Usually, what helps me relax is a simple breathing exercise.
Slowly inhale for at least 4 seconds through the nose, slowly exhale for at least 4 seconds through the mouth, repeat.
It helps to do it with my eyes closed.
Also, pot. Lots of it.
Not me watching this with tinnitus 😂 and with anxiety 😂
Drawing helps me to relax. I also like to listen to calm music while doing it which lets my thoughts flow.
This is like at work when the machine isn't working and people tell me ke to "just to yoga" lol

I'm glad that Ncuti Gatwa is very mental health focused and that the show also explored that last year. Hope we get a further look into the Doctor's mental state and possibly examples of healthy self care in the show.

I remember when Doctor Who was smart, intelligent and a little bit funny but mostly serious when it came to sending a message. You would think about an episode or a story arc and then it would click…
Now everything has to be explained as the story unfolds. It’s like they have dumbed down DW for the masses.
It’s been this way for a few years.

"The show has been dumbed down for the masses! They just don't have a high enough IQ to understand a genius political commentary present in aliens of London! when was that????? This is a show where the main character morally grandstands the minutes he sees a gun, and the fun is watching them try to explain what the hell is going on and how to fix it? In one episode, the cast stood around a room and debated the morality of aborting a space dragon- very subtle. In another episode, they were chased around 10 Downing street by farting space monsters, who were trying to instigate and profit from nuclear annihilation- also very subtle and serious with sending it's message.
Are you also talking about subtle story arcs? Literally tell when in new who that was the case. Series 1,2,3,4 were memes for being so silly with series arc references. Series 5, 6, and 7 were defined by their arcs intruding into stories.
Have you even watched Doctor Who???
They're obviously making this season with the intent of onboarding new fans- and it's kinda a lot, but the stories are fun and layered like always.
Steven Moffat's 11th Doctor era is one of my favourites in Doctor Who ever! I was struggling in high school with trying to find friends and I got bullied. Matt Smith is my Doctor, the first I got to experience from Beginning to End. Wathing his era was something I looked forward to at the end of each week. No matter what was happening, I knew on the weekend, I had Doctor Who to look forward to. So that era means a lot to me. So I'm glad Steven has come back to write the odd episode here and there for Doctor Who again. :)
My Doctor Who Journey also started with the 11th Doctor. I admit I first found out about Doctor Who through Doctor Whooves (a My Little Pony Version of the Doctor) and then watched clips of the current Doctor which was Matt Smith. I started watching the first few episodes and got hooked on how whacky but also cool this Doctor can be and when I was done it was already time for the 12th Doctor to take over. I thought about stopping to watch but the last scene of the 11th Doctor where he talks with Clara taught me that change can be scary but can also be a good thing and since then I continued watching Doctor Who and I still enjoy it. ^^

I'm not one who's normally quick to drop "-phobic" or "-ist" labels - or any labels, for that matter. But in this case, the dynamic and chemistry between Ncuti and Millie is so similar to the other Russell Davies pairings that I really have to wonder if homophobia is in play when these two are denounced. There are clearly a lot of fans who decided in advance to boycott this season in fear of Davies trying to "gay everything up", so it's not exactly a stretch.

He wrote some great episodes, but some of his absolute best were when he wasn't also the showrunner. So I have very high hopes.

To tell the truth I love new Doctor who Because it's fun hilarious and the musical number in the latest episode is incredible
I'm personally not a fan of the musicals, but I really enjoyed the first two episodes. I was surprised when I went online and saw a lot of criticism from people I tend to agree with. Maybe I'm just happy to have a Doctor who really fits the role.
I'm loving almost everything so far, except the musicals, immaturity and the wokeness in the specials. But I have hope and I'm just happy the show is being run by competent writers

This episode is very important. Millie Gibson is already better than all 4 of Jodie’s characters combined. Ncuti though needs to prove it. He seems too soft and a little cowardly so far. Is he the Doctor? Or is he just Ncuti Gatwa cutting loose?
I'm really liking his energy so far, but he hasn't had his defining moment yet. Even Jodie had hers in her first episode. I'm hoping Steven gives Ncuti something to use his acting chops on

@@NPCarlsson I've been a fan of Doctor Who since the 70s. The direction it is taking now is ridiculous. Dumbing down the audience. Truly terrible scripts that make no sense and are written badly. God knows who it is appealing to if it is. Rotten tomatoes audience rating 31percent.

Space babies was bloody awful the scripting didn't make any sense it was really embarrassing.
Devil's chord was slightly better. The musical at the end was horrendous. I'd say it's about a 30% like it 70 percent don't. Look at the reviews on rotten tomatoes it seems to say the same.
It's a very childish basic take on Doctor Who ticking all the boxes in the process and it's just not particularly exciting or watchable. I'm giving it one more episode and then I'm out if I don't like it

It's sad that the imaginative storytelling and world building takes a back seat to political points that will literally mean less than nothing in a few years, Dr who at its best is a timeless classic and there is no need to pander to the audience when you have actually written something good.

@mayotango1317 i completely disagree. in my opinion, the space babies episode was mind-numbing and uninspired. Maestro was much more interesting but poorly executed, i hope this season continues improving though, as it would be nice to see.

If you're referring to the scene from the Christmas special in which the Doctor is dancing in a club, he's wearing a kilt, not a dress.

I used to be a fan of this show, but Ncuti's smug attitude did the same for me as I'm sure Larson's attitude did to many former Marvel fans. Not to mention that the sheer amount of booger and fart jokes of Space Babies aimed for 6 year olds getting thrown into your face really removes any immersion.
Did like the concept of Maestro though, even though I didn't like how Ncuti turned the Doctor into a bumbling fool in that episode. And not a genius that appears like a bumbling fool like Troughton and Smith did, but an actual bumbling fool.
There's a consensus that The Devil's Chord was supposed to be later in the season, not the second episode. It does seem weird to have 2 episodes in a row where the Doctor runs away from the monster.
@@NPCarlsson Yeah, having a monster on the level of the Toymaker this early is a bit weird to say the least. Still, I do think that that episode was a lot better than the booger and fart jokes of Space Babies. I mean, for god's sake, they used a giant fart to propel the space station and released it from a point between two metal spheres!

I have mixed feelings about this season. You can really see the woke Disney influence pushing LGB crap to the forefront of the one episode. I’ve watched Dr. Who since the 1960’s and it’s the first time I’ve considered walking away from the series. My entire family feels the same…your ruining it by promoting sexual disforia!
