shaker to cool down the drink before pouring it in the cup, and then they add ice afterwards, so the flavor might be compromised when the ice melts.
      I love my drinks ice cold, but I don’t want the ice to take up space from my drink. Sometimes when I DIY my Thai tea, I freeze up some Thai tea ice cubes so it doesn’t dilute the flavor

      The aim is 24oz final product for iced Thai tea or regular sweet tea. That’s why the right way to get it done. Is by pouring the tea while its still piping hot to the cup. So the melted ice become the water for dilution.

      Hello, the tea socks are called tea socks or cloth filter or filter bag. Stainless steel tea strainer won't filter the Thai tea finings but you can let any resulting sediments settle at the bottom and pour out carefully discarding the sediments in the end.

    I have noticed that in your other thai milk tea video you only put in sugar milk syrup but in this one you are also using sugar syrup?
    Also the grass jelly, is it unsweetened or did you sweetened it with syrup just like with tapioca pearls?

    • @rizasri
      @rizasri  3 года назад

      Hello, Sugar syrup is optional when using milk syrup. The recipe changes with the brewing method, the brand of milk etc. Try with sugar syrup and without and see which one you prefer. Check this out too. ruclips.net/video/EmDhoaz-Kmk/видео.html just to confuse you more! :-)

    I have an espresso machine but i fear this might ruin it as it wasnt designed for tea leaves. Or it might compromise the quality of both with switching between coffee and tea leaves.
