I bought my first set of Vittoria Martello tires 2 yrs ago and will never go back to anything else. I got 2 full yrs out of of them riding 30 miles every weekend mostly riding on pavement. I can’t believe the durability and longevity of these things. I always run enduro/ trail tires on my hardtail even though I ride mostly street simply because I wanna be ready for anything. They roll great they feel super grippy and they last forever. It’s everything I wanted for the type of riding I do. The whole time watching this I was hoping they were gonna be on the list. I’m glade they are because it’s the best tire I ever used. I just replaced the original set from 2020 a few weeks ago front and rear.

If Wheels are the best upgrade for bikes, Tires have to be the second best upgrade, For hard pack trails here in Michigan, XC tires do just fine, a 1000 gram tire is like a tractor tire compared to a 600 gram XC tire, check out the tires bikes ride on in Cape Epic, or XCO races, my tires for Michigan are dual compound so hard in the center, and soft on the sides at a 29x2.35 they hook like glue, and pick up speed like a UFO... 1100 grams thats almost two tires on a XC bike that rides great here. Best Mountain Bike tires for having fun or racing are the tires that work where you ride, hooking up, picking up speed, and lasting. If you want any tire to last don't ride it on pavement, thats too hard packed.. Happy Trails ;) !!!
Maxxis much? Overrated,over priced, obviously maxxis sponsored this video, only other brands mentioned here was specialized, Vittoria,and Michelin. 2 specialized,2 Vittoria and a Michelin. I think Vittoria holds a lot more options and worthy tires and a more affordable price than those maxxis sidewall splitting tires
